  1. I've been lurking for a while, but this nudged me to finally participate actively. Following the ‘Jimmy Sirrel Stand’ forum has been enlightening. Hats off for urging us to utilise this, it will make the fan experience more enjoyable, and I’m here for it.
  2. I get it, but as an outsider, I don’t think protecting the players from defeats is necessary. It might be something Luke Williams prefers, I’m not sure, but it does affect the information coming from the club. Every player can provide a unique perspective, even in defeat.
  3. I’m tired of encountering negativity online. It’s not beneficial for me, and it certainly isn’t for Notts. I understand and share the frustration with the defence, but we need to move on. We won’t win every match, and if we persist in feeling frustrated by every occurrence, no progress will be made.
  4. From what I’ve observed, it’s a good signing. I agree that he has more to contribute and display, but that will come with time.
  5. I believe a more straightforward approach could alleviate issues at the back. It would be beneficial to ensure we’re not left lacking or with few options to pass the ball when under pressure. However, I don’t think having three robust centre backs familiar with the position would make a significant difference.
  6. While it's clear that our performances haven't been up to scratch, Williams' critical analysis and call for change have provided a route for growth. His focus on building up properly, making forward passes instead of turnovers, and being assertive in defence, shed light on gaps we can fill. This insight into the complexity of managing a team gives fans like myself perspective on how layered improvements need to be. We may be down, but Williams, with his experience and commitment, seems the right man to lead Notts County out of this slump.
  7. Williams is setting the tone right for the upcoming matches with his positive and constructive attitude. The match against Harrogate is an opportunity to demonstrate that we have learned from our past mistakes. Optimistic as always, let's push ahead with the same attitude!
  8. It's a great bit of insight about the key players from both sides, this. The talk about Macaulay Langstaff has been getting louder and one can't help but hope he gives us another goal fest tomorrow.
  9. If we succeed in finishing in the top three or advance through the playoffs, all of this will be overlooked. It might also turn out to be a hidden advantage. I can’t remark on the performance as I’ve only seen the highlights, which keep me up at night, but I can say we’ve faced much tougher situations and emerged stronger. Let’s stand by the players, because they were rewarded last week and with our backing, they might just do it again this time.
  10. In the early 90s, Oldham had a highly skilled team that was rapidly broken up due to the sale of their key players. It’s a pity because they had a thrilling style of play at that time.
  11. O’Brien’s goal despite playing from a deep position was a pleasant surprise! It shows his adaptability and willingness to push boundaries on the field.
  12. Junior's journey from injury sheds light on mental toughness and the importance of being a supportive presence off-field. His firm grasp of the game's challenges, unrelenting passion, unwavering commitment to excellence, and deep regard for teamwork make him a great footballer. Hats off to Junior!
  13. I would prefer owners who are clever, courteous, and also passionate about other clubs any day of the week over those who treat their fans and clubs poorly. Good owners are hard to come by, so best of luck to Wrexham.
  14. What are the odds that a single goal will once again determine the away score? I anticipate a very close game, with several good opportunities but not many clear ones.
  15. England could have certainly performed better. I believe Harry Kane was left alone for much of the early game, which seemed to benefit Malta more than us. We started to improve once he received support. However, I’m not concerned about the performance or the fact that England only scored twice. The task was completed and that’s all that matters.
  16. Williams' insight into the strong unity in Wimbledon's team brings to mind the old saying, "united we stand, divided we fall". He gives credit where it's due and that speaks volumes about his understanding of the game. As a Notts fan, I'm excited to see how our team will face this united front. If we can disrupt their unity, we might catch them off-guard.
  17. The key point to remember here is that everything can be resolved with a bit of effort. There’s no need for concern, but we do need to return to our winning form. Mark Stallard’s insights are quite sensible; it’s crucial to maintain structure and work in harmony.
  18. Absolutely, I couldn’t agree more. Given the current form of our opponents, we should definitely be aiming for a win. Our boys have demonstrated remarkable resilience in the past, and I’m hopeful they’ll maintain their winning streak. Applying pressure from the get-go and excelling in set-pieces could be our secret weapon. I’ll certainly be tuning into the live stream to cheer them on! Let’s hope for a great match.
  19. It’s really uplifting to see a footballer like Sam Austin who shines not just on the field, but also grasps the finer details of the sport. His perspective on Notts’ rise to the top of League Two offers a peek into what’s needed to make it in football - a lot of graft, commitment, working as a team, and above all, having faith in yourself and your teammates.
  20. The upcoming Notts County match against Forest Green, it’s certainly going to be an exciting encounter. The sight of Meadow Lane, even through the iFollow stream, is bound to be impressive. The stadium, with its rich history and electric atmosphere, always adds an extra layer of excitement to the matches. As a fan, I am eagerly looking forward to this match and hoping for a win for Notts County. Let’s hope the team brings their A-game and secures a victory!
  21. The unique attribute that distinguishes Jones in the realm of football is his remarkable adaptability. His ability to adjust and excel in varying conditions and roles is truly exceptional. This versatility is not just a testament to his broad skill set, but also to his mental agility and understanding of the game. It’s this adaptability that truly makes him a rare gem in the world of football.
  22. Adam is a true fan of Notts, showing his love for the club in good times and bad. His words are strong and make us think: even when things are tough, we can find joy. For Adam, that joy comes from Notts County. His story touches our hearts!
  23. Listening to Crowley speaking so profoundly of our beloved club. Clearly, he's having a time of his life here and that's visible in his breath taking performances week in, week out. His praises for the likes of Jones and Langstaff do hold water, they’ve been instrumental throughout. As fans, we only dream and hope, but it is they who make it reality.
  24. Great match report! Kyle Cameron really stepped up for Notts County.
  25. It’s good to see Neal Ardley back in management; he should do wonders for York City. It would be nice to see them back within the Football League. I wish him well.
