<p>
	Notts County has confirmed which players have been offered new deals after the 2019/2020 retained list was published on the official website.
</p>

<p>
	The club has announced that five players will be released, with manager Neal Ardley offering 7 new deals to others. Whilst Enzio Boldewijn, Damien McCrory, Jim O'Brien, Connell Rawlinson, Cal Roberts, Sam Slocombe, Wes Thomas, Ben Turner, Kyle Wootton and Tiernan Brooks remaining under contract.
</p>

<p>
	Neal Ardley said via the OS: "This is always the toughest day in a manager’s calendar, but it’s especially difficult this year as we are saying goodbye to great lads who have given their absolute all to the cause
</p>

<p>
	The relationship I have with these boys goes beyond that of a typical manager and player. They have all bought into mine and the club’s philosophy and helped take us to a play-off final and an FA Trophy semi, achievements we could only have dreamed of at this stage last year." He added.
</p>

<p>
	Richard Brindley, Kristian Dennis, Michael Doyle, Dion Kelly-Evans, Alex Lacey, Joe McDonnell and Sam Osborne have all be offered new deals.
</p>

<p>
	"Unfortunately football is a cruel sport and disappointing news is par for the course in any player’s career. All I can do is publicly thank each of them for their efforts and wish them all the very best for the future." Ardley added further.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Released:</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Zoumana Bakayogo<br>
	Regan Booty<br>
	Tom Crawford<br>
	Mitch Rose<br>
	Scott Wilson</em>
</p>

<p>
	Whilst 3 of the 5 come as no surprise, Regan Booty, and Tom Crawford does due to their potential.
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em>The Pride of Nottingham wishes all of the players departing Meadow Lane all the very best.</em></strong>

<p>
	Notts County fan flags have been pouring into the club ahead of the semi-final game against either Barnet or Yeovil.
</p>

<p>
	With magpie’ fans wanting to make their presence felt, despite the absence due to the game being played behind closed doors and, the restrictions of COVID-19.
</p>

<p>
	The club has announced that various flags will be on display around Meadow Lane, with the fans’ being placed inside the Derek Pavis Stand.
</p>

<p>
	Teaming up with <a href="https://www.onestoppromotions.co.uk/pages/notts-county-personalised-flags-size" rel="external nofollow">One Stop Promotions</a>, fans can design a vast array of concepts within their own flag and, Lian Martin has told the Pride of Nottingham that over 80 have been purchased so far – with the 100 marks being expected to be broken during the weekend.
</p>

<p>
	Fans have until 9am of Monday 20th July to purchase theirs ahead of the historic playoff semi-final, as Notts County push to make their Football League return via Wembley.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham is pleased to be joining many other magpies with our very own flag which has been produced by the club’s partner <a href="https://www.onestoppromotions.co.uk/pages/notts-county-personalised-flags-size" rel="external nofollow">One Stop Promotions</a>.

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2020_01/0_JS191586998.jpg.1e26346b0bce187f7f6e9c0e2eac70d9.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Notts County have announced the permanent signing of Kyle Wootton from Scunthorpe United.
</p>

<p>
	The 23-year-old has been sensational at Meadow Lane since his loan switch last summer, scoring 12 goals so far.
</p>

<p>
	Neal Ardley admitted last week that Notts had working for two months on turning the transfer of Wootton into a permanent one and it has certainly reaped dividends.
</p>

<p>
	Wootton has signed a deal that runs until the end of the 2021-22 season and whilst the fee is officially undisclosed, the <a href="https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/football-news/they-havent-been-stupid-neal-3717562" rel="external nofollow">Nottingham Post</a> has reported it as around £60,000.
</p>
<script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

<p>
	“I’m absolutely delighted to get it done,” Wootton told the club media <a href="https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2020/january/wootton-interview-permanent-signing-081020/" rel="external nofollow">team</a>. “I couldn’t be happier and I’m ready to keep improving and helping the club go in the right direction.
</p>

<p>
	“I’ve been here on loan and it’s felt like home – that’s a really important thing for me.
</p>

<p>
	“I was at Scunthorpe for 13 years and it was a massive part of my life but it’s the right time to move on.
</p>

<p>
	“This club has a big place in my heart and I’m ready to keep moving forwards with Notts now.”

<p>
	Notts County ace Matt Tootle has taken to Twitter to update fans on how he is following a comment he heard from a fan at Meadow Lane wondering whether he is okay.
</p>

<p>
	The defender has had very little game time this season and hasn't featured in many of Neal Ardley's squads, but the player has reassured fans that his mental health is as good as ever.
</p>

<p>
	Several years ago, Tootle spoke publicly about having battled mental health issues in the past, but in response to the fan who asked about his current state of mind, he said he was fine.
</p>

<p>
	He added that his absence is purely football related, namely being out of favour.

	Here are his tweets on the subject:

<p>
	Notts County have made two signings today as midfielder Regan Booty and striker Wes Thomas link up with the Meadow Lane outfit.
</p>

<p>
	Booty, a 21-year-old playmaker who spent last season on loan at Aldershot, joins the Magpies on a permanent deal after ending his 13-year stay at Huddersfield Town earlier this summer.
</p>

<p>
	As for 32-year-old Thomas, who was most recently with Grimsby, he has joined up with Neal Ardley’s squad as the Magpies recruited a replacement for Kane Hemmings, who left for Dundee on Thursday.
</p>

<p>
	Booty made 40 appearances during his spell at Aldershot, while in pre-season he spent time with Bradford City and Halifax Town, clocking up over 500 minutes in friendlies this summer.
</p>

<p>
	Thomas, meanwhile, made his professional debut in 2008 while at Dagenham &amp; Redbridge and has made over 300 league appearances since, with a CV boasting the likes of Birmingham City and Bournemouth.
</p>

<p>
	Up next for Notts is the trip to Harrogate on Tuesday night, their fourth game this month.

<p>
	Notts County added to their acquisition of Ben Turner by making four signings between Thursday morning and afternoon.
</p>

<p>
	First up was the signing of left-back Zoumana Bakayogo, who was most recently with Tranmere Rovers.
</p>

<p>
	The 32-year-old defender was part of the side that was promoted from League Two last season and played 90 minutes in each of the Magpies’ meetings with his former club.
</p>

<p>
	Then came goalkeeper Sam Slocombe, who was most recently with Bristol Rovers, having joined them in July 2017.
</p>

<p>
	The 31-year-old stopper has made just shy of 200 Football League appearances following his professional debut in September 2009.
</p>

<p>
	In the afternoon, trialists Dion Kelly-Evans and Damien McCrory - both full-backs were snapped up by Notts.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies have until 5pm on Friday to get any paperwork sent to the National League for new signings to be eligible to feature against Eastleigh on Saturday.

<p>
	Notts County have made their first signing of the summer by recruiting centre-back Ben Turner, formerly of Cardiff City.
</p>

<p>
	The 31-year-old, whose tally stands at almost 300 league appearances, has played in each of England’s top four tiers and was most recently with Mansfield Town, where he made 10 appearances.
</p>

<p>
	Prior to that, the defender turned out for the Bluebirds - who he helped get promoted to the Premier League in 2013 plus Burton Albion, Coventry City, Oldham Athletic and Peterborough United.
</p>

<p>
	Notts manager Neal Ardley told the club website: "In a lot of games last season we lacked physical presence, so at the top of our list of priorities was a dominant centre back.
</p>

<p>
	"Working with the new owners - and the stats they've got - Ben came out top of the pile.
</p>

<p>
	"I know Ben from our days at Cardiff, so I understand his character. He brings aerial dominance, leadership, experience and know-how.
</p>

<p>
	"To attract him to come to us when he had several League Two possibilities on the table is brilliant."

</p>

<p>
	The takeover of the club is complete.
</p>

<p>
	The former owner has relinquished control of the club to Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz, the Danish brothers who together own statistical footballing website Football Radar.
</p>

<p>
	"It is with great pleasure that we are able to announce today that we are the new owners of Notts County Football Club," part of the official club statement read.
</p>

<p>
	"We are delighted that the deal has been completed, and that the uncertainty about the club’s future has come to an end.

	Lilian Greenwood, MP for Nottingham South, has taken to Twitter with a thread regarding her meeting with Alan Hardy in wake of the recent happenings at Notts County.
</p>

<p>
	You don't need us at Pride of Nottingham to recap exactly what's been happening with the club.
</p>

<p>
	Let's face it, you as much as us are most likely sick to the back teeth of constantly hearing about how our beloved club, rich in tradition and history, has lurched from one humiliation to the other.
</p>

<p>
	Anyway, here is each message:

<p>
	Notts County have announced a number of amendments to the 2019-20 season ticket packages in wake of the club's relegation to the National League.
</p>

<p>
	The previously-announced adult and senior renewal prices have been reduced by more than £30, starting from £276 and £184 respectively, while a 22-25 age category has also been introduced.
</p>

<p>
	Current season ticket holders will have their seats reserved until Friday 31 May, after which time they will be released for general sale, as per the official club website.
</p>

<p>
	In addition, to allow fans more time to make a decision, the renewal deadline has also been moved from Friday 10 May to Monday 1 July.
</p>

<p>
	Adults and seniors who have already renewed will be able to claim a refund on the difference in price by visiting the Meadow Lane ticket office or calling 0115 955 7210.
</p>

<p>
	With our beloved Notts County having four games to save their Football League status, we at Pride of Nottingham wanted to pass on a message from a fellow fan.
</p>

<p>
	Addressing the Magpies players and coaches, Glen Gretton has this to say:
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>To any of the players or management team that may read this.</span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>I am a lifelong Notts County supporter third generation and in August 2017 my partner gave birth to my first child he will become the fourth generation Notts County supporter.</span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>I like telling him stories but this one story I’d like to tell him is about a bunch of players that were down on their luck and in the pits of despair and nothing was going right and it looks very bleak for the future, but somehow someway, these bunch of players gathered themselves together, looked each other in the eye and said we can get out of this mess.</span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>We can do it because we are Notts County players and Notts County players never give up it will be the greatest of great escapes for this great club.</span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>If you boys can get us out of this mess you will go down in history.</span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>Please let there be a happy ending to my story for my boy. </span></span></em></strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong><em><span class="_5yl5"><span>COYP</span></span> </em></strong>

<p>
	Former Notts County defender Thierry Audel has completed his UEFA B License in football coaching.
</p>

<p>
	The French born player currently plays for Welling United in the National League South whilst under tutorship of Chris Fairclough, who played for Notts County during the 1998/99 season.
</p>

<p>
	He continues to work towards further establishing his new business venture <a href="https://www.audelsports.com/" rel="external nofollow">Audelsports</a>.
</p>

<p>
	It started in Leicester and has progressed and now extended to Nottingham.  He told PON exclusively; "I have been my own client during all those years of Football and I also had the chance to learn from high standard professionals.
</p>

<p>
	“I decided that it was time to share, but with my own philosophy.”
</p>

<p>
	Thierry also said, "I have big plans for Audelsports. It is growing very fast. I dedicate time to my Personal Training activity in Nottingham and Leicester and will keep extending to try and satisfy all the needs.
</p>

<p>
	“Fitness is very important for many reasons. Self-confidence, Stress, Mood, Weight, Energy but MOST importantly... Your Health.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County has been very available in sorting me out a classroom to help me complete my UEFA B License Presentation."
</p>

<p>
	When asked about the current season for the magpies, he replied “I keep checking Notts County Fc results wishing them the very best.
</p>

<p>
	“I always had a great relationship with the club. As I am training people in Beeston, Nottingham from time to time. I like to stop by to say Hi. Actually, I brought my son to the home game against Cambridge United a few weeks ago.”
</p>

<p>
	Notts County currently sits rock bottom of the League Two table, 5 points adrift from safety and 2 points behind Macclesfield Town.

<p>
	Ahead of Notts County's big League Two derby against Mansfield Town, the Stags have announced that more tickets were allocated for their fans for the game on Saturday 16 February.
</p>

<p>
	Mansfield had sold their initial allocation of 3,954 tickets but were then allocated another 328 tickets which have now also sold out.
</p>

<p>
	The Stags were also issued with the following statement from Notts County Football Club:
</p>

<p>
	“There will be strictly no tickets available to buy on the day. Please do not travel to the match without one.
</p>

<p>
	“Any Mansfield Town supporters found to be in home areas will be ejected from the stadium without refund and will not under any circumstances be relocated to the away supporters’ section.”
</p>

<p>
	With Neal Ardley's side having put in a much improved performance against Lincoln City after some reinforcements were brought in during January, there is more optimism around the fixture from the Black &amp; White Army's point of view.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County's transfer deadline day additions continued into the night as Michael Doyle joined from Coventry City on a permanent deal.
</p>

<p>
	The 37-year-old midfielder has made over 700 appearances during his career and won promotion to League One with the Sky Blues last season.
</p>

<p>
	Doyle's arrival follows that of teenage striker Virgil Gomis from Nottingham Forest.
</p>

<p>
	The 19-year-old has been in fine scoring form for the Reds' Under 23s team this season and has also spent time on loan at National League outfit Braintree, scoring once in his five appearances during his month there.
</p>

<p>
	Earlier in the day, Notts brought in Middlesbrough defender Sam Stubbs on loan, while Branislav Pindroch and Kristian Dennis both left Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	Stubbs, the 20-year-old son of former Bolton, Everton and Celtic defender Alan, joined Boro from Wigan on a two-and-half-year deal in July 2018 but is yet to make a first-team appearance for the Teessiders.
</p>

<p>
	Dennis joined Notts for an undisclosed fee in the summer, after scoring 21 goals for relegated Chesterfield last season, but has scored just six in 29 games this season for the Magpies.
</p>

<p>
	He has now been shipped out on loan to Grimsby Town for the rest of the season, with Craig Mackail-Smith having arrived on loan from Wycombe Wanderers.
</p>

<p>
	As for Pindroch, he has played just five times for the club since joining in the summer of 2017 and has failed to make the number one shirt his own at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	The first Slovakian to play for Notts has now been released from his contract amid an "exciting" opportunity elsewhere.

	He has now been shipped out on loan to Grimsby Town for the rest of the season, with Craig Mackail-Smith having arrived on loan from Wycombe Wanderers.
</p>

<p>
	As for Pindroch, he has played just five times for the club since joining in the summer of 2017 and has failed to make the number one shirt his own at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	The first Slovakian to play for Notts has now been released from his contract amid an "exciting" opportunity elsewhere.

<p>
	Notts County have signed Wycombe Wanderers striker Craig Mackail-Smith on a loan deal until the end of the season.
</p>

<p>
	The 34-year-old former Scotland international has scored 185 goals in a five-club career, which has included three spells with Peterborough United.
</p>

<p>
	He has made 25 appearances this season and scored three goals, but has only started 13 league games.
</p>

<p>
	Mackail-Smith will immediately go into the squad to face Lincoln City at Meadow Lane this weekend.
</p>

<p>
	“Craig has built a very good reputation in the game,” said Neal Ardley.
</p>

<p>
	“In this window we wanted to add players who know how to excel at this level, along with a couple of exciting young prospects. We wanted that mix of experience and quality.
</p>

<p>
	“He makes me feel tired just watching him play. He doesn’t stop running – he’s still got that yard of pace he’s always had and he’s got a lot of know-how and experience.
</p>

<p>
	“Adding Craig on top of Mitch Rose is great and we’re hopeful of possibly adding another couple in the next day or so.”

<p>
	Neal Ardley has issued a rallying call to his Notts County players, urging them not to feel sorry for themselves and to show character in an attempt to survive relegation from League Two.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies are in dire straits at present, sitting seven points adrift of safety at the bottom of the Football League and with fans having genuine concerns about a drop into the non-league abyss.
</p>

<p>
	Ardley, County's third boss this season, insists he understands how the fans are feeling due to the fact the club is on the precipice, but stressed that the squad must try to banish it from their minds.
</p>

<p>
	“They’ve got to put their shoulders back and not feel sorry for themselves,” he told the Nottingham Post. “We’ve got 17 games left and we’ve got to do it.  We can’t let the negativity affect us.
</p>

<p>
	“It’s tough and I understand how the fans feel. I am busting my proverbials to try and change it. I will keep doing that.
</p>

<p>
	“You can crumble and go ‘oh this is tough’ and say 'I am low on confidence', but no I don’t want that. We’ve got to show some character.”

<p>
	As of Thursday afternoon, Notts County have made several moves in the transfer market as well as a contract update.
</p>

<p>
	First up is winger Terry Hawkridge being released from his Magpies contract so he could pursue an opportunity with another club.
</p>

<p>
	No team has been mentioned as of 3pm but Neal Ardley said he's being pursued by a few clubs, so best of luck to him.
</p>

<p>
	Then is the loan signing of 19-year-old Huddersfield goalkeeper Ryan Schofield, was England’s number one when they won the 2017 Toulon Tournament.
</p>

<p>
	And the third update is that defender Cedric Evina has extended his contact at Meadow Lane until the end of the season.
</p>

<p>
	The full-back's deal was set to expire this month but he will now remain with Notts until at least the summer, at which point hopefully there will be another League Two season in store.

<p>
	Neal Ardley has spoken of how Notts County were going in for a player but just before the signing could be completed, it turned out he would be out for six weeks.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies boss also elaborated on other players who could be coming in, with one decision seemingly close and others in the pipeline.
</p>

<p>
	Ardley was speaking after Saturday's 3-3 draw with Colchester, a good performance that was still beset by defensive issues and yielded one point despite Notts being 3-1 up.
</p>

<p>
	“We had an offer in for a player which was agreed and all ready to go, but he had a little niggle and was told it might be seven to 10 days,” he told the Nottingham Post.
</p>

<p>
	“But then we find out he has got a fracture in his foot and he is out for six weeks.
</p>

<p>
	“That was a blow because that one was done and dusted. Until they have signed on the line, and pulling the shirt on you can’t ever be sure.
</p>

<p>
	“But we have another offer in for a player that we hope will be in next week. I will be disappointed if he isn’t.
</p>

<p>
	“There are another couple of players who have gone away to make decisions on what we’ve put to them and hopefully they will be positive ones.”
