  1. I think it's a decent effort! It's definitely better than that plain orange shirt from the other season. That one wasnโ€™t the best design and didnโ€™t have much about it. Iโ€™m happy with green shirts, to be honest. It feels very Nottinghamshire, and Iโ€™ll be keeping an eye out to grab one in my size once theyโ€™re available. From what Iโ€™ve seen, most fans seem to like it. There havenโ€™t been many negative comments, which is always a good sign. Sure, it wonโ€™t be to everyoneโ€™s taste, but I reckon itโ€™s a strong shirt overall.
  2. Seeing the gafferโ€™s recent status got me thinking about songs that really mean something to me, and thatโ€™s what this discussion is all about. We might all be Notts fans, but I bet there are a few shared tastes too. Are there songs that stand out for you? Maybe they take you back to a certain time, remind you of your childhood, or just say something about who you are. Is there a song that always stays with you no matter what? One that links to a memory or a moment in your life? Has its meaning changed over the years? So what songs send you down memory lane? Donโ€™t worry about being different or a bit sentimental, this is all about sharing and connecting. I think itโ€™s fascinating what music means to people.
  3. Just because Notts are rumoured to be interested doesnโ€™t mean itโ€™s true, and even if they were, thereโ€™s no guarantee the player would pick us over other clubs. Some of the reaction online has been a bit much, with people tweeting the club after heโ€™d already moved. We canโ€™t expect to match every offer, and even if the league heโ€™s gone to isnโ€™t the strongest, weโ€™re still four divisions below the top. Itโ€™s a good move for Sylvester Jasper. He seemed like a decent player, but some people were going on about stats from Wikipedia, forgetting he didnโ€™t exactly shine at Colchester and has been playing abroad, like that proves anything.
  4. I didnโ€™t go to the match, but I tried to follow it on X, though in the end I mostly relied on Google alerts. Itโ€™s just nice to see the squad back in action. Not letting in any goals and using two full elevens is a real plus. The games in Germany will be more of a challenge, but I hope the players enjoy the experience without putting too much pressure on themselves.
  5. Hello, welcome to Pride of Nottingham @James Macdonald! It's nice to be saying hello to you. See you around the community.
  6. Hello, @Peter Thornley. Welcome to Pride of Nottingham! It's nice to be saying hello to you. See you around the community.
  7. Hello, @Daisy-Mae. Welcome to Pride of Nottingham! It's nice to be saying hello to you. See you around the community.
  8. Weโ€™ve got to be patient, thereโ€™s no point in rushing to bring in new players. The recruitment team needs time to make sure each signing truly adds something to the squad. Like everyone else, I was disappointed to see Alex Bass go to Peterborough. But if the money helps us bring in real quality, it could be what takes us that extra step forward. @TheSkipper, 'cash is king, and quality must be queen.' ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป I really enjoy the way allardyces tash writes. His comments are good, but his blogs are full of wit and humour, a great way to lift the mood. They help soften the blow and offer a fresh view on things. Top work, AT.
  9. Everyone does a great job in making PON the lively place we all enjoy. Iโ€™m really pleased with how the upgrade turned out. I was one of the fans who mentioned the missing create button, and I was so happy to see it return. It shouldnโ€™t have gone in the first place, but I get that it was out of the gafferโ€™s control. Itโ€™s a brilliant feature, and Iโ€™ll be using it loads to start new topics. Thanks to everyone who donates and supports the site. The gaffer puts in so much work, and I know he values all the time, posts, visits and everything else that keeps it going. Thanks also to @Michael D Pie.. You all do an amazing job, and itโ€™s great to see such strong support.
  10. I always thought Kasper came in on a free transfer. I remember reading that he signed for a million, but over time I started to think that mightโ€™ve been a lie from Munto. Back then, clubs could probably get away with saying they paid a fee without much proof. @TheSkipper, if you ever feel like looking into it, I think itโ€™d be a good read. I understand why you might want to steer clear of Munto stuff though, it has been covered a lot.
  11. Iโ€™ve always respected Stuart Maynard. Even when things were a bit iffy, I never doubted his dedication to Notts. It was good to hear his words again. He might feel a bit hard done by, and I wouldnโ€™t blame him. But the way he focused on the positives shows real class. I wish him all the best in his management journey. I actually thought he mightโ€™ve gone back to Wealdstone.
  12. Rest in peace to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva. Itโ€™s heart-breaking to hear about their deaths.
  13. Sorry to welcome you so late, @MejustMike. I hope you like and enjoy PON. We are a community that is always growing and there's plenty of value by browsing around and joining in.
  14. @BridgyPie, it great to see you joining in and having your say. I can't encourage you enough to continue, because you should find we can have sensible discussions and so many fantastic posts to read. Welcome to PON! Your story could make a great piece on the gaffers fan features, he's done a few in the past and yours sounds like one which would be excellent to include.
  15. Hello, @MikeWood. Welcome to PON! Not sure how we did not notice you sooner, but there has been a lot of work as of late with the site and a recent upgrade. I hope you enjoy the community we have here.
  16. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham community and forum, we glad to see you join in @Ash.
  17. Foolโ€™s gold and dodgy bankerโ€™s drafts, it was all a bit of a dream that lasted one season before everything went wrong. In one way, itโ€™s a real shame how it turned out, but in another, we were lucky to have had that time at all. Our years in League One had their ups and downs, but Iโ€™m still glad we got to see that team with Lee Hughes, Neal Bishop, Ricky Ravenhill and the rest. It gave us memories to hold onto.
  18. He came across really well and said all the right things. Iโ€™ll fully support him because I want the club to do well. I liked that he spoke about helping players improve and focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. Thatโ€™s an encouraging approach. It reminded me of something Sam Slocombe mentioned before, about not being comfortable with the ball at his feet. That might have been overlooked in the past. If the players concentrate on what theyโ€™re good at, it should help performances come more naturally. It was a good interview and I think most fans will be pleased with what he said.
  19. I wouldn't mind seeing Archie Mair back. He never looked the most confident in goal, but there was clear potential there. Itโ€™s been a few seasons since he was with us, and our defence has come on a lot since then. I do think thereโ€™s something in going for someone more experienced. At 24, you'd expect Mair to have played more games by now. That lack of match time is a bit of a concern. Maybe we should be looking for a keeper who's had regular first team action, but also knows what itโ€™s like to be a backup. That balance could suit us well.
  20. Neither of those pictures look edited or AI-made to me. The one shared by Wales Online clearly shows itโ€™s Luke Williams. I get that bald blokes can sometimes look alike, but that really does look like Williams. You can tell by the way he holds himself. Itโ€™s good to see heโ€™s not just sitting back and relying on his Swansea City payout. Still, I really hope he gets back into coaching rather than settling into a job at the airport. Heโ€™s got too much to offer the game.
  21. Forget the heatwave, Nottinghamโ€™s got Danish fever! Everyoneโ€™s talking about it. I donโ€™t speak the language, so Iโ€™ll leave my thoughts here and step back for now.
  22. This topic has ran it's course, so I am locking it. ๐Ÿ‘
  23. It was great when Notts had former players working around the club. It made things feel more connected, and brought a sense of unity that fans really appreciated. I think the club could make more of the ambassador roles, especially with things like the stadium tours that Les Bradd leads. Thereโ€™s a real chance to bring fans closer to the clubโ€™s history through those experiences. Of course, thereโ€™s a cost to it, but tapping into that sense of nostalgia might actually benefit the club. It could help with events or simply boost the atmosphere on matchdays. If Neil Warnock were to return in some sort of advisory role, I think it could really help whoever ends up becoming the next head coach.
  24. Happy Birthday, @Fan of Big Tone! ๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ Sorry, I couldn't get @super_ram to dress up and give you your cake. You will have to settle for Superman instead of 'Super Ram'. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜‚
  25. There are better and worse options than Luke Williams, but we know he can inspire the squad and get the best out of them. I donโ€™t think we were ever going to get promoted in our first season, and I donโ€™t mind that he left or how it happened. It was the worst timing for us, but it made sense for him. I just donโ€™t think success can be repeated when so much has changed, and he struggles with defending. Still, Iโ€™d be more than happy to see him return, I just donโ€™t see it happening.
