All in all considering their home form it’s not a bad result, just the loss at the weekend means 1 point from 2 games so we really need a win against Dagenham to just make sure we don’t start to fall away. No-one above us won and Grimsby, Halifax and Bromley all lost so that’s a point gained on them! And it’s great that Altrincham scored two late goals against Chesterfield… Good wins for Wrexham and Stockport, is that the two big money teams slowly on the rise now?

Notts appears to be attracting interest in players and replacing them will prove be the ultimate test for the clubs recruitment policy. What value do you put on the following players? I am also wondering if you feel we can afford to let any of them go and if so, how does Notts replace them without losing momentum? I used to take part in pub quizzes a few years ago, but not anymore. I found that they were becoming a bit too competitive after they were only originally done for fun. We used to win our fair share back in the day, but then you started to see serious teams forming just to win the (not that generous) prizes, so we gave up as it stopped being fun.

I agree with this evaluation of the players, if we want to keep him its got to be the top end. Cal Roberts could go for more than £500k, it all depends on this season, how many goals he gets and if he can stay fit. The club has to market the players value based on how important they're to us. Allowing players to leave moderately cheaply has haunted the club in the past.

Evaluating the players is difficult, because they're only worth what people are willing to spend on them. I do like how Ian Burchnall insists that they're our players, but the club will have in mind what price would be tempting and, I would imagine we'd try to negotiate the best deal possible. This said, my value won't likely be what the club might seek, but it is what I would ask. Replacing them is difficult. There is a chance we might be able to swap players, but obviously, this could come at the risk of devaluing any player. Until a player sold, I won't personally worry about replacing anyone - yet the club clearly has their own eyes on players.
