Notts County’s Luke Williams on Team Performance: ‘We Cannot Be So Scared to Play Football’

Luke is one very angry manager in this interview and rightly so, you can tell the passion he has for the club when he shouted himself hoarse trying to change the outcome of the game.

how he lost his voice is clear that the players are not listening, but its concerning because it looks like luke williams is running out of things to try. i just hope we can pick up and focus on becoming stronger in the new year. its difficult for sure.

Luke is facing a challenging situation. If the players don’t heed his advice during matches and he reacts this way in interviews, it could lead to speculation that he’s lost control of the dressing room, which I don’t believe is true. Football can change rapidly, and for us, Notts are in the worst phase that Williams has had to deal with during his tenure. Instead of calling for his dismissal or making excuses for the decline, let’s support him and hope we can do enough to prevent this from completely derailing our season.

Luke Williams appears to be in a difficult place right now. I hope he can find a way out of the darkness and inspire a better performance from the team. I fully support him and believe he will turn things around. However, we may have to accept that for now, Notts may lose more than they win.

I have great faith in Luke Williams, and I’m confident that he has the ability to turn things around. This is his first significant challenge at Notts County. We had a team capable of advancing from the National League when he joined. He just needs time to work out what’s going wrong and how we can overcome these issues.

Yes, it’s more than just a headache, it’s frustrating, but we can’t start demanding a new manager, just as it’s unrealistic to expect a completely new set of centre backs. We’re sorely missing Matt Palmer, who brings so much control to our midfield. It’s not an excuse. The defence should be able to cope, but they’re simply not up to the task at the moment.

I believe everyone needs to take a breather, concentrate on what has previously brought the club success, and try not to focus too much on past mistakes. To keep our season on track, the players must start paying attention to Luke Williams - although perhaps he needs to take a step back to fully understand what’s happening.

It’s never smooth sailing. I sympathise with Luke Williams, but he’s making errors too. I concur with the suggestions to stabilise the back three and attempt to resolve the issues. If the players aren’t receptive, he needs to replace them with those willing to make the necessary changes. The first choice should be to work with a consistent back three if possible.

Williams's comments are undoubtedly a bitter pill to swallow for us fans. It's concerning when your head coach criticises your team's lack of courage on the pitch. It seems that a resolute mindset is the first of many steps we must take to recover from this slump. We have a tough road ahead, but as fans, let's rally behind our team and coach.

It's pretty shocking to hear that Williams had to shout himself hoarse. The lads need to buck up and start listening. These are crucial times and every instruction counts.

I didn't like seeing Luke Williams' response, how he lost his voice or seemed to be defeated in pain. The players need to jump into brick walls for him. Defensively, they need to make us prouder. They can do it if they keep their heads and make the right decisions.

While it's clear that our performances haven't been up to scratch, Williams' critical analysis and call for change have provided a route for growth. Notts (like my first team) still has a long way to go before the team is where the fans want to be, but it's good to see fans getting behind LW. Both my teams are doing ok,all things considered, and don't forget  we're not even half way through the season but more importantly we both still exist.

I agree with Williams' call for assertive defensive play. Having seen the performance, we're far too soft. Let's aim to strike fear in the opposition, not the other way around.

I believe Luke is the best Manager to take us forward and possibly get us into the playoffs at the end of the regular season.

I love to see passion in a Manager and Luke has lots of that.

I believe it only needs the right players to come in at the January window to turn our fortunes around, and I want some of Luke's passion transferred into the way we play too.

In the new year, I'd like to see the 50 point mark achieved  first then push on from there.
