It’s a good move by the club. It would be great if Notts’ staff could be more creative and try new things, not just copy other clubs. But it’s good they’re open to trying proven ideas. I’m confident it’ll work well, especially if Les is in charge.

A Discussion on Favourite Websites
OoooooTommy replied to allardyces tash's topic in Granny Pie's General Discussion
I mostly visit news websites and Netflix. I’m not much into YouTube or other streaming platforms like Dailymotion. I like online communities, but I’m not a huge fan of social media. It’s alright in small amounts, but too much can be depressing. -
A little bit of magic can make a big difference, so I’m hoping Jodi Jones can change the game for us. Home teams should make their ground a tough place for visitors. We should support our players instead of criticising them. Positive support has often helped turn things around. Let’s hope tomorrow is our day!

How Grateful Us Lads Are’: Sam Austin’s Heartfelt Thanks to Notts County Fans
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
Reading Austin’s thanks makes me even prouder to support Notts. It's a tough season, and knowing players like Sam not only recognize but appreciate our efforts, fuels my support even further. His pivotal role, adapting seamlessly across the field, provides a blueprint for the versatility and resilience we need in the run-in. It's players like him, acknowledging the fans' role, that enhance the bond between club and community. Here’s to closing the season strong, together.- 14 comments

Notts County's Stuart Maynard Previews Tough Encounter with Wimbledon
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
Stuart Maynard's positivity in the face of fixture congestion is exactly the type of leadership needed during such a hectic period. Recognizing the importance of every squad member, including the boost from McGoldrick's return, shows a strong team ethos. It’s clear Maynard is looking to instill not just a fighting spirit but a winning mentality, focused on one game at a time. -
Brilliant idea from the club! This could really enhance match days for fans. I hope they don't go overboard with the plans and instead keep it simple at first, allowing room for improvement. This way, it can grow in sync with the fans and not fall short despite its initial promise.

Notts County Provides Comprehensive Injury Update on Players
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
Matty Palmer’s dedication to his recovery is truly inspiring. His work ethic, as he tackles the immense challenge of building muscle mass after such a significant injury, is a testament to his determination and resilience. It’s heartening to hear that he’s pushing himself, recognising the importance of strength in his journey back to the pitch. We’re all eagerly awaiting his return, keeping our fingers crossed for a swift and successful recovery. His progress serves as a reminder of the grit and spirit inherent in football. Here’s to Palmer’s speedy return!- 15 comments

Hello! Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham @True Magpie.

There are many uncertainties with us being without a manager. I believe Jim O'Brien will realise through experience that a stable team is more effective. I also don't think anyone played particularly poorly, at least not individually or enough to be removed from the team. I will be pleased to see us reach Saturday without rumors of players leaving. That, along with a good performance against Stockport, could be a relief.

Anglo-Italian Cup Memories.
OoooooTommy replied to Robbie's topic in Granny Pie's General Discussion
Those were the days, a genuine Wembley and Wembley way. I get mixed up about which final it was where we scored straight from a throw-in, only for it to be disallowed. Andy Legg was ahead of his time with those long throws. -
Welcome to our community! We’re thrilled to have you here @Robbie__64.

Macualay Langstaff Reflects on a Remarkable Year for Notts County
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
Fantastic to see Langstaff's progression this year, he's really stepped up. His transition from non-league to League Two has been inspiring to say the least. I'm eager to see him in action next year. He deserves all our encouragement. -
Adam Nowland is another player to be added to this list.
-
I don’t think it’s a wise decision, but I haven’t seen many complaints. I believe Steve Cooper was capable of keeping them up. It’s an odd decision to make just before Christmas.
-
Ideally, we need a positive result. There was a time earlier in the season when I thought we could get something from this game, but we’re currently lacking in many areas. If Stockport play to their potential, it could be quite a spectacle for them. A bit of spirit and fight would be welcome, as would avoiding self-destruction. But the most important thing is to strive for the best possible outcome.

Where are they now - Michael Doyle
OoooooTommy replied to Fan of Big Tone's topic in English Football
He might become a competent manager one day, but he’s always rushing and hasn’t dedicated enough time to learning. He’ll either be a natural or he’ll fail. I wish him the best, though succeeding at Woking is tough. -
Lewis Macari on Adapting to Notts County’s Playing Style: A New Way of Playing
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
His first goal on debut was brilliant, wasn't it? I can still remember the raw emotion. Macari is certainly one to watch!- 15 comments

While Harry Arter may not be on the same wage scale as some players, his salary would still be significant, and we managed to get him to drop to the National League. I don’t anticipate much coming from this, though. I would guess that the club inquired with Forest about their options before signing Ollie Tipton and Lewis Macari. However, circumstances can change.
-
I believe if we had signed him at the start of the season, some might have lost interest in him by now due to the time it took for him to get his opportunity. Hopefully, we can find a way to integrate him quickly into our first team and strengthen it. He does seem to be a reliable defender.

Notts County’s Luke Williams on Team Performance: ‘We Cannot Be So Scared to Play Football’
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
I’m struck by his honesty and clear-eyed evaluation of the team. He's right, we cannot cower in fear. Football is, after all, a game of courage and determination. Playing scared is clearly affecting our game build-up and resulting in too many turnovers. I believe in the team’s potential, and I hope this critique stands as a wake-up call. -
Notts County Welcomes Lewis Macari to the Family Permanently
OoooooTommy commented on PON_News's article in News
This is a noteworthy addition to our squad. Welcome, Macari! His decisive goal against Gillingham demonstrated how efficient he can be in mounting pressure situations. Well done on the permanent signing, Notts County! -
Pontypridd..threat of 141 point deduction
OoooooTommy replied to Piethagoram's topic in Domestic World Football
If they were to lose 141 points, they might as well be relegated. There’s no point in docking such a large amount from which there’s no recovery. -
Some Notts fans could grumble about anything, especially when they lack understanding of the subject. It can be perplexing, but learning about the history is fascinating.
