My thoughts on Notts at the moment

Day by day this club is getting worse off. Alan Hardy came in and began doing wonders for but him being on twitter is the biggest mistake he has made. Constantly causes divides between the Notts fans, his false promises are happening far too much. There has been no statement of Dougie Pullen leaving the club or any of the directors leaving. We have gone from bringing in young teams and letting them shoot and play in goal to having the owners son take the spotlight. The whole feel of a family club seems to be eradicating day by day. Behind the scenes our club is an utter shambles.

I said this about Hardy a while ago, saying about he shouldn't argue with fans so it doesn't create arguments and it doesn't create friction between the fans and Hardy himself. If there is less arguments we can move forward. Recruitment is a massive factor in the club's position right now. We never replaced Ryan Yates properly and we didn't buy any strong defenders who can come in to start straight away, other than Hall. The leaders disappeared in the dressing room and that is another big factor. We abandoned what we were good at last season.

The club has to be mindful about what they do, so I don't blame them for not acknowledging it at the moment.

A mutual friend was telling me that his wife has left him, you know the one who wasn't well but makes every game (correction *used to make every game) and yet relies on him to look after her? Well that got him out of going to where he belongs.

Alan Hardy hasn't adapted to Twitter, he should come off it and stop socialising with those that just cause him grief.

It's a two way street, as I have seen things where he has been untoward to fans and this isn't acceptable - yet it comes both ways.

Twitter is Hardys down fall that’s the truth and I stand by my comment about what he said about selling the club and twitter actions.

It's too early unless his hearts not in it.

If he does decide to step down, I hope people allow him to leave gracefully because the two good years he's had have been two of the best back-to-back seasons I have experienced as a Notts fan. It's a shame how everything seems to be undoing in front of our eyes.

Our clubs recruitment is a joke, a handful of players have been missed out on this transfer window which would have been so beneficial to us. How can fans like us recognise talent and prospects for Notts to utilise yet there is paid professionals in the recruitment jobs who can't spot talent if it hit them in the face. It seems like we over spent on strikers. As @ARLukomski we could have had Jay Emmanual Thomas for free instead of buying Dennis, what a striker partnership that would have been, Hemmings and Emmanual Thomas. Then we could have spent 100,000 on either a decent full back or CB. Jack Grimmer is struggling to get a game at Coventry City, he would have been ideal for 100,000 maybe a bit more.

I, personally, don't think AH can do right for doing wrong with this. If he keeps quiet, there's an endless stream of folk BEGGING him for info about...well, everything! And, if he shares his enthusiasm for (say,) potential new signings and they then don't come off, he's accused of making 'false promises'. I understand too, that he had a clear wish to be up-front and personal, so Twitter would seem an ideal place. He doesn't (yet) have the 'presence' of an Andy Holt or Darragh MacAnthony, but now, (for me) there's the worry that his NON-PRESENCE on Twitter, may signals unknown/untold PROBLEMS. (See how he just can't win?)

To be fair, I read he's about £6.5m 'in' to Notts at present; and I'm sure I also read he said continual/continued investment was/ is beyond his means where he'd need to look for others to help, financially. It may be that he's now come to that point!

Perhaps too, with so much of his time taken-up protecting what he's invested here at Notts, his other businesses may suffer due to his being unable to pay them as much attention? 

Let's face it, recent events and investments, had him admitting to not sleeping for 3 nights, straight; and also that had he have known what it'd be like, he'd never have bought the club!

I don't know a) how sustainable that is with (11) other businesses to run; b) whether I'd be prepared to do it or for how much longer, he is; c) with so much dependent on 'results by others' (not MY own personal endeavours) d) when 'bonds' with Nolan, Fletcher and Enever (and who knows, who else) appear clearly shot/gone and e) with little/no/not much 'appreciation' from most on Twitter, who only appear to wish to insult, take the piss, moan, beg information or generally rant at him, when as a fan himself, he just clearly wanted to mix a bit of business with his pleasure of being a Notts fan himself, in buying the club.

Like someone else offered, Alan Hardy and his efforts, have restored my faith in a club I've supported for so long and in gifting eight others, ST's these past two years, I wanted this 'feel good factor' to last oh so much longer. 

On the football side, I'm still not calling it quits! This club, it's history, it's fight and it's tenacity, I believe, is worthy of my not just 'giving-up on it'! 

So, irrelevant of current 'form' (or, even, in spite of the lack of it) I'll still be there...waiting for the next 'drama' and wishing for this team to finally gel and live-up to what we all want them to be.

Alan Hardy should come off Twitter, it does him more harm than good and people can then complain he doesn't speak to fans.

The club has issues and there's some reason behind the poor form.

I think it might have something to do with debt but the squad needs to get on with it. The dream has fallen short this season and it's becoming hard to be positive about a club that is free falling out of League Two.
