  1. well done to sam austin for acknowledging the fans and trying to put across that the players are trying and appreciate the support, its a step back to the unity we had at the start of the season. just like his words though, tomorrow is all about getting the result we need and most fans will appreciate his comments but others will want it to be expressed on the field. austin is a very good player, he deserves my support.

  2. you can see the pressure building when you see his face, the team have to turn the season around and give him time because its them who are letting us all down not stuart maynard. given the chance i firmly believe he can turn around and whilst i drove to bradford only for it to be called off very close to the game. i think the time could aid us better having spent it training. bradfords pitch seemed no better the other day when they played on it.

  3. i think scott robertson is settling into the role and personally i think hes a decent player, once he has been around our camp long enough i am sure we will see more from him but i also have to point out how honest he is about himself. he knows there is room for improvement, hes focused as a team and all these things are good to see in a player of his age.

I won £1,000 in it's first year....hardly anything since... a mini portable black and white tv...and one 50/50 draw

i bet over the years you have put much more than you have won in it, and i think that is amazing from fans who support the life line scheme. its something i wished i could get involved with but the spaces are never their and its restricted to a set amount if i am correct.

  5. i like that stuart maynard is not underestimating crewe, but even if they do mix their playing style within the game it shows how important our own game management can be. if we cant adapt well, we will lose the ground that we have created and most of it is all about pressure and creating chances. we have a very good squad, even if our budget is not in the top 10 of league two. we have to be smart when making decisions in game.

im very much looking forward to seeing notts on saturday at meadow lane.

  6. well you would want players like mentioned in this discussion, over loans which never seemed to be given the chance i.e ollie tipton. we have no idea if he could have been a useful signing but because he did not play much and with luke williams never seeming to give him a chance it makes it rather a pointless signing.

i think loans should only be explored in areas where signing a permanent player might not give us further strength in that position. i would rather see a good loan signing be made, than for the club to sign someone who clearly sits on the bench or out of the match day squad completely.

  7. i am pleased for stuart maynard, i feel certain that this will be the boost all needed. its been awhile since we last won away from home and that probably crept in at our home games with everything else going on. macaulay langstaff was great, getting him more involved will lead to chances. very happy to see how we have responded after the Gillingham defeat.

  8. some managers come into a club that is doing well and quickly want to change everything the previous manager did and i think its great to see that stuart maynard acknowledges that he does not have so much to do but take the reigns and slowly bring in what needs to be done. if he can improve the defence, then we should be able to start signing eieieieio :D

  9. baj was looking good prior to his injury, i thought he looked like he could make the centre back position his own and then the injury happened. i did not think cedwyn scotts injury looked that bad initially but i am glad both players are recovering well. i think cedwyn scott and matt palmer were very two players we have missed.

  10. i think it was @Piethagoram who shared the video of jaden warners debut. it was a very good performance from him and i am a little surprised they are not going to back him by allowing him to play more in their own first team. i mean i get not rushing things but that debut gave him something to build on from for them. its really our gain, i just hope he plays and does well for us.

  11. its pleasing and i hope we can now just focus on a achieving the best position that is possible. stuart maynard sounds like a decent appointment and for a club of our size, it's nice to avoid the trap of hiring someone that has the reputation but maybe not heart for a lower tier team. i think maynard will repay our decision to give him a chance at this level.

  12. this signing was a masterstroke and he very much fired us to the football league, with such a talented squad behind him but without his goals some of the games may have been different. i was not sure we would be able to replace kyle wootton, i felt very disappointed he left but macaulay langstaff and cedwyn scott have been such a breath of fresh air. i do hope to see them partner each other on the field a lot more once cedwyn is injury free.

  13. it took some time for him to feature, i like that luke williams wanted to bring him up to speed but now hes ours. we have all the more reason to be playing him, its the way he will improve and be able to contribute more towards notts. i think its a good signing and once he's back available, i hope to see him in the starting lineup. hopefully, he will score a few more goals before the season ends but his debut goal was a screamer!
