I’m really hoping we get some walking wounded back and we can bounce back with this game, I’d start Cedwyn Scott he seems to have found his goal scoring touch, play him alongside Jatta and bring Didzy on in the second half.

2-0 Notts

winning at home on saturday would help ease things a little, not that i think we need to worry but it would be a boost. i agree with @Fan of Big Tone, i would like to see cedwyn scott start. notts just needs to be more direct on goal, and less reliant on trying to poach an effort or walk the ball into the net. i am sure the training will have focused on defensive and attacking drills.

Another vital game coming up for Notts. I think this is a must win game.

Notts are just struggling because they are missing our creative players & every match that goes by is evidence of this.

I think we also missed Abbott in the centre of midfield on Tuesday. I hope that he was just rested as a precaution on Tuesday.

He has become vital for Notts with his tenacity & work rate in front of the Notts defence.

I think that Notts need to play Jatta with McGoldrick again, Scott on the bench.

The problem is who will partner McGoldrick behind Jatta? I'll go for Brown who needs to really step up now.

Even if some of the injured players are ready to return, Stuart won't play them from the start anyway, so this would be my team on Saturday.

Bass, Macari, Ness, Bedeau, Tsaroulla, Palmer, Hinchy, Gordon, Brown, McGoldrick, Jatta

Subs

Slocombe, Robertson, Martin, Scott, M Cisse or Abbott (if fit), McDonald, Austin

I think that it will be a hard slog for Notts. They must be strong in defence & cut out the mistakes that have been creeping in lately.

Key area is our attacking midfield & our ability to supply & create clear cut chances & take those chances.

We have to win on Saturday but I will always take a draw as a last resort. My score is 2:1 Notts.

There will be games like this. The only thing we can ask is that the players give 100%, and I believe they did that. The Walsall keeper made some good saves, but I think had it ended 3-1 the score would have looked worse. The fact that we managed to pull it back to 3-2 brings some perspective. I would like to think that had we scored earlier, it would have encouraged us to go on and win the game. We were unlucky at times at the back, but we need to be more aware because that's how you reduce the chances teams get. I am not disheartened; with quite a few key injuries, I think those stepping in are doing well enough.

We must catch a break sooner rather than later, surely? Colchester United are a real Jekyll and Hyde team. We can outplay them and then let them back into the game, or they can simply outplay us. Even though they are 17th, I wouldn't write them off, and we can't rely on being at home. With the injuries, whoever plays will have to dig deep to ensure we leave everything on the pitch.

I hope Notts play encouragingly enough to make it easier for fans to get behind them; otherwise, it could get quite vocal with dissatisfaction about our play. We also can't rely on the officials, so fingers crossed that whoever starts brings their shooting boots.

I'll be nice and snug in an executive box, so the crowd might not be as audible for me. Still, we need to play in a way that gets people onside.

Colchester can punish you if you take your foot off the pedal. I feel much more confident with us being at home. Jatta will step up and grab a couple of goals. I think we could do very well on Saturday.

Good to hear Platt and Abbott are back. I think the Colchester game is one we need right now, not to disrespect them but they have only won 1 game away so far this season (and just 4 in total this season). We have nothing to fear in that respect and even with our depleted attack we’ve got the quality to beat them.

I think they’ll follow the trend of pretty much everyone who has come to Meadow Lane this season and that’s to keep it tight, sit back and frustrate us. So I’d expect us to dominate possession and I think it’ll just be a case of can we break them down and not leave ourselves vulnerable to any counters. In our last homes games, we’ve been able to control the games but scoring has been an issue. I didn’t realise how lacking we are in terms of goals at home this season, we’ve only scored 10 goals (And 4 of them came in the game against Grimsby!) So for that reason, I can’t see it being a high scoring game.

Colchester might come with a bit more belief after their 4-0 win against Swindon in the week, but I’m hoping it might be false confidence or even a touch of over confidence because Swindon right now are shocking! Come on Notts, lets get back to winning ways here!

Colchester might be nearer the bottom half, but their recent results show that they are becoming organised. I hope that Notts can put on a strong defensive showing while being creative enough on goal. We don't lack creativity; we just need more movement. We should make multiple runs to give whoever has the ball options and open up space. Opposing players will need to be mindful of who to track, which will create more space. Defenders find this type of movement the hardest to control!

I think Colchester will be thinking that there won't be a better time to play us. They haven't conceded a goal in their last 3 games. They are better than their league position suggests.

Abbott and Platt being available is a huge boost. We need a win. I'll go for a cagey 1-0 win.
