  1. Let's have a punt on what colour it will be, @erindoors will have already had this sorted - as she once mentioned either on our FB page or within our community. But I would like to see what folks here think. What colour would you prefer and what colour do you think it will be? I wouldn't mind a light blue or navy shirt for the away colours this upcoming season, we have had a rainbow of shirts in recent years and I actually liked them all. The pink one was a nice way to salute our Italian friends. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see it's return either. What about you?
  2. Do you think Pilks will be relied upon as our No.2 Keeper this upcoming season? Do you think he could still cut it within League Two? Would you like to see the club sign an young upcoming keeper or a steady reliable backup? Let's discuss this and see your thoughts on PON to these questions.
  3. Hi Folks, I am in the process of updating and tinkering with certain parts of the site, nothing major but it's something which requires being done. This includes overhauling pages and updating them, now within the new season I hope to find help with the league table for example. It's edited manually, so having a couple of members open to assisting me would be appreciated. Can I ask all appointed moderators of our community sections to please keep chipping in with fresh topics, replying and generating interest within the forums that they manage. @tonyhateley, @hissingdwarf, @liampie, @Canadian, @PTID1862, @Blackville, @ivansneck and @super_ram. It's brilliant to see the community spirit of the site, especially with so many fans in the past few recent days adding their thoughts to discussions. It certainly goes along way and it is greatly appreciated. Don't be put off from starting a discussion, blog or creating gallery! We would love to see more of this. Writers Myself and @Joe Jones are seeking regular contributors but also people to write one off pieces, this is a very important part and I would like to ask all our members to please consider this. If you're an inspiring writer, we can help you get noticed and likewise if you are a fan wanting to express your views or concerns, please do get in touch. We as a Fan Site operate on the views shared by ourselves and we would welcome additional input on whatever basis you can provide. Please enquire via media@prideofnottingham.co.uk Video section We have a video section which members can share links to YouTube and various other video streaming sites. I am keen to see the creative community share their own videos but also finds from the sites which they feel will benefit the Pride of Nottingham community. It's very simple to use, you just find a video and then add the share link to the system - provide the details such as the name and then the video will be seen by more fans. Within season this is a busy area of traffic for us, especially with @Cobby and myself work relating to fan inputs. Thanks for your time, please do leave a comment below.

  5. So, when I first logged in online the first thing which greeted me was Facebook informing me of another pre-season friendly. I thought it may be an home tie, however no, it's not. It's a tie with our former link-up side Arnold Town - where Notts had been using as a training base for both the first team and youth team. I don't think it's a good idea, some of their players took the game way too seriously and of course it's where Jimmy became injured. What do you folks think? Good idea? One off? Discuss...
  6. Hi all and welcome to the fifth episode of Pride of Nottingham’s PONcast. In today’s instalment we begin by discussing Notts County’s first new signing of the close season – Exeter City captain Scot Bennett. Is he the right fit for the Magpies? The PONcast also touches on the recent departure of the commercial executive Damian Irvine. 9. Does anyone own a DAB radio? They are becoming all the rave at the moment. I had one (still used) from Morrisons, however changing stations annoyed the life out of me. Yet, I was lucky enough to win one from Absolute Radio, which the radio is located in my bedroom - It's a Pure One brand, absolutely love it! I also own a personal DAB radio which is the size of an MP3 player. Any way, I hear Sony make decent one's if you don't already own one. http://tinyurl.com/poxea8t
  10. Before the All-Stars game in aid of the Jimmy & Jack Statue Fund, a fan team called Trowsers FC played a memorial match. I was asked to take pictures of them coming out from the dressing room, which I also took some pictures of the actual game. I have attached the album below. >https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154029302965961.1073741879.158954730960&type=3 If you know anyone, please do tag them into the pictures and of course like the gallery album. You Pies!
  11. Have a look at the pics, chances are if you attended I snapped your picture. >https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10154026114240961.1073741878.158954730960&type=3 Don't forget to like, tag (anyone you know). Cheers!
  12. I know, not many people are interested in friendly games but it's a good chance to access the playing squad assembled. I also acknowledge the results are meaningless, as we can play poorly pre-season but ever so well in the league and visa versa we can do well but struggle to scrape together results within the league. Personally I am excited about what could be announced. What type of friendlies do you hope are announced? Hopefully we are very selective about which Non League teams we decide to help out this year, I would certainly avoid Arnold Town personally. I hope we go for League Teams, try to pull local teams like Forest, Villa, Wolves etc down to the lane.

  16. The squad of the 2010 Championship winning League Two side had many players who, stood out as firm fan favourites. I personally think this highlights if you're a serious promotion candidate because it shows the depth in strength, also everyone seemed like to like a wide range of mixed players. Since being relegated a popular discussion point, has been 'Why don't we have players like we did in 2010' and this, in turn made me think about the above question. Who was your favourite League Two championship winning player and why? Russell Hoult, Kasper Schmeichel and Kevin Pilkington. Hayden Hollis, Sol Campbell, Stephen Hunt, Jamie Clapham, John Thompson, Graeme Lee, Mike Edwards and Brendon Maloney. Matt Richie, Matthew Hamshaw, Rickey Ravenhill, Neal Bishop, Ben Davies, Johnnie Jackson, Daniel Jones, Alex Troke and Nathan Fox Lee Hughes, Sean Canham, Karl Hawley, Ben Fairclough, Luke Rodgers, Craig Westcarr, Delroy Facey and Ade Akinbiyi. So who was it?
  17. Hello, thank you for joining Pride of Nottingham for another exciting episode of our PONcast. In this extra addition to our main show, we discuss the recently announced retained list which details the players in talks, those who have been offered contracts and the players released from the Notts County Football Club. We also touch upon messages sent by former goalkeepers Kasper Schmeichel and Bialkowski in the wake of our relegation. We also briefly discuss former ex player Delroy Facey who has been recently found guility of attempted match fixing. Whilst moving onto popular ex magpie Jack Grealish. To finalize the PONcast Extra, we discuss the fans expectations after a recent interview by Notts County CEO Aileen Trew, including fan reactions and we end by discussing the types of players we hope arrive at the club for the 2015/2016 season.
