  1. Notts County's August match action has come to an end, with their last fixture of the month seeing them held to a 2-2 draw with Accrington Stanley at Meadow Lane on Friday night. Whilst two wins, a defeat and a draw would seem like a fair enough tally from the first month of the League Two season, there is a sense of wasted opportunity from this fixture given the opposition successfully clawed back a two-goal deficit. Jon Stead's successful spot kick midway through the first half and Jorge Grant's early second half strike were cancelled out through Mark Hughes's goal and loanee Mallik Wilks's equaliser five minutes into injury time. Other notable occurrences in the game were Stanley goalkeeper Aaron Chapman's heroics in between the sticks, red cards for Notts man Matt Tootle and opposition sub Mekhi McLeod, and a performance from referee Carl Boyeson which has come under scrutiny from both sets of fans. Here are the highlights from Notts County's official YouTube channel - see all four goals again and relive all the drama from the game. 3. Notts County gave the travelling Black and White Army a real scare in their 4-2 win over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park on Sunday. The League Two clash began superbly for the Magpies, who took the lead through a Richard Duffy header before being gifted a goal thanks to a defensive calamity finished off by Adam El Abd's own goal. However, the Chairboys came back strongly in the second half and drew level, with Nick Freeman and Joe Jacobson striking back and leaving Notts rattled. Just as it seemed like the visitors would crumble, up stepped Jonathan Forte to edge the Magpies back into the lead, before laying the groundwork for Lewis Alessandra to add the killer fourth. The highlights of the match are up on the official Notts website - relive the emphatic match or, if you weren't there, see for yourself how things went down. 4. Notts County grabbed their first league win of the 2017/18 League Two season in impressive fashion, seeing off a dirty Chesterfield side 2-0 in Saturday's encounter at Meadow Lane. A game laden with controversy, Gozie Ugwu should have earned a red card for a number of clashes with home players, and was hauled off at half time by Gary Caldwell. Gibraltar international Scott Wiseman, meanwhile, did get his marching orders after hauling down Terry Hawkridge, denying him a clear goalscoring opportunity. In the end, the encounter was settled by Jorge Grant, whose looping header to break the deadlock was followed up by a spectacular free kick into the bottom corner of the Spireites net. Notts have put up the highlights of the game on YouTube - have another look for yourself how the Magpies got on and relive Grant's moments of magic. 6. Notts County have ended their programme of League Two home fixtures this season on a winning note after a 1-0 win over Blackpool at Meadow Lane on Saturday. Centre-half Richard Duffy's fourth goal of the season was all that separated the two sides as he headed into an unguarded net on 34 minutes after Blackpool goalkeeper Sam Slocombe had kept out Jorge Grant's free-kick. Here are the highlights from the clash against the playoff-chasing Tangerines from the official Notts YouTube channel. 7. Notts County fell to a 2-1 defeat at Luton Town in Saturday's League Two clash at Kenilworth Road. The Magpies began well as Elliott Hewitt opened the scoring, but goals from Ollie Palmer and Pelly-Ruddock Mpanzu put the Hatters in the lead by the end of the first half and they hung onto it until the final whistle. The official Notts site has put up the match highlights, so you can have a look for yourself how the Magpies did against the Hatters as well as the game's goals. 8. Notts County secured League Two safety despite falling to a 3-1 defeat to Portsmouth at Meadow Lane on Monday. Gareth Evans put Paul Cook's side ahead from the spot after a foul on Kai Naismith by Richard Duffy. The Magpies drew level in the second half, however, when Jorge Grant found the corner from Elliott Hewitt's pass. Jamal Lowe restored Pompey's lead with an angled shot in the second half and made sure of victory - and eventual promotion - with a second in the 90th minute. The official Notts site has published the game highlights - see how the game panned out for yourself. 9. Notts County put in another impressive display to claim a 2-1 win over Carlisle United in Saturday's League Two clash at Brunton Park. It looked like the Magpies' winning run would come to an end at Brunton Park when substitute Jabo Ibehre put the Cumbrians ahead and the clock began to tick over into the 80s. However, Jon Stead drew Notts level in the 85th minute before Matt Tootle struck a winner heading into injury time to make it four wins on the trot for Nolan's boys. 10. Notts County put in an impressive performance to beat Colchester United 3-1 at Meadow Lane and remain 13 points clear of League Two's bottom two with six games remaining. Haydn Hollis opened the scoring early on and Shola Ameobi bagged a brace to restore the Magpies lead and give them a healthy cushion on the way to victory. The official Notts site has put up the match highlights - see for yourself how well Kevin Nolan's charges did. 11. Shola Ameobi scored the only goal as Notts County took another step towards survival in League Two thanks to a 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park on Saturday. The former Newcastle United forward's 27th-minute strike proved the winner against Gareth Ainsworth's Chairboys and put the Magpies 13 points clear of the bottom two. With just seven games left and basement sides Newport County and Leyton Orient in torrid form, the general consensus among the Black and White Army is that their beloved club will still be playing League Two football next season. The official Notts County YouTube page has shared the highlights of the game against Wycombe - see for yourself how Kevin Nolan's boys did.

  14. Ten-man Notts County took another step towards League Two safety as Matt Tootle's first goal for the club secured a 1-0 win over Barnet at Meadow Lane on Sunday. The Magpies had a man sent off after just 11 minutes when Mark Yeates was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Ricardo Almeida Santos. Although at a disadvantage, Notts managed to create chances with Marc Bola going close on two occasions from distance. The breakthrough eventually arrived in the second half when Jorge Grant teed up Tootle, who lashed a superb finish past Benjamin Buchel. Notts County's official website has put up the match highlights - see Tootle's goal for yourself, and also see whether Yeates deserved to be sent off. 15. Notts County fell to an unfortunate and controversial 3-1 defeat at Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday night. The visitors took the lead through Richard Duffy, but strikes from James Coppinger and John Marquis either side of the break put Donny in the lead. Notts thought they had equalised when Haydn Hollis headed home in the second half, but the flag went up to rule the goal out, much to the bemusement of the travelling contingent. Andy Williams then sealed the win by adding a third for the hosts in stoppage time as Notts sent goalkeeper Adam Collin forward. The official Notts page on YouTube has posted the highlights - judge for yourself whether Hollis's disallowed header should have counted or not.
