  1. Enzio wasn’t the worst player we had, he just hit a slump and never recovered. In League Two, he was often our best player. I know we had a team that didn’t fight as hard as they could have, but he did. I wish him all the best.
  2. Dan Crowley is the obvious choice, but in my opinion, he’s the only real answer. I wish we could see more consistency from some of the other players. The team has been performing well, but there have been periods when certain players could have performed much better.
  3. Yes, Walsall might surprise some fans. I’ve noticed a lot of people on social media acting as if we’ve already won and that our result will lead to their manager being sacked. I dislike this attitude as it makes us look like a foolish group of supporters. I don’t want to leave Meadow Lane feeling embarrassed. Hopefully, the team can secure a good result.
  4. This is the beauty of PON, it offers nuggets of history and a pleasant platform to discuss Notts without any nuisance.
  5. I’m not certain, it seems like a move larger clubs can execute successfully, and I doubt we have the fan base to pull it off, to be honest.
  6. It’s frustrating when teams dwell on their past glories, leading to their downfall due to poor performance. A draw might have spared them, but they need to confront and accept relegation. They should aim to bounce back stronger.
  7. Why would you even consider touching the ball? It’s absolute folly, such a foolish error to commit.

  9. Hello, @Strawb66. Welcome to the community and PON.
  10. Cameron's hitting the nail when acknowledging the need for increased concentration. Fingers crossed for a good performance against Walsall and a stronger showing in the back.
  11. Right then, can't wait for this match tomorrow. Sure, Walsall’s had it rough, but they've got decent team, haven't they? This match is going to be a belter, mark my words.
  12. I love Cameron's honesty and humility. Yes, we've been sloppy, but there's a collective effort to improve. Good luck against Walsall.
  13. I appreciate the honesty in this article. Williams's approach towards the defensive challenges and his optimism about the potential for success are refreshing. It's great that he acknowledges the hurdles ahead and yet remains positive about the future.
  14. McGoldrick must be a great asset to assist the younger talent! What better way to learn than to have seasoned pros share their wisdom on and off the pitch.
  15. I’m fully supportive of nurturing young talent, but it’s essential to strike a balance with experience as well. James Sanderson has caught my eye, he’s a real difference-maker in the game.
  16. I can let it go, but it was truly dreadful. Luke Williams needs to tackle the defensive issues because they’re hindering our potential. It’s the only thing standing in our way.
  17. When we defend as we did tonight, it just sets us back. Notts are solid in every other area, and we’d be much stronger in goal if the defenders didn’t make it so difficult to keep a clean sheet. Shrewsbury didn’t even have to force the errors, we just made them. I can push it to the back of my mind, I’m disappointed but I really want to see Luke Williams address this.
  18. Notts turned the match around with their start, even though it wasn’t the prettiest. I had the impression that Crawley, with their style of play, would score a few past Sam Slocombe. Luckily, David McGoldrick equalised for us, which I think significantly dented the confidence of our opponents. I wasn’t impressed with their goalkeeper, who seemed a bit lost, but the rest of their team appeared quite competent. Thankfully, they weren’t as good as our squad, and we managed to secure the victory.
  19. The match against Shrewsbury is going to be tight. They’re a well-coordinated team, and I don’t think our passing game will disrupt that. I’m just hoping we advance to the 3rd round with a solid performance.
  20. It’s great to see that the two most deserving members have been recognised as the Members of the Month. Well done, @Piethagoram and @super_ram.
  21. Notts are playing tonight, which leaves my weekend open. At the moment, I don’t have any plans, but I know my family will likely decide to meet up at a local pub and then head back to someone’s house afterwards for food and drinks. On Sunday, I just want to rest before the start of a new week. It’s starting to get chilly.
  22. Can the match be watched through a live stream?
  23. "Fairytale of New York" is a hit that has everything you could want. It begins with a sombre tone, then brightens up, becoming cheerful. It's full of spirit. I haven't listened to it yet this year, but when I do, I'll be grateful for Shane McGowan's genius. May he rest in peace.
