  1. Ray has confirmed we are in talks with him, right back came threw arsenal youth ranks but played most of his career at Middlesbrough thoughts?
  2. I have noticed this already being discussed, however since the nature of the discussion originates based around a rumour from off a Twitter account and the fact Jimmy Spencer linking with Blackpool is stepping up a few notches, I felt it was worth while adding a topic on the very subject. Team Talk are reporting Could the Twitter account have merit behind the rumour? What do you make of this? Do you think we should cash in on Jimmy if we could or are you against it? Discuss folks...
  3. So former Tottenham Hotspur academy player Kudus Oyenuga is being linked with Notts County. He's just 22 years old and is already quite well travelled in terms of clubs played, having played for Finnish outfit MyPa and a number of clubs in England and Scotland. His most prolific spell was for Hayes & Yeading, scoring 18 goals in 40 games. His last club was Cowdenbeath FC in Scottish League One, where he bagged five in 17, and is now a free agent. What do you think about the possibility of him being signed by Notts? Given that he's young, could Moniz turn him into a gem or is his record tainted by the clubs he's played for and the relative poor turnover of goals? Let's get some opinions and thoughts!
  4. The Flying Dutchman will sign today according to Radio Nottingham. And 4 other players may sign before the weekend.
  5. Just checked Skybet and his odds have dropped to 7/4! Not sure where that came from as last time I looked he was 17/1. The bookies usually have it right so is he the next man in the hotseat? http://www.skybet.com/football/specials/manager-specials
  6. The Nottingham Post seem desperate to clutch straws after suggesting Liam Noble would be the best signing Notts could expect in the 'quiet' January trasfer window. Basically expect the opposite when they suggest something, it's quite pathetic really. So in this case, I think it's safe to say Bradley Wright-Phillips is on his way in!!! also why would Shaun reject a chance of playing with his brother, yet opt to sign for Shaun and us? Possibly the best question, if the Post think it's unlikely why are they reporting it? Thoughts?
  7. Link to Story - Here It seems from reading the comments Rangers want to keep him but I wonder if we really need another striker? It seems that we are being liked with many decent players within this window but I do feel we are bordering our limit with the amount of loan players we bring in. No doubt I'd take him, thought it mean Thomas goes back to Derby? I can't see us playing all these strikers, even if we don't sign Clark. Thoughts?
  8. It seems we are interested in Jermaine Easter. He's a reasonably decent striker, who could actually do a job in this league but it seems he isn't interested in leaving Millwall. If any deal included a fee and a transfer, I personally would rather see it being spent elsewhere. It seems that is what Ian Holloway is seeking but what price would you put on Jermaine Easter? If the rumours are about us having money, it would be better spent on younger players. Thoughts?
  9. Supposedly occurring to "Mike McCarthy" on Twitter and the ThisisNottingham website, Wolves striker Jake Cassidy is still on our managers radar. He wrote "Notts County manager Shaun Derry confirms interest in bringing Jake Cassidy back to Meadow Lane. Says McLaughlin & Laing deals difficult." It doesn't do anymore than state the obvious really, getting McLaughlin and Laing back would always be difficult. Forest are going to need to balance their squad and I can see Laing making his way into their side on rotation due to their transfer embargo, whereas Pearce seems to support McLaughlin so they're very unlikely. Would you take Jake Cassidy back?
  10. Notts County duo Kyle Dixon and Greg Tempest set to extend Boston United loan deals. Dixon's and Tempest's deals expired last Saturday, however our magpie pair look very likely to extend their stay with the The Pilgrims. Boston have been granted permission to discuss it with Notts as Dennis Greene is keen to extend their stay... Good news? They seem to be doing well. Thoughts? Let PoN know, comment below.
  11. Championship and League One clubs chase Bolton's Rob Hall
  12. Fairly high rated player, good response from the Notts fans. I am hopeful we see some permanent signings in midfield but this would certainly be a start. Thoughts?
  13. There's a rumour going around that McLeod is set to sign from MK Dons, not sure I believe it but a friend linked a message about Orient being interested in Haynes? I'm not sure about McLeod personally, despite Haynes being split between our fan base. I do have hopes for him! I would only let him go if a fee was involved and if Derry was open to giving Arquin another chance, unless he leaves. We need to make the most of who we have available. Your thoughts?
  14. Full Article: Here ----My Thoughts---------- I really don't understand why we signed him in the first place, very limited chances with us but looked okay. I am sure we can find better and I am glad that Derry is getting on with business. Fine tuning the squad is very important! I'm just surprised that Notts haven't announced his release, so for now I'm labeling this as a rumour. Hopefully more news to come soon! Thoughts?
  15. Notts County are lining up a move for St Johnstone striker Craig Beattie Sky Sports understands Notts County are lining up a move for St Johnstone striker Craig Beattie. Notts County are in the market for striking reinforcements after allowing Lee Hughes to leave Meadow Lane for Port Vale. Magpies boss Keith Curle has held a long-term interest in former Celtic and West Brom striker Beattie and tried to sign him in the summer. Curle is now ready to rekindle his interest in Beattie as he looks to fill the void left by Hughes' departure. Beattie is well down the pecking order at St Johnstone and he has only made four appearances all season so he could be tempted to move on in search of regular first-team football. Wouldn't be a half bad signing in my opinion, Craig as some good experience. I'll wait to see there's any truth in this before commenting further but I don't agree with some comments I have noticed regarding him being a 'reject'. Many decent players find themselves being released.
