  1. I hope Will Randall proves to be one of, if not the best signing of the upcoming season. However, I do hope we bring in more quality players as we need them. This is a good first signing, I feel.
  2. Joel Taylor is our loss but Chester’s gain. It still pains me that we signed him for a fee but let him go for nothing. It’s not good business, and I feel we should have tried to keep him.
  3. Ricardo Moniz will probably resurface in Austria or somewhere similar. I wish him well, but I do wonder when he’ll decide enough is enough.
  4. It's good to see you have returned, @Nocturnal-Magpie.
  5. Welcome @Lydia, it's good to see another new PON member.
  6. Jake Reeves was a great player for Notts, way above the National League standard. I wish him all the best as he moves back to Wimbledon.
  7. Sam Slocombe is a goalkeeper who always makes me feel confident. Yes, he has his moments like every keeper does, but no one at this level is as polished or in their prime like Sam is. If Wrexham signs Ben Foster, he’s past his best and on the decline. We should be grateful to have a hero like Sam in our squad!
  8. Hello and welcome to the PON forum, @BlackandWhitePie. It's great to see that you have 7 posts as of this already.
  9. What a season for Langstaff, he’s been phenomenal. He’s broken records and he’s been a key player for us. He deserves every accolade he’s getting and more. He’s a real Magpie and I’m so happy for him.
  10. It’s unfortunate to see Ollie King leaving. He’s done well and I hope he finds a place where he can settle in and stay for as long as he wants.
  11. I hope you enjoy every moment with your beautiful baby boy. Congratulations!
  12. Jodi Jones is a sensational player who can turn the game around with his skill and vision. He’s got a lot of flair and intelligence and he can score some stunning goals. He was one of the most exciting players in the league during his loan spell and I’m overjoyed that he’s signed for Notts County permanently.
  13. Jodi Jones is a brilliant addition to our squad. He’s got everything you want from a modern winger: speed, flair, creativity and end product. He impressed me a lot during his loan spell and I’m sure he’ll continue to do so. He’s a bargain at this price and a great investment for the future
  14. The reactions of both Charlie Slater and Mark Stallard are so relatable to us fans. It’s exactly what we want to see from people who are passionate about the club.
  15. Top-flight clubs have taken notice of Macaulay Langstaff’s outstanding performances. It would be a tremendous advantage for us to retain him for our first season.
  16. I thought it would be helpful to summarise the article to make it easier to understand. The club is proud of their achievement at Wembley on Saturday. Commiserations are offered to Chesterfield and thanks for their gracious messages of congratulations. The team displayed mental and physical fortitude in the play-off campaign. The players lifted the trophy in front of 22,500 supporters. Jason Turner’s flag was on display and his photo was held by the players on the pitch. The boardroom will be renamed in Jason Turner’s honour from the start of the 2023-24 campaign. The club has made progress off the field, with attendances at their highest in recent history. Season ticket sales have been strong and are expected to receive the highest uptake of their tenure so far. Renovations on the Meadow Lane playing surface are underway and a new state-of-the-art PA system is being installed. The club is going through the necessary processes to determine which players will still be with them when the new campaign comes around. Planning for life in League Two had begun long before promotion was secured. Several key figures from this season’s squad are out of contract but efforts are being made to maintain a strong nucleus of a side that has achieved so much. Promotion strengthens the club’s position in the transfer market and consolidates other areas of the club, including their academy which will benefit from a significant increase in funding. While it all seems very positive, reading between the lines regarding players out of contract suggests that some may end up on the released list due to rejecting offers. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s the impression I get. The majority of these players are important in my opinion.
  17. Many happy returns, Chris! I hope you enjoyed your birthday.
  18. I hope that Notts can do a Luton or even replicate what Neil Warnock did for Notts when he joined as manager.
  19. I truly hope that Ross Fitzsimons can turn his game around and improve. He has shown potential in the past and it would be great to see him reach it.
  20. It’s interesting to hear Williams’ thoughts on Wrexham and Stockport. It’s clear that he has a lot of respect for these teams and their performances in the National League and League Two.
  21. After four years, Notts County Football Club has achieved a good outcome. This could have been vastly different if not for the efforts of the club's owners and employees. The Reedtz brothers have invested wisely in hiring a proper coaching setup and making two managerial appointments, which has helped to steady the foundations of the club. Another huge benefit has been the recruitment policy. I have enjoyed watching the football played in the National League and the club has been successful in every season.
  22. The creativity and thoughtfulness that went into writing the note to their dad is truly heartwarming.
  23. There is no greater feeling than achieving a victory like that, especially after being 2-0 down and enduring the gloating of their players. Listening to their fans sing chants that, in retrospect, make them look foolish - yes, everyone does it, but they only did it while they were winning. Boreham Wood supporters could learn from us and sing more consistently throughout the entire 90 minutes.
  24. Compared to the standards of this year, the first half was quite dreadful and, at times, downright awful. However, when considering all the dreadful squads that Notts has had over the years, it wasn't that terrible. If Woking had scored, we might have had grounds for complaints, but the game was rather evenly matched. It's challenging to find fault with a 3-0 home victory, a clean sheet, and a satisfactory overall performance.
