  1. He had to go. He confronted the Sunderland supporters on Saturday. They had just lost 3-0 away to WBA. He's not Premiership class and he's a bit nuts on top of that.
  2. It's a no brainer for me. They are better than what we have so it's vital that we keep them for as long as possible. I'd hold onto Haber as well.
  3. Shouldn't I have got 3 points this week? Peterborough won 2-1 against MK Dons and I had 2-1. Recount :-)
  4. Spurs cruised to a 3-0 win against Tromso. 2 great finishes by Defoe. He's a natural goalscorer. Swansea went to Valencia and came away with a 3-0 win. De Guzman's free kick has to be seen. Brilliant goal. Wigan secured a 0-0 draw in Belgium. Good result for them.
  5. Blackburn Rovers v Huddersfield Town 2-1 Blackpool v Leicester City 1-2 Peterborough United v MK Dons 2-1 Walsall v Rotherham United 1-0 AFC Wimbledon v Burton Albion 1-1 Torquay United v Cheltenham Town 0-1
  6. Patsman1 is in Ireland if memory serves me correctly. Welcome!
  7. Notts don't seem to have a game plan and that's very worrying. Leyton Orient can't win every game so maybe we will get something out of the game tonight. It would be a bonus. Anything less than 7 points in the 3 games after and I'd be very worried indeed.
  8. I think we are in serious trouble if we don't up the performance levels. We were poor on Saturday by all accounts. The defending has not been good enough and we are not scoring goals. The only consolation is that there are 40 games to go.....
  9. Leicester City v Wigan Athletic 2-1 Watford v Charlton Athletic 3-0 Bristol City v Peterborough United 0-1 Wolves v Swindon Town 2-0 Newport County v Morecambe 1-0 York City v Mansfield Town 1-1
  10. Leyton Orient vs Coventry. Would be a top of the table clash if Coventry hadn't been deducted 10 points.
  11. Ukraine vs England was poor. England should win both their home games and qualify, but I don't think ye'll be contenders for the World Cup. Spain, Netherlands, Argentina, Germany and Brazil are well ahead of ye at the moment. Of course that may change coming up to the tournament.
  12. Argentina, USA, Costa Rica, Netherlands and Italy booked their place in Brazil last night. Jordan will play off against the 5th place team from South America for a place in Brazil. Jordan beat Uzbekistan in a marathon penalty shoot out. Special mention goes to Luxembourg who beat Northern Ireland, it could be argued that this is not a shock, given how bad NI are.
  13. Avoid defeat and England have a foot on the plane to Brazil. Ye'll beat Poland and Montenegro at home. 2nd place means a playoff and it's pot luck so best avoided.
  14. Amazing. Pity they couldn't attach a small explosive device and drop it on that shower across the river.....I jest of course.....
  15. I'll start with my own country. Rep. Of Ireland were beaten 2-1 by Sweden at home. It all but ends our chances of qualifying for the World Cup. England are still on track. The game against Ukraine away tomorrow night is crucial. Avoiding defeat is essential as it is a 4 way battle for 1st place. Of course there's a playoff if you finish 2nd but you don't want that if you can avoid it. Mexico are in danger of missing out for the first time in my memory. They are 4th which would give them a playoff against New Zealand. Uzbekistan took a giant step towards qualification after a 1-1 draw in Jordan. Winner of the tie goes to the World Cup. A special mention for Cape Verde who went to Tunisia and won to book their place in the playoffs for a place in the World Cup. No team qualified for the World Cup over the weekend.
  16. Bradford City v Brentford 1-1 Crewe Alexandra v Peterborough United 1-2 Rotherham United v Sheffield United 2-1 Burton Albion v Oxford United 2-1 Dagenham & Redbridge v Exeter City 2-2 Plymouth Argyle v Bristol Rovers 2-1
  17. They fought long and hard. This is not the end, but the beginning. Newport are a shining example of how a Phoenix can rise from the ashes.
  18. I'm first, if you turn the table upside down!
  19. Hamza signed for Plymouth this morning. Best of luck to him.
  20. I'd imagine Burton will bring a decent following with them? I can't imagine too many Notts fans turning up. I think we'll win. We seem to like cups.....
  21. It's going to be a battle from start to finish. The Millers are no mugs. 2-1 to us I reckon. Winner coming in the last 10 minutes. JCR and Arquin.
  22. Here are the groups for Spurs, Wigan, & Swansea Group K Spurs Anji (Sold Willian and Eto to Chelsea) (Russian) Sheriff (Moldova) Tromso (Norway) Spurs will stroll through this group. Anja have sold all their best players. Tromso are only in it cause Besiktas got thrown out for match fixing. Sheriff will be tough away but cannon fodder at home. Group A Swansea Valencia Kuban (Russian) St Gallen (Swiss) Swansea have a good chance of advancing. Valencia should win the group. Kuban are a bit of an unknown quantity. They are the biggest threat to Swansea. St Gallen did beat Spartak Moscow to qualify so they could be a dark horse. Group D Wigan Rubin Kazan (Russian) Maribor (Slovenian) Zulte Waregem (Belgian) Rubin are by far the best team in the group. Wigan shouldn't fear either of the other 2. Zulte will be their biggest threat IMO. Maribor are seasoned competitors so can't be ruled out.
  23. I'm in London on the 13th and 14th, so I won't be coming back for this game. Brentford next year will be my one and only game this season I reckon.
  24. Here you go: Barnsley v Huddersfield Town 1-2 Doncaster Rovers v AFC Bournemouth 2-1 Colchester United v Leyton Orient 0-1 Oldham Athletic v Tranmere Rovers 2-1 Portsmouth v Chesterfield 1-1 Wycombe Wanderers v Southend United 1-2
