  1. I throw my hat, well thoughts into wishing @Piethagoram all the best. I think he knows where I am and that I care, sometimes people think I care only about PON and that's very much far from the truth. It's easier to feel more like myself here, than on social media where sometimes you have unpleasant people reading into everything you say or write. Take care of yourself Piethagoram, just know we are here.
  2. Thanks as always, @DangerousSausage. Blackburn Rovers 0-0 Plymouth Argyle Millwall 0-1 Birmingham City Port Vale 1-2 Shrewsbury Town Reading 2-0 Wycombe Wanderers Joker Accrington Stanley 0-1 Bradford City Sutton United 1-3 Grimsby Town Aldershot 0-1 Oldham Athletic Kidderminster Harriers 0-0 York City
  3. @Dripsey3 i won't get this out of my head now.
  4. Jake Reeves... Before @Robbie gets it.
  5. Supposedly their data centre, but once I'm home I am going to change my password. A lot of media companies have been wording this incident like there's more to it, I don't trust any social network to be openly honest about having any sort of issues. The likelihood is, someone within Facebook caused the issue by accident. It seems to be back now, but I really do feel cautious about it. Personally, I wouldn't fret about FB going down. It's just the nature of how widespread it is and with little acknowledgement from Meta themselves.
  6. I suddenly noticed that Facebook had logged me out, I tried to sign in and it wouldn't let me. So, I decided to try to reset my password, which didn't work either. A quick check to see if others were experiencing it, and I see people are speculating that it's been hacked. It could very well be down but signing users out of its service is a very strange aspect. Twitter users are having a good chuckle at the expense of Facebook, not that Twitter (Xxcom) doesn't have its own issues. Hopefully, it's just a case of Facebook being down. It would be quite alarming to think it has been hacked, what with all the information a social media site like it would have.
  7. Thanks guys, I know what you are both saying and appreciate it. They'll remain on my bug list with a priority to getting them resolved.
  8. Just like Notts, nothing is ever plain sailing or simple. Yet value is the most important thing, as is being there for people. 👍🏻

  9. I've seen both many times myself, especially in those highlight reel type shows where they show the greatest saves or moments in football. I always rated Gordon Banks save as being one of the best. I used to think Peter Shilton was somewhat overrated in comparison to him, but wisdom comes with age. Both keepers were brilliant players for their clubs and country.
  10. This is a great idea, hopefully it will lead to inspiration and a lot of good times celebrating with past players of Notts. I do back the comment about ex players coming to Notts itself more often, the club massively missed out celebrating Sir Charlie Palmer day recently, and it's always good to see former players return on match days - even when results aren't going our way.
  11. John Chiedozie was a special talent, from all the videos I have seen of him playing. The more I wished I had been lucky to have seen it live, instead of just footage.
  12. I believe I would average between 5–6 games per season with my grandfather, until 1998. He wanted me to witness seeing Notts go up as Champions, so we went to a fair amount of games that season. I remember the red arrows and a parachuter entering the stadium by gliding in before the Arsenal friendly. The season itself, I don't remember a lot of - it all sort of merges into one. It was a good season. I had seen Notts be successful before but not to this level. I know my grandfather felt it was important for us to get out of League Two. Little would he know that after his death, it would be where we called home for far too long. It's why we shouldn't rush things or think on the short term objective.
  13. @nottsnutter It's no bother, I have asked, but I am trying to push for further investigation by the support team as to why certain emails aren't being received. I keep being told it's common for it to happen, but I think there's something more to it. I can't figure out any reasons, no emails are being reported by the system as being unsent or failing. I will get to the bottom of it, unfortunately sometimes these do take time to find or resolve. @Fan of Big Tone Does Safari have any navigation buttons which come up on the screen as you browse? Basically, I mean if the navigation reacts to something and is being nudged up? I have come across this with Chrome at times; this behaviour in my scenario resolves when I continue to browse down. If it's appearing higher straight away, then that is something which could lead to its replication. I forgot to say, the dark theme's navigation has now been resolved.
  14. Yesterday was by far the best day for at least a year, it might come across as I haven't done much on here - but I really needed the downtime. I know some other members have expressed how frustrating the negativity has been and in result made it less interesting to talk about Notts which is fair enough. For me, it's been nothing about the results but more wanting to spend quality time with my family. My children are of the age where doing things as a family isn't always practical, and I miss this as much as @cheeky~k8 does. I was a bit sleepy at the start, very tired from the week. Once up, I spent a lot of time around Kate and Ava. Kate baked some lovely brownies. I am not the biggest fan of chocolate in cakes and I don't like brownies usually, but these are nice. I have only eaten bits of the scrap left behind on the baking paper. After the Derby game, we started to prepare to go see @super_ram - we wanted to spend time belated to his birthday as we had a few gifts for him. I won't say what @super_pie decided to buy him, but it made us laugh. It was a really nice time, having a laugh and talking. Asking questions related to a book we bought, Super, that was very interesting. We ordered takeaway as it simplified things, even though dad said he wasn't all that hungry he made work of his burger and chips. I really loved it! Today, I am catching up with my admin/webmaster duties.
  15. Doesn't that make you thankful for the excellent ground staff that we have? I don't know if Bradford have pitch covers, but they can't have done much. I have been in this situation, where I have travelled and got close to the ground for it to be called off. It's frustrating, but hopefully fans salvaged the day. I know some people went on to watch other local games, obviously making do of the situation. Ideally, it will lead to us being a bit more prepared for our next match.
  16. Does this make anyone think differently? I don't see it happening but the council is far from to be trusted with regards to ground rent.
  17. Dele Adebola, Paul Bolland, François Zoko, Stephen Darby, Delroy Facey, Richard Liburd, Wes Thomas, Garry Thompson, Alan Sheehan, Ricky Ravenhill, Gary MacKenzie all played for both teams. I wanted to put Gary Liddle to, but someone beat me. "Every Liddle Helps".
  18. Pressure will be on both teams, Notts to stop the defeats from coming in and Bradford to maintain their form. Usually, I would believe this would make it likely to be a draw but both teams defences are of error. I am hoping Notts can just quietly go about their game, creating chances and preventing any opportunities which may fall Bradford's way. I won't be tuning in, I feel there's an element of guaranteed defeat when I do. I wasn't that hopeful against Newport County, as they can play their game similar to how Crewe beat us, and we were away then too. I think going into the game with little expectation and more hope, might just be a good thing. I would love to see comments coming in about how we played some great attacking football and managed to get a good result. I suppose we'll have to wait and see, it's going to be more difficult for us considering the uphill battle we are currently facing. I hope the players do well for Stuart Maynard's sake.
  19. Preston North End 1-0 Hull City Swansea City 0-2 Blackburn Rovers Cheltenham Town 1-1 Burton Albion Leyton Orient 0-1 Bristol Rovers Crawley Town 2-1 Barrow Joker Grimsby Town 0-1 Forest Green Rovers AFC Fylde 0-0 Maidenhead United Woking 1-1 Kidderminster Harriers
  20. The biggest issue is if the club doesn't price their facilities competitively against other options. Whilst the fan zone would largely be popular, its success needs to be met by making the experience it offers affordable and at a point that it makes sense to compete against other areas such as the Navi/Embankment. It's an ambitious project, which I think is great.
  21. @Fan of Big Tone you caught your man flu from somewhere else, I haven't had it for some time. Haha... This weekend I will be turning off my devices and spending 70% of my time in the real world. I won't be paying attention to Notts, I will be visiting Super on Saturday. If I am online, it will mostly likely fall in that 30%, but I really need to stay grounded. I might even talk someone into going for a walk on Sunday, that won't be Super though. He will be busy washing his hair.
  22. There's a collection of different aspects, but ultimately it comes down to the defence and the concerns echoed by @Piethagoram at the start of the season. I think we missed the chance to further strengthen the back-up in the January window; teams who required a striker did so and have benefitted from that, but I do think we needed Alassana Jatta. That's nothing against him personally; I just feel it would be easier to see signs of improvements had we brought in experience in the defensive department. We might have been able to sign two centre backs and a defensive midfielder for the fee spent on Jatta. It's possible the club didn't identify any realistic targets in defence, but we must at the end of the season. Outscoring the opposition is never a smart choice to chase in football, especially when you leak goals and unfortunately Luca Ashby-Hammond is no better than Sam Slocombe or Aidan Stone. He's not experienced enough for what we need. Ashby-Hammond shouldn't be starting games, if I were Stuart Maynard I would bring back Sam Slocombe for his experience. I would stop switching the formation and settle the back three down, try to work with them. More emphasis needs to be placed on our wing backs to defend, both Aaron Nemane and Jodi Jones are barely existent in this department. Check back on the goals conceded, and you'll see many of which Jones should have done better with, including that awful pass which is Richard Duffyesq. Love him as an attacking option, but more discipline in defence is required from the whole team but especially the wing backs. Some managers might be tempted to focus more on structure than the actual performances, I don't know, Stuart Maynard has a big headache and 99% of the issue for me is out of his hands. He can only try to weather through the awful results, which ultimately will cost his head if it's not fixed - not the players.
  23. Happy birthday dad, we've got some lovely presents for you. x
  24. Disappointingly, he's very difficult to drop because of the lack of actual cover. I dislike how some fans biasedly defend John Bostock simple because he's a great person and makes a trip to celebrate the fans - meanwhile others can't put a foot wrong. His performances along with David McGoldrick haven't been good enough, at least at home but reputation proceeds whereby it's acceptable. I value both players, but they need to start based on merit and neither should be defended simply for being "Notts" or a "nice guy". Form isn't sentimental and I think a lot of players miss Matt Palmer. Yet some of the poor form is more down to making rash, careless or poor judgement calls in the moment of games.
