  1. As a kid, you dream of playing in the FA Cup and scoring on your debut. To do both is truly impressive. I’m not worried about things getting to him. I’m sure there are plenty of people around who will keep him grounded and working hard. For him to break into our team, he still has a lot to do. Who would he push out of the team? Nobody right now, but hopefully in the future, he can compete more closely. His goal is to be good enough to be named on the bench. That’s where he’ll gain experience coming on as a sub.

  2. The player seems like someone Notts might be interested in, but it all depends on the reliability of the original source. I usually don’t pay much attention to rumours, not even those shared by Tom. It’s always best to wait and see what unfolds. It would be intriguing to see if any reports on this matter emerge.

  3. I don’t believe that safe standing should automatically lead to cheaper tickets, although it’s a good concept. A slight reduction in price seems fair, but removing 100-200 seats for fans who will pay less doesn’t make financial sense. What does make sense, however, is the enhancement of the atmosphere and camaraderie that safe standing brings.

  4. Lewis Macari appears to be a promising talent, but rushing to sign him after only a few appearances seems hasty. I’m not suggesting we shouldn’t consider it, as that would be equally short-sighted. It would be prudent to observe his performance over time. Statistics can be manipulated to fit a narrative, and they only tell half the story of what makes the current Notts team successful.

  5. The long-awaited relief from match day stress is welcome. I hope the club continues to prioritise improvements like this, as it could significantly boost revenue. With recent transformations at The Embankment and Trent Navi, it would be beneficial to encourage spending at Notts instead of these venues. I tend to avoid the Meadow Lane Sports Bar due to its high prices and limited seating. I usually head straight into the ground, and once I turn 18, I’ll likely frequent the bar behind the KOP.

  6. People are being daft towards Ruben Rodrigues. He clearly didn’t mean it the way it’s been twisted, and much of it continues to be taken out of context. We need to remember that he’s just a footballer and isn’t used to our media. I think it’s just an innocent comment made in the heat of the moment, just like Luke Williams says. Stop worrying and just enjoy Notts, and please be nice to people.

  7. It’s quite shocking that Luke Williams was questioned about this in a press conference before the weekend’s match. East Midlands Today seemed to show him training with the team on their news segment, so it’s hard to understand why some fans still think there’s more to the story. I doubt he would have gone to Oxford and back without hinting at it in his interviews. I thought he would stay at Notts, as the stories and rumours seemed quite dodgy. I don’t believe our owners would want a manager who went for an interview elsewhere. It’s been taken out of context from what Ruben Rodrigues said and because we’re doing well. He will be linked, but it’s nothing more than that.

  8. I get that he didn’t want to carry on after having stuff thrown at him. But the way it’s being shown, it’s as if he was physically hit. In reality, it was just objects, which isn’t right, but this kind of behaviour might be usual. I reckon his choice to make a fuss and hold up the game was just him playing the victim. He should have been professional, letting the stewards and police do their work while he did his. Not doing his job is a bit daft, especially as there’s no photos or videos showing any real harm to him.

  9. What a fantastic acquisition! This appears to be an excellent signing, was the concern necessary? If this works out, we’ll be in a good position. I’m absolutely thrilled with the signing. Despite being 33, he brings a wealth of experience and with his role further up, he should be similar to when we signed John Bostock last season. To some extent, even David McGoldrick. It’s a valuable addition, even if it’s just for a month.
