  1. My prediction would be 3-1. Hemmings, Stead and Evina to score. I just hope they win because it's needed right now.
  2. In recent weeks Notts have looked better when they look to keep the ball down and break by attacking into space. Creatively our best outlet on the field is Enzio Boldewijn, we need to see someone lead from the centre however. Lewis Alessandra has done brilliantly also but he tends to over do his step overs and runs, he needs to be more direct down the wing. I think Notts could win but I see a 2-2 draw. Hemmings and Milsom to get the goals.
  3. I'm looking for that first league win and a positive atmosphere tomorrow. The new signs should offer something useful at the back and I think the other departments should be more than fine now. 2-1 Notts. Dennis and Vaughan to score.
  4. I wouldn't begrudge a draw, as Kevin Nolan says we are a team in transition but it must come having defended well.
  5. Play the ball along ground and attack, don't sit back and invite the pressure by losing space created in front of them. Notts have a good chance to kick start the new season with a win over Cambridge.
  6. Good or bad draw it doesn't matter at this stage. I want Notts to have a good cup run and the income from that would help the club. I would hope that the game can be settled within the 90 minutes played on Saturday, another fixture during what is already a difficult period just wont help matters. Brentford are not a prem team, they have 11 players just like us. Why fear them?
  7. Both sets of fans will be thinking this game was not the best draw, but its the FA Cup. Notts will have to earn a place in the next round for another go at the "ideal" draw. I am fairly happy about this, four pubs near to the ground and its a nice away day.
  8. I thought the referee was terrible, he killed the flow at times and tended to favour Colchester United. The result is just wanted we needed, so for that reason I am delighted. Notts never gave up and ended up getting what they deserved. What a result!
  9. Legend! Pedro Richards will always be one of the true Notts County greats.
  10. Neither could Notts in the first half but Carlisle played some entertaining football in both halfs. We was lucky yesterday! Nolan needs to drop the route one football.
  11. Since Mansfield we have been terrible away from home, something has to change because Crewe on Tuesday night was not good by any level of the game.
  12. 1,700 Notts fans let down by the worst opening game performance I have seen for years! Unacceptable Notts.
  13. it was terrible! After Coventry first scored I could see it ending higher. I think we can consider ourselves lucky that they didn't punish us by more. I know we had chances but they was few and far between, Notts just never looked able to go.
  14. Just got to go and think positively but I will be disappointed if the back four consists of Tootle, Duffy, Hollis and Dickinson.
  15. It seems to work out like this but take the game as it comes. I would predict a draw myself.
  16. Alan needs to work on his opinion with this, I am speechless.
  17. Lets give him time and just welcome the change of direction from up top.
  18. Why do we always lose our young talent? I suppose we have been lucky enough in recent years that we have lost them due to mismanagement rather than due to finanical trouble.
  19. Get Dickinson signed up, that would be a good start for John Sheridan.
  20. I dont believe Notts can sign proven players in this division but I could be surprised.
  21. Unless Notts really have the ability to kill careers, they are playing for the status of taking to field for the oldest professional league team.
  22. I can't make it tomorrow, will I miss out? I doubt it. Cooper says we can't defend, now Noble. Mystery at Meadow Lane is now solved but the woeful performances will continue. Mark Cooper has a few games to try and sort it, otherwise the senior squad might aswell go on holiday now.
  23. Stanley with a knee injury? Oh dear...
