City's Stuart Maynard and Ollie Pearce win November leagu...

York City have scooped up both monthly awards from the Enterprise National League after a perfect record in the month of November was rewarded.

Very well-deserved as well. So pleased he's doing well. It would be a great story if he could get York promoted to the Football League at the end of the season.

They do have some fierce competition In Rochdale, Forest Green & Carlisle who I'm sure will be wanting to get promoted too.

The National League is certainly going to be very competitive this season with the standard being high. I think many pundits make a good case for the NL to become League 3 & join the EFL one of these days.

They're flying now, just a couple of points off the top. And it's all the more impressive considering their slow start. The NL looks like it's going to be fascinating this season, plenty of twists and turns yet to come.

I’m pleased for Maynard, after all the stick he received about being a BT engineer, he’s proving he is a very capable manager.

He’s certainly landed on his feet by ending up at York as he got himself one of the best clubs outside of the Football League. They were unlucky not to get promoted last season, their current squad is full of quality players for the level one them being the player of the month award winner Ollie Pearce. He's the best striker in that league and having scored 16 in 21 he could get close to Macca’s record!

On New Year's Day, Stuart Maynard's York City currently stand in 2nd place in the National League, They have only lost two of their 24 matches so far with 15 wins. They have scored 63 goals & conceded only 26. It's nice to see Stuart doing well.

One of the most remarkable aspects of the season was that Stuart Maynard inherited a team that was only four league games into the campaign and sitting 12th when he arrived. By the end of the season, York were champions.

The title race went right down to the final day against fellow promotion contenders Rochdale AFC. York needed a result and, after Rochdale scored in the 95th minute, it looked as though promotion had slipped away. Then Josh Stones equalised in the 103rd minute to secure promotion and the championship in dramatic fashion.

Stuart Maynard's work was recognised at the National League awards, where he won Manager of the Season.

All the best to Stuart and his team, if he carries on in this manner we could possibly come up against him in the 27/28 season 🤔
