  1. It's being reported that our cult hero (was he a cult hero for us?) is being heavily linked with several League One teams and is set to leave, now this isn't news to me. I had been told very early on, that Bajner wanted to play above League Two and that he was set to refuse signing a new contract. No major disappointment but I do feel he could have done very well within the basement of English football. It means we require two strikers however, both of which need to be strong and able to score goals. If I was Moniz I would have tried convincing Bajner his future was at our club and a short stint in League Two would have done him the world of good but as it stands, it seems Oldham or another club will snap him up. Thoughts?
  2. Garry Thompson has signed for Wycombe. Can't say I'm too disappointed, he's knocking on a bit and I would prefer a Spencer-Murray partnership up front, didn't really rate him on the wing. Plus, Moniz said he wants pace on the wings, and G Thompson does not offer that. All the best for the future Garry. No doubt he'll score against us.
  3. So, contrary to the information put out by the club, Gary Jones has not yet been offered a contract by the club. A bit shoddy of the club IMO, to keep these guys hanging on and not getting in touch. Gary Jones was a professional throughout, and I would say that without him last season we could very well have finished last. Not a way to repay his efforts. Plus, it's deceiving fans as-well. http://www.nottinghampost.com/Gary-Jones-says-awaiting-contract-offer-Notts/story-26674879-detail/story.html
  4. What a surprise. Didn't see that one coming at all. Not. Bit like a lorry driver ducking at every bridge. Sees it coming a mile off. Lol http://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/article/damian-irvine-notts-county-meadow-lane-2472143.aspx Speaking of lorry drivers and bridges...has anyone heard from our own ducked? Not seen him around recently. Is it post election blues for @PTID1862?
  5. Sean Newton has been snapped up by Wrexham, whereas Greg Tempest signed for Lincoln City. Manager Gary Mills has made his first new signing of the summer by persuading left back Sean Newton to join the club on a one-year deal. Read More - Here Lincoln City have made their third signing of the summer after snapping up former Boston United and Notts County midfielder Greg Tempest. The 21-year-old midfielder has agreed a one-year deal with the Imps, joining Lee Beevers and Matt Rhead, who signed two-year deals earlier in the day. Read More - Here I'm pleased that Greg has been picked up by a local club, I think he will do well with them. Thoughts?
  6. I knew he had dropped off the planet, but this is taking it a bit far!!! Notts County goalkeeper Fabian Spiess is training with Liverpool By Leigh_Curtis | Posted: April 29, 2015 Fabian Spiess is training with Liverpool Comments (0)Notts County goalkeeper Fabian Spiess has been training with Premier League side Liverpool. Spiess has been with the Reds for the last three days having and is hoping to impress manager Brendan Rodgers. The German has found appearances limited at Meadow Lane this season because of the form of Northern Ireland international Roy Carroll. He has played two games for the Magpies this season but they have come in the Johnstone Paint Trophy. Spiess was also sent out on loan to Bristol Rovers in December and played three games for the Pirates and remained undefeated. Since moving to Notts in 2011, Spiess has only made 16 appearances, 14 of them starts, the other two have come as a substitute. He is highly rated at Meadow Lane and if any club were to make a move for him, the Magpies would be entitled to compensation because he is under the age of 24. 7. I'm not bothered about White, he didn't do enough to warrant even starting and looked very awkward. I had hoped he could prove me wrong, however it wasn't to be but his team mate Woolery is a blow because his pace could be useful. He could have been useful to play alongside Bajner, plus he acted as a backup for the wing. What do you think folks?
  8. It looks like he's set to make another move, however the reports read like he could be leaving. I like Tyrell Waite, he's a good lad and player and I can't help but feel he will only improve playing in our own squad. I'm not sure the move will help him playing in the Non League, we need to work on getting our players into Burton or Mansfield. Thoughts?
  9. The deal see's the pair join Boston United on a months loan, they're set to go straight into the squad to face Dereham Town in the FA Cup tomorrow after being granted permission to play by their parent club. Thoughts?
  10. Notts County's Danny Haynes to join Hibs on loan
  11. Good move for me, it's important that key youngsters get a chance to establish themselves and gain experience. I like Kyle, he's a pretty promising player but sat in our dev squad. It isn't going to help him as much as actual experience, hopefully he impresses them and attract interest from a League Two team. Useful youth player IMO.
