  1. Glad he's gone. He is a very limited player. He's not brave enough with the ball, always passing back. Throws in the odd tackle but nowhere near enough to be regarded as a battling tough presence in midfield. At left back he may have looked comfortable, but he never really got forward enough and helped out the winger.
  2. Glad that Hewitt and Milsom have been binned off. Two woeful footballers Stead is too old and needed to move on Wouldn't be surprised if O'Brien has activated his relegation clause.
  3. https://mobile.twitter.com/ftbl_tom/status/1128723612389842944 First ground: Meadow Lane Last ground: County Ground Best ground: Wembley Worst ground: Whaddon Road
  4. Kane Hemmings if I had to choose one
  5. AFC Fylde Barnet Barrow Boreham Wood Bromley Chesterfield Chorley Dagenham & Redbridge Dover Athletic Eastleigh Ebbsfleet United FC Halifax Town Gateshead Harrogate Town Hartlepool United Maidenhead United Notts County Solihull Moors Stockport County Sutton United Torquay United Woking Wrexham Yeovil Town Going to be an experience next season
  6. Squad unity is a key thing. It's one of the reasons why Orient went up. Same with Lincoln and Macc before them. Need goalscorers and a bit of physicality as well. Need to be intelligent with the ball when going forward. Experience mixed with young players or players in prime age (25,26,27). Orient had youngsters like Josh Koroma, Dan Happe, Jordan Maguire-Drew and Myles Judd. They had experience in the mould of Craig Clay, Dean Brill, Charlie Lee and Josh Coulson. A goalscorer in Macauley Bonne. Lincoln had Sean Raggett and Alex Woodyard. Experience in Matt Rhead, Nathan Arnold, Luke Waterfall and Alan Power We can't be defensive dot com either. Don't sit back and take a point for 46 games. No Need a team with goals in it. This will take a while. A lot of issues with the club. Need a scouting system, money spent wisely and intelligently, a proper youth system, due diligence done on managers and not just rush into an appointment without thought. Also need a training ground but that needs to be done over time.
  7. GK - Experienced. Decent shot stopper and someone able to command his box RB - Has pace and gets forward to support his man. Michael Harriman? Was linked with us in Jan but don't think he would drop 2 leagues. Tony McMahon who was also linked to us in Jan. CB - A commanding centre-half who headers everything away. Not afraid for a battle but can actually defend. Chris Robertson, Peter Clarke, David Stephens. Charlie Raglan has been released by Oxford. Been saying to sign him for ages. LB - Can get forward and someone who an actually defend unlike DJ. Johnny Hunt and Joe Martin both been released by Stevenage. Hunt played at National League level before with Chester CM - Someone who can battle and win the ball back. Who is not afraid of a fight and can link the defence and attack. Need height as well. Liam Nolan is experienced at non-league level. 6'3, good on the ball as well. Won promotion with Accy in 2018. Emmanuel Osadebe just been released by Cambridge. Tall, quick and can play deeper or further forward. James Dunne released by Swindon. Marcus Bean as well by Wycombe. Dan Gardner would be a brilliant signing. Oldham released him W - Jordan Williams has been released by Rochdale. 16 goals for Barrow in National League from the wing from Early 2016 to 17. Sam Barratt did well at Maidenhead. Didn't break into the Southend team last season. Can play CAM as well. ST - Need a big man up front who can actually hold the ball up. Inih Effiong from Dover. 6'3, decent goal record. Already mentioned Richie Bennett in a previous topic. Other strikers to look for include Alfie Rutherford who scored 13 for Havant & Waterlooville last season despite them finishing 23rd. Matty Stevens is on the transfer list at Posh. Scored goals at Kettering and Slough on loan. Could be one to watch. Marc Richards and Stuart Beavon are experienced options we can look at up front.
  8. Players under contract GK - Fitzsimons RB - Tootle, Oxlade-Chamberlain CB - Bird LB - Dunn CM - Rose, O'Brien, Doyle, Patching, Crawford, Kellett RM - Boldewijn ST - Hemmings, Dennis Out of contract CB - Duffy, Brisley, Ward LB - Jones, Evina, Milsom CM - Husin, Vaughan, Hewitt LM - Alessandra ST - Stead I couldn't find if Campbell, Etete, Howes, Culverwell and Osborne were under contract If these players are set to go, who would you think about replacing them with. We need a lot as I think we will get rid of quite a few. As previously discussed in this topic, the players we wanted to keep and let go. Who would you want to fill them positions?
  9. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/fresh-consortium-working-overtake-south-2846759 Rumoured a few weeks ago. Now in the race to takeover Notts
  10. I tend to read ExAgent's Twitter as he did get quite a bit right last season. Would definitely take Bennett. Can still do a job in League 2 nevermind non league. Scored a decent amount for Barrow a few years ago
  11. Schofield 6 - Made some crucial saves but once we it went to 1-1, he had no chance as it turned into Gillingham part 2 Rose 6 - Got forward ok but he just isn't a right-back Stubbs 5 - Was solid in the first half when we had to go to two at the back. That header though. Got overwhelmed when things turned Bird 6 - Will becoming a better player with time. Start next season Brisley 4 - Was doing ok till he got injured. Thanks for all the times you booted it out of play and for slide tackling a shot against Macclesfield. You will be missed Milsom 2 - Just go. Just go O'Brien 6 - The usual burst of energy and worked hard but was in vain Doyle 4 - Not great with his passing, gave away the ball constantly in the first half Vaughan 5 - Best part of his spell at Notts was the opening 45. When did we sign that Vaughan? Shame he disappeared like his hairline in the second half Hemmings 6 - Scored the penalty. Got into some alright positions. Thanks for your goals Kane Mackail-Smith 8 - Left everything out there and won the penalty. Constantly chasing down lost causes Subs Boldewijn 5 - Started ok but faded as things turned, He's got ability but if an offer comes in for him over 100k, get rid Stead 3 - Happy holidays Jon. Enjoy the beach Ardley 5 - Solid in defence first half but crumbled second. Said at half time, the only way we were going to score was a penalty. He cares but Darrell Clarke is waiting
