I thought Martin Paterson was a bit harsh saying we’ve played better than we did against Fleetwood. For me, that was our best home performance so far. We created chances, defended well, and looked solid for the full 90. Fleetwood came organised and tried to frustrate us, but we dealt with it and showed more spirit than earlier in the season. The clean sheet was deserved, and Paterson’s changes made a difference. It didn’t feel like an ugly win, more a sign the squad is settling and improving. That’s progress, so I’m not sure why it sounded like he was downplaying it to please the fans.

Alassana Jatta could’ve gone for goal himself, but choosing to pass to Matthew Dennis showed real team spirit. It was a selfless move that speaks volumes about his attitude and how much he cares about the club and his team-mates.
Tom Iorpenda had a strong game going forward. He found space well and helped drive the attack. The team put in a solid shift overall, even though the scoreline was tight. Both sides had chances, and while it wasn’t the most polished match, Notts handled it well and got the job done.
It’s frustrating how some fans only seem to focus on the negatives. There’s no balance in their views, just fault-finding and moaning. The players deserve credit for their effort and the way they managed the game.

I’m not fully convinced Martin Paterson believes no players will leave. We have to deal with what happens, and he’s right to say we shouldn’t get ahead of ourselves. If he can guide the team to more steady performances, we should be fine. That would give us a chance to move up the table.
A slow start isn’t always a bad thing if it leads to better form later, but we need to take each match as it comes. Paterson’s interviews are fine, but his long answers sometimes mean fewer questions get asked. It would be good to hear more variety in what’s covered.

A solid result in the end, though the defending was shaky at times. We looked brightest in the first half, but the goal came from what looked like a clear push on Tom Iorpenda. That moment unsettled us, and we didn’t deal with it well. Credit to the team for improving after the break.
It was good to see Alassana Jatta back in the starting line-up. Hopefully the injury is behind him now and he can build some momentum. He adds something different up front and looks keen to make an impact.
He and Matthew Dennis seem to work well together. They’ve both got pace, which defenders don’t enjoy facing. If they keep linking up, they could become a real threat.

I liked how Ollie answered the questions. He came across really well and seems like one of the most interesting players I’ve heard speak. He’s thoughtful and honest, which makes him stand out. The video on the official site is a great look into who he is. As a press conference before the Tranmere match, it gives fans something to think about and shows a bit more of his personality.
Since coming back from injury, he hasn’t looked too bad at all. You can tell he’s working his way back to full fitness and starting to get up to speed again.

Jacob Bedeau and Matty Platt are clearly in the mix for team selection, but I thought Sonny Aljofree was the standout. Platt made some key tackles, and while his yellow card came from a poor challenge, he did his job. Bedeau looked off at times and a bit clumsy. He can be brilliant, or he can be shaky and yesterday he was shaky. Defensively, we let Salford take control even though we had the ball. The midfield needs to pick it up and show more urgency going forward. We weren’t sharp when it came to countering, and I hope Martin Paterson sees that we need to bring more energy.

I want Jodi to enjoy his football, because that’s when he plays at his best. Moving further up the pitch is almost like reinventing himself at Notts again. He came here and made a massive difference.
His ability out wide has been a joy to watch. There’s always that risk he could be clattered, which might lead to a long injury. He won’t want to miss football, but I’m sure he’ll still get assists. He’ll probably be in a position where he could score as well.
I’m looking forward to watching tomorrow’s game.

I thought we were really unlucky to go behind. We were clearly the better side, and Notts just needed to be a bit sharper with the final ball. On another day, a couple of those chances would’ve gone in. I would’ve liked to see a bit more fight in the second half, but I get it, going 1-0 down like that can knock the wind out of you. It’s hard to keep confidence up after that.

I think the club is being careful with the budget so we can strengthen properly in January. It’s like building up a bit of a war chest, ready to fix any problems later on without affecting the start of the season. The loan deals seem smart, and it looks like we’re paying part of the players’ wages, which might use up some of the wage budget. I reckon the reason we haven’t spent money on signings yet is because we’re saving it for a proper go in January. This new lad sounds like a real talent, and having more depth in midfield is a good thing, as long as players get minutes and there’s some rotation.

He speaks honestly, and I like that. He seems to want some control over the questions he answers, which makes sense. It can be annoying when the media keep asking about promotion. If he thinks the squad is capable, he’s unlikely to say no.
No manager would want to deny their team. But his focus on performances shows he believes the players can do well. We’re capable of putting in good displays. Results might not always go our way, but if we work hard and defend properly, the good results should follow.

He came across really well and said all the right things. I’ll fully support him because I want the club to do well. I liked that he spoke about helping players improve and focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. That’s an encouraging approach.
It reminded me of something Sam Slocombe mentioned before, about not being comfortable with the ball at his feet. That might have been overlooked in the past. If the players concentrate on what they’re good at, it should help performances come more naturally.
It was a good interview and I think most fans will be pleased with what he said.

It will be good to see how he gets on. A young player gaining experience in senior football always brings hope that they will adapt and make an impact.
A loan carries less risk, but he seems like someone who could strengthen the team. His ability to play in different roles will give him chances across the pitch. If he can be reliable in more than one position, even better. As long as he puts in the effort, I’m sure he’ll prove useful.

I wish we would see him in the starting line-up more often. He's a good player and establishing himself as a regular starter would be beneficial. He has always looked very capable. Sometimes, you want him to take on his man more directly, but I believe he and Jodi Jones could form a great partnership out wide. His first goal was long overdue, and I'm pleased he has now scored.

It's the result we needed to maintain our form. Yes, a late goal for Gillingham, but it's a spirited performance by a team who is delivering right now. Nick Tsaroulla finding the net is just perfect. I am pleased for him because he always works hard to make an impact. We should take this as a stepping stone towards greater success, ensuring we carry this momentum forward into our next matches. Each player's dedication is truly inspiring.

Good report of the game. I feel proud of the players and I would have stayed to clap them off the pitch had I been there. They deserved it for the performance they gave and despite conceding goals, I don't think it's something we need to pay too much attention to because we matched them in terms of scoring.
-
I would like to think we are a lot more settled in defence and can make Peterborough United work hard to get anything from the game, yes they are a good team but on cup day we are equal to them. The winners will be whoever wants it more, or who plays the best defensively. I am sure Stuart Maynard will have the team well drilled and prepared for the match. We have a good following, so I am sure that will help us get into things.

It's not a bad result. I don't like how some people are suggesting that Doncaster were much better than Notts; I don't think that was true. They created some good chances, but we played much better football overall. We controlled most of the game, while they mainly relied on counter-attacks. When the game went their way, it showed they are a decent team. I don’t believe we need to question every decision Stuart Maynard makes; we should have more faith in the players and the process. A point earned, but there's no need to be negative about it.

Everything will be fine with Jatta representing his country! It's a big opportunity and could be life-changing for him. Come the new year, I believe he’ll celebrate his first full season with a hat trick, and he will thank us fans and the club for giving him the chance to grow. He’s excellent, very skilled with his feet and just as good in the air. He’d be a major threat from corners if we played more direct balls. Go on, Jatta, you’ll make us proud. Good luck!

Good result, I feel. I think Notts needed a second goal to see it out, and I think we tried to do that. Some fans kept calling for changes, but why risk Dan Crowley and still draw? There were not a lot of options to change things, and I think if David McGoldrick had been fit enough for selection, this game would have been something where he would have made a huge difference. The 70th minute mark was crying out for someone like him in the team, although I thought Jevani Brown did well. Unfortunately, I have no idea how he got a yellow for controlling the ball when a foul had been made on him.
-
He just needed the minutes and a chance to settle in. When we signed him, I would have put him in my starting eleven, especially after Aaron Nemane left. He has done well so far, but if he's more comfortable on the right, we should play him there while Jodi Jones is out. We can put Kellan Gordon on the left and mix things up if needed, but I hope Michael Tsaroulla keeps improving.
-
David McGoldrick has saved us many points this season. His moments of brilliance have led to numerous wins and draws, and the penalties he has converted have kept us at the right end of the League Two table. I believe he is proving to be more important this season than last, as he is showing some great form.
-
We need to start getting the right results at home; the pressure should be on the visiting teams. Given how lush the Meadow Lane pitch is, we take great pride when we step onto the field. Our performances will improve, but for now, we must keep our form and make the most of the points we can earn. Stuart Maynard is doing very well, so I trust he will be ready for Saturday.
-
Performances may vary, but as long as we stay focused and try to improve, that’s good enough for me. I believe we could use a boost in confidence; we seem to be going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment. However, it’s always encouraging when we start to find our rhythm in matches. We might have been fortunate with the penalty decision, but we definitely deserved the point.
Jacob Bedeau Praises Team Effort After Notts County Secure First Clean Sheet of the Season
in News
Jacob Bedeau looks to be getting back to his best, he's been a bit inconsistent and at times poor, especially on the ball and going forward. Defensively, he always tends to be solid, and the way he tracked the Fleetwood player for their one-on-one with Kelle Roos did put pressure on the player when it came to finishing.
We need Bedeau to be at his best, because he's a great player at this level, and I am sure he will continue to improve.
