Good signing, has all the redeeming qualities needed in midfield. The club's needed a box to box midfielder for years, Palmer makes an excellent addition.

It has been awhile since we have had a player permanently who is so exciting as Cal Roberts, you can see he's a special talent and even with the injuries so far I fully expect him to be able to continue is pathway to the top. I remember seeing Matt Ritchie and feeling similar, but I do believe Roberts to have better potential.

Michael Doyle offered a new deal, whilst Tom Crawford and Regan Booty have been released? Where's the logic in that??

It's good to see him get the outcry he deserved, in his day he was such a good player.

Excellent piece on the new owners, I have been impressed by them. I think the last two owners and their families got involved too much with the fan base.
When it turns sour that will always lead to issues.
I hope the brothers can get some success out of their investment, but they do seem to have the clubs interest at heart and are prepared to wait.

I touched upon this with my thoughts on those having a meltdown over Sam Graham's injury, it's people wanting to always be right and the first one to say "I told you so". One of the main reasons why managers end up being axed because the minority seems to spread at Notts County.
Leave the man to get on with his job.

Jimmy Sirrel used to have leaders in each position, from the goal, centre back, midfield and up top. You win games by controlling the game at the back, so Notts must learn to be defensive minded.
As attacking would be more promising when they know the backs covered well.
Physical and hardworking is the way.

Both sets of fans will be thinking this game was not the best draw, but its the FA Cup.
Notts will have to earn a place in the next round for another go at the "ideal" draw. I am fairly happy about this, four pubs near to the ground and its a nice away day.

Legend! Pedro Richards will always be one of the true Notts County greats.

Well written JJ. I agree with you!

Neither could Notts in the first half but Carlisle played some entertaining football in both halfs. We was lucky yesterday! Nolan needs to drop the route one football.
-
Since Mansfield we have been terrible away from home, something has to change because Crewe on Tuesday night was not good by any level of the game.
-
1,700 Notts fans let down by the worst opening game performance I have seen for years! Unacceptable Notts.

Alan needs to work on his opinion with this, I am speechless.
-
Lets give him time and just welcome the change of direction from up top.
-
Get Dickinson signed up, that would be a good start for John Sheridan.
-
I dont believe Notts can sign proven players in this division but I could be surprised.
-
Unless Notts really have the ability to kill careers, they are playing for the status of taking to field for the oldest professional league team.

Stanley with a knee injury? Oh dear...

Its good to see the thoughts from him and how this touches upon the flooding. Its a very good response to the questions asked.
My well wishes are with the residents of carlisle. -
I have to say I am very disappointed in Liam, we all know how hard hes worked on this side of his game but he has let himself down.
-
In summary I think you make several valid points about the improvements within the Notts performance yesterday, question for me is how long can we keep it up?
Milsom should start against Carlisle in place of Noble.
It is a good read Joe.

Head Coach, Ian Burchnall "very relieved" after Notts County's 2-0 away win over Yeovil Town

I think Ian Burchnall speaks for us all, when he speaks about being relieved. Kyle Cameron's return appears to have bridged the weakness in defence but the decisions to man manage games out does need to continue.
