  1. Please vote for April's Member of the Month! It's that time of the month where we seek your vote(s), this month @Canadian's decided the nominations for April's Member of the Month and as always the lineup is full of contenders to his former crown. One Vote - Please choose who you feel is the most deserving, if you're in the running please vote for someone else and hopefully this will be fun for all involved! Voting ends on the 29th at 7:30pm, not long after the winner will be announced. It's been an interesting month with the great escape and hopefully our growing community flourish further, just as much as Notts have done. Thank you to everyone for your contributions! Please do vote as normal, last month the voting received 18, let's see if we can beat 25 votes!! (which is the most) You Pies!
  2. If anyone is interested, I took quite a few crowd pics. I tend to do this for the majority of games where ever possible really, however It's only just came to me people within our community might be interested. You never know I might have taken some with you in. - Gallery Ps. If you use Facebook and haven't already, please do like our page. Thanks!
  3. I've been into photography for a number of years, however I have never taken it seriously. I do tend to take snaps with my mobile and the quality of those are okay, I don't claim to be a @Dan or anything. It's just something I enjoy to do. I took this one below a few years back (It was taken with my old N8). Here's some in which @GrannyPie and @super_ram will like, it took these yesterday with the camera I got for Christmas. I'm really enjoying using the camera, it's not a full DSLR but something I can learn to use (whilst I save up for a full camera).
  4. As always when it comes to naming our Member of the Month and of course the two Silver and Bronze MotM's, I would like to thank all those who have been apart of the community. Those who contribute, read, visit and share or content! Every 'Liddle' Helps and I appreciate all your hard work! Thank you. This months been quite interesting, thankfully it ended on a positive note. Here we go... @hissingdwarf - You've really been in the wars like myself and others, yet this hasn't stopped you from contributing and being an influential part of this community. Keep up the great work buddy! It's really appreciated. @Cobby - You've been a real hit since you joined us, I'm thankful that we have your type of creativity here and you're posts are always interesting. Jake & I enjoy your company on match days and the effort you put into 'Meet the Fans' is what we call 'dedication'. @Canadian - Bronze, Silver AND NOW GOLD! Well Done mate! I told you that this is what was going happen. You canadian's just don't give up on medals do you? Not that a blame you! You're another member who puts 'Pride' into our name and for all your contributions thank you and well done! Please take the time to spread the community spirit and congratulate all 3 members. YOU PIES!
  5. Please vote for March's Member of the Month! This month nominations have been selected by @GrannyPie, keep in her good books by voting folks. You have 5 days to do so! One Vote - Please choose who you feel is the most deserving, if you're in the running please vote for someone else and hopefully this will be fun for all involved! Voting ends on the 29th at 7:30pm, not long after the winner will be announced. It's been a struggling month for us, we've been injury hit and with Notts not doing so well - I would suspect quite a few fans are down. Thank you to everyone for your contributions! Please do vote as normal, let's see if we can beat 25 votes!! You Pies!
  6. Firstly, I would like to thank each member who's signed into the site and all those who have taken part! Please don't feel you're not appreciated, we very much do and without responses the community would lack life! The poll received 25 votes! I'm very happy with that. This months been interesting, I have been a little more busy and preoccupied but the community have kept going. I like this time of the month when I get chance to praise each and every contribution to our site! It's when I get to reflect on the people who greatly help build and make PoN somewhere all NCFC fans who use our site feel made welcome. Just like last month we will be naming two runner ups, however this just shows how well we're doing. @weymouthPIE - You've been very busy with your help with content and with the prediction league, Thank you for the time you put into our community. It's always good to read your well thought out opinions and as always the humour you share! @Canadian - A little deja vu here, I could have sworn you was named the bronze last month!! This just shows how your contributions help us and are widely received. Thank you for taking time to visit us and post buddy! If this is anything to go by, I suspect next month you will win if you keep going! Hat-trick! Hat-trick!! We want a Hat-trick!! Plus Canadian's seem to win loads of medals!! @GrannyPie - What can I say? You've been a big help and I am glad you joined us. You add to the humour, you help to keep the boys inline! @Northants Pie!! @tonyhateley!! @super_ram!! and you give us a proper family feeling here. I am very pleased that your dedication and supports been recognise. Thank you! Please take the time to spread the community spirit and congratulate all 3 members. YOU PIES!
  7. Please vote for February's Member of the Month! The plan was to start voting on Saturday, however thanks to @hissingdwarf I shall now leave the poll open for 8 days. One Vote - Please choose who you feel is the most deserving, if you're in the running please vote for someone else and hopefully this will be fun for all involved! Voting ends on the 27th at 7:30pm, not long after the winner will be announced. It's been nice to see the site growing, so your support and contributions are greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy the site and best of luck to the nominations! Good Luck everyone! Thank you to everyone for your contributions! Please do vote as normal, let's see if we can beat 30? I hope so! You Pies!
  8. It's been a interesting month for us all here, having decided to give the former "Member of the Month" @liampie the chance to nominate 6 members for this months, as a reward for continuous effort (secretly I didn't want the tough choice). Liam told me via PM that he was unsure, he didn't feel up to deciding, however I asked until he agreed. This month I wanted to do things different, so there's another slight twist to the Member of the Month. Firstly I'd like to thank each and everyone who's signed in, contributed, looked around and even visited. Without people doing so, the site would grind and for me it's rewarding to see people enjoy the site. So, a huge thank you! I would also like to note that yesterday we reached the most unique visits in a day! Nearly 650! also, the most online at one time was beaten with 252 (mostly guests). Two achievements impossible without your support! So here we go - 30 votes later, we have stumbled upon our winner but before I named who that is. @Canadian - You've contributed a vast amount since you joined us, it's richly deserved and I am happy to say. You're PoN's Bronze MotM (basically 3rd place) @Joe Jones - Where would I be without you and your articles? I don't know but I do realize that your efforts help the site immensely. Liam said he couldn't believe you had never won this award before, so I think it's safe to say we're both glad that you're named PoN's Silver MotM. @hissingdwarf my small but very tall friend! You won outright and it's richly deserved. I think the fact that the poll reached 30 votes and 10 of which you received shows how widely your contributions and posts are appreciated. Congrats for being named our Member of the Month for January!! Please take the time to spread the community spirit and congratulate all 3 members. YOU PIES!
  9. Okay, so we've seen our former Member of the Month's struggle adjusting back to life after the award. However, please do spare a thought for me. I can't shake off Google Mobile! At least I feel missed! Not quite sure what it's obsession is with liking my articles.
  10. They complain about being 'blacked out' by Nottingham Forest, yet if you frequently visit their site. You find this to be very common, I don't like it because if I was interested in the team ignoring them - I would check that section. Seems silly that they do this, also very disrespectful. Do they think Notts will actually read? (I'm sure some do)
  11. It's quite clear with our current players we struggle in games with one lone striker, It's a formation I find frustrating. I personally would try to figure out tactics which would allow a basic 4-4-2 system work. What about you? Do you think we should stick or would you change?
  12. Since the real Tony Hateley has sadly passed away I am feeling a bit uncomfortable with my username. The reason I chose it was because he was my all time favourite player. I wondered what you good folk thought, is it in bad taste to use his name now? If I do change I thought as most folk know me as Tony I would probably just use that as my username. I would appreciate if you took time to vote in the poll and put any comments in this thread, thank you.
  13. This can be quite the popular topic on other sites, I've been apart of gaming communities where responses reach 1,000. No it's not going to happen here! (least not anyway - one for the future) Yet, It would be nice to see at least 10. I feel that's being fairly ambitious but you never know. If you can add a screenshot feel free, the simple way is copy and paste. Just check your profile to find the answer to this and see how prolific you're. Here's mine I have a lot of making up to do (it's correct - reason behind it is due to moving from an older version back when PoN was NCFS) So, how Prolific Are You?
  14. I expect Notts to lose especially when not doing all that well, perfect example would be this season. Sometimes teams will play a lot better and exploit a team, though it bugs me that 'sorry' and 'apologies' come rather freely. I've read (and heard) enough to last me for the next 5 seasons. Whilst it's nice to know SD feels bad about it, I don't really want to hear something which means as much to me as a naughty child saying it for the sake of it. Does anyone else expect to see them or want to hear it? It could be me being grumpy I suppose, though words mean little in football and it's what you do on the pitch that ultimately matters. So we lost 1-5 or 1-6 depending where you look (even the official highlights have it as 1-6) LOL Only time I would want to hear 'sorry' is if a player seriously let us down, you calling the fans - walking off the pitch etc. It's not like they stopped playing but they just didn't respond to Walsall's goals. Thoughts?
  15. Celtic's Callum McGregor 'making up for lost time' at Notts County
  16. >http://youtu.be/vEnX3RKVe_k This cannot be our Mark Fotheringham, surely! I swear some clever person's morphed his face into the video! haha. Seriously, I think he's improved a bit recently and would rather see him in the side, playing a more offensive role (either that or give Boucaud a rest)
  17. Please vote for January's Member of the Month! @liampie's sent me his nominations, which leaves me to appeal to the community to join in and vote. One Vote - Please choose who you feel is the most deserving, if you're in the running please vote for someone else and hopefully this will be fun for all involved! Voting ends on the 29th at 7:30pm, not long after the winner will be announced. It's been nice to see the site growing, so your support and contributions are greatly appreciated. I hope you enjoy the site and best of luck to the nominations! Good Luck everyone! Thank you to everyone for your contributions!
  18. I'm not sure about this, I think that I will end up scrapping this but it might just be me being fussy. What do you think?
  19. By far one of the most enjoyable months - We've witnessed PoN flourish and many new members arrive. I am hopeful that those who continue to 'voice' our community - we see the benefits in the long run because with each contribution we attract additional interest and a Fan Site can only grow with the support we have seen. Firstly I want to thank each and everyone who not only nominated 3 members but also took the time to vote. A big 'Thank You!' Please take time to congratulate December's MotM - LiamPie! Well Done mate! No doubt this wasn't an easy choice but as always you do a lot to help us. I think it shows you how much of a part you're on PoN to have been voted and mentioned by so many of the community. I'd like to briefly thank the other 5 runners up, please continue and keep up the great work! A special mention to Joe Jone's who nearly took this month's award, you do a lot of writing for us and general help - Thanks for being a big part of this site, without your hard work we wouldn't have so much to read or enjoy. Next month's will be fun! hehe
  20. For me, Dean Leacock is one of our big players. He's someone I expect a lot from, mainly due to the fact at this level he should be reliable. This season he hasn't impressed me much at all, there's been times we've needed him and he's lacked any sort of interest. Some performances have been blamed due to injury, tiredness and even being ill, however for me - for such a big named player we haven't missed him. He should be the type of player exactly how we see Gary Liddle. Massive blow for us, our fans discussed his absence and was probably the main thing I heard yesterday (a-side from Jack & Callum future with us). Deano just hasn't been the same player this season, yesterday he put a reasonable performance in but still he lacked the passion you would expect from the Captain. At no point did he try to fire up the players, this is something we need. After going a goal down his response should have been pure annoyance and desire to inspire the lads to correct things. I don't blame him for our season, he's sadly one of many contributing factors but it's an interesting area to debate. I don't think he should be our captain - I'd go as far as he shouldn't be starting as frequently as he does. JCR's time injured and benched did him the world of good, why is Deano to good for this?
  21. Greg Tempest - He's shown a good learning curve, pretty sound and a player I'd like to see feature more. With more game time I see Greg easily being the type of player we require to produce. Tyrell Waite - From what I have seen (which is all his main features) he's a very gifted forward. He can pass, make space, run, take on players and importantly he's shown signs of knowing how to score. Curtis Thompson - He's a little raw and almost school boy like but when he gets the ball, he isn't afraid to take on players! He's looked very mature and gifted in some games, especially when played in midfield. At Liverpool he shown no signs of nerves and helped us on our breaks against them. Kyle Dixon, Haydn Hollis and Fab's are players with great promise - Fab's could very well be our first team keeper next year! I would definitely try to feature all these 6 when possible. Which three youngsters/home produced players do you rate and why?
  22. Dear Community and Visitors, I'm really happy with how things are coming along, it's very impressive and it's the support which makes the foundations of Pride of Nottingham so solid. We're regularly writing content now, with the help of Joe and some of our other writers. I have arranged travel (I just need to book) for the Doncaster game, I need to know who's going and so if anyone is interested please let me know for sure here. £12.50 is a great deal and this can go along way for our community, it's something I have many hopes on and I can't wait. Super Ram plans to write up some articles based on football history, this will be very popular in my opinion and some of our audience on Facebook agrees. Come on Super Ram! You will not believe the amount of time I spend on trying to interact with people, it's worth it believe me because I greatly enjoy it. I plan to hold a Quiz Night, I also aim if popular to bring back the Raffle System and have some fun community days. We just need people regularly visiting, contributing and having a good time. I hope the majority of people who do visit leave feeling they've been given some sort quality, running a Fan Site is a learning curve for myself. It's much different from any other of the sites I do but it's also the one I am most proud of. This site is ours, it's for the people who support our club and residents of opposition teams who wish us well. If you would like to see Quiz Nights and so on, please let me know below. Suggestions are very important! A post a day keeps Notts Joe away! Seriously, Thanks ~Joe
  23. Please vote for December's Member of the Month! One Vote - Please choose who you feel is the most deserving, if you're in the running please vote for someone else and hopefully this will be fun for all involved! Voting ends on the 30th and 7:30, not long after the winner will be announced. I'd like to take time to thank everyone for getting involved and helping with nominating members! Good Luck everyone! Help share this, if you wouldn't mind so we can get more votes and lets let the community decide! Thank you to everyone for your contributions!
  24. Okay, We're now asking that each member nominates three members they feel have contributed over the past month and deserve a chance to be named as December's Member of the Month. Which three have stood out the most for you? Please do add some usernames into the running, as I will below. You Pies! Thanks!
  25. This is not easy to do, it might appear so but even in the earliest days - 3+ candidates always stood out. We decided that this month would see if we could attract votes from the community, I have to be honest I was nervous about not getting enough votes or it failing. I'm delighted with how it was received, it shown me a glimpse of what this place can be and what I aim for it to be. Next month I hope you all will join me in nominating the candidates - We will then vote for the the popular 6 (as we did this month). You can name up to 3 members - Then myself and cheeky will create a poll for you to vote. Whoever get's mentioned the most will be in the voting stage. Please take a moment to congratulate PTID1862 - He's been a big boost to our community, as each and everyone who gets involved does but I felt there's been a great amount of care/quality with PTID and he almost received this without voting (as this was recent idea I wanted to try next month). Thank you to each and every memeber! - especially you PTID! Congrats and please keep up your great attitude around here. You Pies!
