Carl Dickinson: 'Notts County have got some mojo back'

Joe Jones

Carl Dickinson has claimed that Notts County have got back some of their mojo following impressive wins in their last two games.

The Magpies endured a mixed October in terms of results and performances, but they finished the month with a 3-0 victory over Newport County.

That result was followed up by a 4-2 win over Bristol Rovers in the FA Cup first round, overturning a two-goal deficit in exhilarating fashion.

“Over the last few weeks I think people have seen that we have got a bit of our mojo back,” Dickinson told the Nottingham Post.

“Sometimes we get labelled a long ball team, but if you had come to watch the last two games you would see how much quality we have got.

“You would see how many chances we created and how we put teams under pressure here at Meadow Lane.

“It doesn’t hurt our feelings when people talk about long balls because at the end of the day it’s all about scoring goals and winning.

“Some might call it a long ball, we call it a long pass. It doesn’t bother me in the slightest.”
