<p>
	Luke Williams gave a positive injury update on Notts County's Cedwyn Scott and Junior Morias before their Easter weekend games against Wealdstone and Wrexham. Scott has been absent for over two months, having suffered an injury during their win over Barnet. He later sustained another setback on his return to the first team, keeping him out since early February. Meanwhile, Morias has not played since arriving from Dagenham and Redbridge due to a slight injury problem.
</p>

<p>
	The absence of both players highlights the significance of Macaulay Langstaff, the National League's top scorer, who has netted 14 times in his last ten matches, including six consecutive games leading up to their game against Stuart Maynard's team. Langstaff broke a club record for the most goals in a league season away to Altrincham.
</p>

<p>
	However, with two games in four days, including a potential title-deciding match at the Racecourse Ground, the Notts head coach provided a positive update on both Scott and Morias ahead of the final five games of the season.
</p>

<p>
	"Of course, they will be important because, at the moment, Luke Williams told the Nottingham Post.
</p>

<p>
	"My anxiety is very high because Macaulay is on the pitch every minute - and as you know if he does the business he normally comes off.
</p>

<p>
	"I think he is very relieved to be picking up more minutes but of course as a head coach, you always worry about having the reinforcements and firepower to be able to sustain anything that might come our way.
</p>

<p>
	"It's great news to see both these guys out on the pitch and fully training with the squad.
</p>

<p>
	"We have a good idea of their conditioning, so it's great news for this period of the season, now it is going to be very important for us to have a healthy squad."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_04/articleimage.jpg.d5da336862c0b53d45d38d9895d9ab84.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Notts County's manager, Luke Williams, has cautioned fans against expecting a repeat of the scoreline from their earlier fixture at Grosvenor Vale as they prepare to host Wealdstone in the East Midlands this coming weekend.
</p>

<p>
	In October, the Magpies had dominated their game in northwest London, scoring six goals away from home for the first time since February 1924. Macaulay Langstaff, Adam Chicksen (2), Matty Palmer, Aaron Nemane, and Geraldo Bajrami were among the scorers in the one-sided match.
</p>

<p>
	However, Stuart Maynard's Wealdstone team has had a commendable campaign so far, being one of the few part-time teams in the league and vying for a play-off spot as they occupy 10th place, eight points behind Eastleigh. In their previous encounter, Maynard had admitted that the Notts squad assembled by Williams was the finest he had seen in the National League. Nevertheless, the Magpies' coach praised Maynard for the job he has done with his team this season.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams said: "Without a doubt, he has done a brilliant job because when you watch them you can clearly see the work unfolding in front of you on the pitch, and they have a different set-up to us, more challenging actually.
</p>

<p>
	"We are extremely well catered for and we know that and appreciate that and they have more challenges than ourselves, so really the work that Stuart has done there is excellent and of a very high level."
</p>

<p>
	The playing style adopted at Grosvenor Vale has been compared to Williams' method of patient, possession-based football with a counter-attacking ability. Wealdstone showcased their excellent footballing skills in their recent fixture against Oldham, with Sonny Blu Lo-Everton scoring the winner off an 18-pass move.
</p>

<p>
	Despite Notts County's impressive 6-0 win against Wealdstone earlier in the season, Williams has cautioned fans against assuming that the outcome of their upcoming fixture is already determined by the previous encounter.
</p>

<p>
	"There is a lot of respect and I think to put the game at their place into context, we started the game very well and were able to score goals early on.
</p>

<p>
	"The other thing we should remember from that game is that we scored goals that are very difficult to convert, so on a different day that would not have been the case.
</p>

<p>
	"It was almost like the perfect storm in terms of the way we started and in terms of taking difficult opportunities to score being converted, but everything fell into place for us and once you are in front very early, you have a different confidence and play with a different freedom, and we were able to be very dominant on the day.
</p>

<p>
	"We don't look at the game and think everything is going to be fine, or that this team are going to be easy to play against, we don't - we are not naïve enough to think that we were that good on the day that the result was inevitable.
</p>

<p>
	"It was a combination of us playing well and good fortune that gave us that great start, so we look at them and know this team is very well coached and are a very difficult model to play against and we know that."
</p>

<p>
	Notts County has declared that Jason Turner, a highly respected chief executive, passed away suddenly last night.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies employed Turner in 2016, and he aided the club in navigating a challenging period off the field. He was referred to as "an exceptional CEO who was respected throughout football" and had previously worked for Bath City, Newport County, Plymouth Argyle, and Cardiff City.
</p>

<p>
	The official Notts County website published a statement saying: "We are devastated to report the loss of our much-loved chief executive, Jason Turner.
</p>

<p>
	"Jason, who passed away suddenly last night, was appointed in 2016 and devoted himself to the club thereafter. He was an outstanding CEO who was respected across football.
</p>

<p>
	"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time."
</p>

<p>
	A statement from his parents, Jen and David, read: "Words cannot express our sadness following the loss of our dear son, Jason. We understand that his colleagues and many, many friends share this emotion. While we come to terms with this news, we request that our family's privacy be respected."
</p>

<p>
	We at the Pride of Nottingham would like to extend our deepest condolences to everyone at the club and to the family and friends of Jason Turner. The sudden loss of such a highly respected and dedicated Chief Executive is a profound shock to all of us.
</p>

<p>
	Jason was a true visionary leader who devoted himself to the club and helped navigate it through a challenging period. His hard work and dedication will always be remembered and his contribution to the club's success will never be forgotten.
</p>

<p>
	We understand the sorrow and grief that the Notts County family is feeling during this difficult time, and we would like to offer our support in any way we can. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you come to terms with the loss of a beloved colleague and friend.
</p>

<p>
	May the legacy of Jason Turner continue to inspire and guide the club towards a brighter future.
</p>

<p>
	Rest in peace, Jason.

<p>
	Notts County boss Luke Williams is facing a 'good' problem ahead of the National League clash against Altrincham on Tuesday. During Saturday's win over Scunthorpe, Williams was forced to make an early change following an incident involving Sam Slocombe. As a result, Archie Mair, who arrived on loan from Norwich City in January, was introduced for his league debut. With Tiernan Brooks away on international duty with the Republic of Ireland under-21s, Mair impressed with his composure in possession.
</p>

<p>
	Despite Slocombe's injury, Williams was able to provide an encouraging update on his fitness. Speaking ahead of Tuesday's game, the Magpies manager revealed that the keeper had suffered an impact injury rather than a twist or tear. Williams added that Slocombe was experiencing discomfort but expressed confidence that the muscle would be relaxed enough to do its job and not remain contracted throughout.
</p>

<p>
	As Notts County head to Altrincham, Williams may have to decide between Slocombe and Mair in the goalkeeper position. The Magpies are currently second in the National League table, three points behind Wrexham who have a game in hand. A victory over Altrincham could see them go top of the league, but Williams will need to make the right decision regarding his team selection to achieve this.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams said: "Sam's in discomfort, but it is not a twist or a tear, it is an impact injury, so we have to feel confident that the muscle is relaxed enough and it can do its job and not stay contracted the whole time.
</p>

<p>
	"We have a bit more time with that so we will see how he goes, but fortunately it was not a break or a tear. We will have to do a fitness test tomorrow and see where we are then."
</p>

<p>
	With three goalkeepers having been utilized in Notts' previous two National League fixtures, Williams is currently faced with the daunting task of selecting his starting goalkeeper for the upcoming match tomorrow.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies' boss must weigh up the performances of all three shot-stoppers in order to determine the best candidate for the job. This has undoubtedly posed a significant selection headache for Williams, as he must choose wisely in order to secure a victory against their upcoming opponents.
</p>

<p>
	"It is only good problems, Sam has played consistently well over the course of the season and Tiernan has gone in and done incredibly well, and then I thought Archie also did well at the weekend. Williams added,
</p>

<p>
	"It is the perfect problem for me and I need to weigh up all things now and try to pick the most sensible decision and the one that is in the best moment to play the game - and that will be the one that goes in."
</p>

<p>
	Following their win over Scunthorpe on Saturday, Connell Rawlinson praised Archie Mair's impressive performance, despite challenging circumstances. This sentiment was echoed by Notts County boss, Luke Williams.
</p>

<p>
	"His first action was a big one, I think everyone in the ground took a gasp because he made a really big action to get us through the first press, and after that, he showed a good range of passing - he dropped some balls into the guys on the outside and on the angles and into the guys in midfield.
</p>

<p>
	"He was able to open the game up like we want all of the guys to be able to that when they see opportunities to play right to the top of the pitch, he showed everything and it was a good display of what he has got."
</p>

<p>
	Notts County boss, Luke Williams, received some relief in the defensive department with the return of Richard Brindley to the matchday squad for the first time since January. This comes as the club enters the final six games of the National League season.
</p>

<p>
	However, Jodi Jones is expected to miss the upcoming game against Altrincham due to his participation in Malta's 2-0 Euro 2024 qualifier defeat against Italy. On a positive note, Williams was able to give updates on Cedwyn Scott and new signing Junior Morias, indicating they are close to making a return to action.
</p>

<p>
	Williams said: "Junior joined in with the whole group today for the first time and did some conditioning after to get closer to where he needs to be.
</p>

<p>
	"Cedwyn worked really hard today in conditioning to try and get him closer and closer, so the fact that both out on the grass and not inside in the gym is a great sign."
</p>

<p>
	After tomorrow's match, Notts County will enjoy an 11-day break before their next National League fixture against Wealdstone at Meadow Lane. The Magpies will then face a crucial top-of-the-table clash with Wrexham on Bank Holiday Monday.

<p>
	Meadow Lane is the perfect stage for Notts County, according to their manager, Luke Williams. The team is gearing up for their upcoming Community Day, which is expected to draw yet another massive crowd. This Saturday, they will host Scunthorpe United, who are currently on the opposite end of the National League table. Despite Jimmy Dean's team's impressive 4-1 victory over Wealdstone last week, they remain four points behind safety with only eight games left in their season. Meanwhile, Notts County is still in contention for the automatic promotion spot, but their aspirations took a hit during their previous encounter with fellow promotion hopefuls, Barnet, resulting in a draw.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the setback, the Magpies head coach is looking forward to another thrilling match at Meadow Lane, with the added excitement of a potential sell-out crowd. The club's successful Community Day incentive, which offers discounted tickets to fans, has helped to sell over 13,000 tickets. However, Williams recognizes that Scunthorpe United will present a different challenge than their previous meeting earlier this season.
</p>

<p>
	As they prepare for this weekend's game, Notts County's manager, Luke Williams, emphasised the significance of Meadow Lane, where they will host Scunthorpe United. With the club's Community Day approaching, another bumper crowd is expected to attend. Despite Jimmy Dean's side's impressive win over Wealdstone, they remain four points from safety, with only eight games left in their season. Meanwhile, Notts County is still in contention for the automatic promotion spot, but their title aspirations took a hit in their previous match against Barnet, resulting in a draw.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams said: "They have got everything to play for, as have we, there is not a better setting to play football, certainly in the division, and with this crowd, it is going to be really special.
</p>

<p>
	"It is difficult for me to know as it is a team we have not played because they have so many new players
</p>

<p>
	"so the previous time we played Scunthorpe is irrelevant to us so now we are actually playing a team for the first time at this late stage in the season which is remarkable.
</p>

<p>
	"We know that it is going to be a tough challenge, but we have to be ready to face all of these challenges and strong enough to try and impose ourselves on the game."
</p>

<p>
	The club has organized a minute's applause in the 17th minute during the Community Day festivities to honour Owen Newton, a Scunthorpe United fan who passed away on Monday.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County's manager was present to express his condolences to the 17-year-old's family. He was confident that those in attendance would carry out the applause impeccably, thereby commemorating Owen's life.
</p>

<p>
	"It's just awful, but the one thing I am sure of is that the reception at Meadow Lane will be brilliant.
</p>

<p>
	"It will be delivered perfectly, I have no doubt - and what a great place to have the game and have so many people to show respect in that way.
</p>

<p>
	"I really hope it's a good moment for the family, the situation is just awful and we look forward to showing our support."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_03/articleimage.jpg.1b63eecf336498f6651f644f6b1d9550.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Andy Morrell is of the opinion that Notts County has helped Wrexham produce their best performance this season, which could lead them to break a club record for most points in a single season. Morrell was in charge of Wrexham when they narrowly missed out on winning the National League title in the 2011-12 season to Fleetwood Town, despite achieving their highest-ever points tally of 98. However, with 91 points already secured from 37 matches, Phil Parkinson's side is on track to surpass that record.
</p>

<p>
	Although Wrexham is currently one point ahead of Notts County, who have a game in hand, the title race is far from over, with County in contention for automatic promotion. Despite Wrexham's unbeaten streak of 25 league games, County recently managed to come back from behind to secure a 3-1 victory over Eastleigh. With nine games left, the fate of the title is still undecided, but Wrexham's strong performances so far this season put them in an excellent position to secure the title.
</p>

<p>
	Morrell believes that the rivalry between Wrexham and Notts County has inspired his former team to produce their best form this season, as they aim to surpass their previous highest points tally. Having gained 91 points already, they are in a good position to achieve this feat. However, with Notts County hot on their heels and still in contention for the title, the final outcome is not a foregone conclusion. Nonetheless, Wrexham's unbeaten run of 25 games should provide them with the confidence to secure the title.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to the leaderlive.co.uk, the former Reds player and manager said: "We can only worry about ourselves, we can’t worry what they are doing."
</p>

<p>
	"I think the number of points Wrexham have got is because of Notts County. Wrexham have had to keep winning to be able to stay right in there so both of them have pushed each other to this ridiculous amount of points that they’ve both got, and could get.
</p>

<p>
	"Wrexham have already surpassed the amount of goals they scored last year, they have already got more points than last year, and with nine games to go that is ridiculous.
</p>

<p>
	"I can’t see anything other than Wrexham getting out of this league this year.”
</p>

<p>
	On Tuesday, the Magpies managed to overcome Eastleigh by 3-1 despite initially being behind.
</p>

<p>
	As a result, they are now only one point behind the Reds, who have a game in hand. Wrexham, who have gone undefeated for 25 consecutive league games, have the fate of the title in their own hands, and their former coach Morrell is confident that they will successfully conclude their campaign.
</p>

<p>
	"It is just about wins now, Wrexham just got over the line, although they did have the better chances and Southend didn’t create a great deal.
</p>

<p>
	"You have got to find a way to win and they did that.
</p>

<p>
	"It wasn’t pretty, it wasn’t the free-flowing football that you are used to here, the goals and the mauling’s they have given out to some teams, but they dug in and got through it; that is all that matters."

<p>
	Notts County has announced the signing of Junior Morias, a forward from Dagenham and Redbridge, as they continue to strengthen their attacking options. Morias has signed a three-year deal at Meadow Lane for an undisclosed fee, and despite currently being sidelined with a short-term injury, the club has confirmed that he is a vital part of their long-term plans.
</p>

<p>
	Morias joins Notts County with an impressive record of 13 goals in his debut season and an additional 10 goals so far this campaign at Dagenham and Redbridge. The 27-year-old Jamaica-born forward's signing reinforces the club's commitment to building a competitive team capable of securing future success.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County boss, Luke Williams, has emphasized that Morias will be given the time and support he needs to adapt to the physical and mental demands of playing at Meadow Lane. With his speed and skill, the forward is expected to make a significant impact on the team's fortunes, and his proven goal-scoring record suggests that he will become a valuable asset for the Magpies.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams, provided a statement regarding the team's recent developments to the Nottingham Post, Williams discussed: "As with any new signing, once Junior’s recovered he’ll need to get up to speed with the pressing and key actions we expect from our front guys, all that will come in time."
</p>

<p>
	"Our first priority is to get him back to fitness and adjusting to the intensity - we’ve got brilliant medical staff here who’ll ensure he’s on the best course once we’ve fully assessed where he is."
</p>

<p>
	In recent months, Notts County has demonstrated their clear ambition to secure promotion by making several key signings. Among these additions are Connor Lemonheigh-Evans and Jodi Jones, who have bolstered the team's attacking options. The manager, Luke Williams, has expressed his belief that Junior Morias, the latest signing from Dagenham and Redbridge, possesses the necessary skills to make a valuable contribution to the club's forward line.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County's commitment to building a competitive team capable of achieving success has been evident in their recent transfer activity. With the addition of Morias, who has an impressive record of 23 goals in 66 appearances for Dagenham and Redbridge, the club is further strengthening their attacking options. Williams has emphasized that the forward's speed and skill make him a valuable asset and is confident that he will adapt quickly to the demands of playing for Notts County.
</p>

<p>
	"He’s got the key traits we’re looking for as a professional, including the desire to do the hard yards.
</p>

<p>
	"Junior will play in different positions for us in a similar way to Cedwyn Scott and Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, so he gives us more options and different qualities in our attacking line-up.
</p>

<p>
	"He adds tremendous power, pace and aggression and we’ll hopefully provide plenty of opportunities for him to continue his goalscoring form. He’ll then have a chance to show us how ruthless he can be."
</p>

<p>
	The reports circulating online regarding Junior Morias being in attendance to watch Notts County's win over Eastleigh turned out to be true. The club invited the 27-year-old to observe their 3-1 victory over Lee Bradbury's side on Tuesday evening after agreeing on a fee with Dagenham.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies' decision to invite Morias to watch their match is a clear indication of their interest in signing the forward. The club is keen to strengthen their attacking options, and Morias' presence at the match suggests that negotiations are at an advanced stage. The 27-year-old's attendance also indicates his interest in joining Notts County, and he may be looking to assess the team's playing style and potential before committing to a move.
</p>

<p>
	"I was blown away,” said Notts' new recruit, who played against Williams' side for the Daggers in their 5-0 home defeat and 2-1 away win earlier in the month.
</p>

<p>
	"Playing against Notts is one thing but watching is another. Particularly in the second half, you could see the quality – the boys kicked on to another level.
</p>

<p>
	"In the games I played against Notts this season, it felt like we were up against 15 men. We couldn’t get close to anyone.
</p>

<p>
	"The boys are second-to-none – the way they flow, the way the centre back drives out with the ball. It’s hard to combat.
</p>

<p>
	"I’m excited to be part of the group and believe we can go on and achieve our number-one goal."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_03/articleimage.jpg.600251c3cb08d1cb0b9be9f9b7d73dc3.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Two years ago, Adam Chicksen appeared to be on his way out of Notts County. However, offering him an extended one-year contract has turned out to be a brilliant decision. The 31-year-old full-back has been a crucial player for the Magpies this season, scoring a career-best of 10 goals as he helps the team push towards its goal of returning to its former glory.
</p>

<p>
	In any intense season, consistency is essential. Chicksen has been the epitome of that, demonstrating his value by being one of the first names on the team sheet for coach Luke Williams. But it's not just his on-pitch performances that have made him so valuable. His influence off the field has also been significant, something that both the fans and the Magpies chief have recognized.
</p>

<p>
	Chicksen's importance to Notts County cannot be overstated. His impact on the team's success this season has been immense, and he has proven himself to be a valuable asset both on and off the pitch. With his talent and dedication, there's no doubt that Chicksen will continue to be a crucial player for the Magpies for years to come.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams spoke to Nottingham Post, he said: "He is the model pro, he has been so important because of the performances on the pitch."
</p>

<p>
	"Look at the goals he has scored, match-winning goals at times, but then look at the way he runs back to protect the goal like his life depends on it, the way he defends the far post when there are sustained spells of pressure.
</p>

<p>
	"Then the bits people are not likely to see is the way he concentrates in the meetings we have. He delivers meetings better than I do; it's embarrassing.
</p>

<p>
	"But he is the example and the shining light of how to behave and how to apply yourself day in, day out over a long period of time.
</p>

<p>
	"He is amazing - he is the kind of package of how we want people to respect the job of being a player for Notts County.
</p>

<p>
	"And many players are in that mould, but Chicks is a great example of that, a top example."
</p>

<p>
	Currently, Chicksen and Matty Palmer are the only two players who have appeared in all 37 games of the National League season. This comes after Sam Slocombe and Kyle Cameron missed recent games against Bromley and Dorking Wanderers. While their absence has been felt, Chicksen's consistent presence has been crucial for Notts County, especially in the defensive area.
</p>

<p>
	Unfortunately, injuries to Richard Brindley and Tobi Adebayo-Rowling have made the defensive area a cause for concern in recent weeks. Additionally, the confirmed departure of Joel Taylor has further limited Williams' options in defence. With all of these factors in play, Chicksen's continued presence and reliability will be even more critical in the Magpies' quest for success in the remainder of the season.

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_03/articleimage.jpg.a70f2de64b7732c6ce0ead1d52cf85ce.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Notts County manager, Luke Williams, believes that allowing Joel Taylor to leave was the right decision as it allows the team to focus on their remaining nine games. Taylor left the club as his contract was mutually terminated in an attempt to obtain regular first-team football elsewhere. Taylor had a strong start to the season, scoring a goal in Notts' opening-day victory, but his playing time dwindled, leading to a loan to Dagenham and Redbridge.
</p>

<p>
	Williams hinted at a potential return for Taylor by naming him as a substitute for two games, but ultimately that never materialised.
</p>

<p>
	The manager explained that Taylor had experienced a difficult time during his stay at Meadow Lane, which may have contributed to his departure. Ultimately, the decision to let Taylor go was seen as necessary to allow the team to concentrate on their remaining fixtures.
</p>

<p>
	In an interview with the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams stated:  "Joel we know has real talent, he has a cannon of a left foot and can put the ball wherever he wants, but there were times in transition mainly.
</p>

<p>
	"It's important for me to say he had a tough time with me. I demand a lot from him and all of the players, and the guy we just spoke about in Adam Chicksen really makes it difficult because he is so intense and so deliberate with everything he does, he is there every minute of every single day.
</p>

<p>
	"When you are up against that type of competition, it's challenging because you have to match that bare minimum before that quality can shine through.
</p>

<p>
	"He went on loan to get more game time and started well there, then had a bit of a tough time and didn't play as many minutes as he wanted to play, and then when he returned to County, we are in a great place, and it was such tough competition with so many players playing well." Williams added.
</p>

<p>
	In November, it was announced that Joel Taylor had joined Dagenham and Redbridge on a two-month loan. During that time, he featured in all six games. Taylor extended his stay at Victoria Road for an additional month. However, he struggled to secure regular first-team appearances during his second spell, only making one substitute appearance in the following six games before returning to Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	"He expressed his desire to go and try and kickstart his career again, and when a guy has been really good and behaving and wanting to set the tone that if you come in and apply yourself and be a good pro even if you're having a bad time, that is what is expected of you.
</p>

<p>
	"If you do that then I try to help, yes we have left ourselves a little bit short on numbers, but it was the right thing to do at the right moment because we want everyone focused for this run in, and it was becoming increasingly more difficult for Joel to do that."

<p>
	Notts County manager Luke Williams was pleased with Geraldo Bajrami's performance in their 3-1 victory over Dorking Wanderers. Despite a difficult first half in their previous game, the Albanian player retained his spot in the starting lineup due to the absence of skipper Kyle Cameron.
</p>

<p>
	Bajrami, part of the back three, displayed composure alongside Rawlinson and Chicksen. He commanded his area well and relieved pressure from Marc White's side during the second half.
</p>

<p>
	Williams said that Geraldo Bajrami's performance was one of the highlights of the game. It's clear that his performance helped Notts County win the game.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams commented on Bajrami's performance, stating: "I think that's the most pleasing thing for me, the resilience that he has, that is the most pleasing thing for me - he was fantastic, and I am so happy for him.
</p>

<p>
	"I have had some difficult conversations with Baj in recent weeks and I can't wait to have an easy one as soon as he is back in for training."
</p>

<p>
	Notts County faced a predicament when their captain was unavailable for the match against Dorking, with Luke Williams having to find a suitable replacement for the armband ahead of a crucial game in their promotion campaign. Matty Palmer had previously worn the armband during the FA Trophy, but Williams decided to appoint Macaulay Langstaff as the stand-in skipper for the Meadow Lane fixture.
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff's performance during the game was impressive, with his two goals bringing his season total to 35 with nine matches remaining. His excellent display may even lead to him asking to keep the captaincy, as he helped inspire his team to a vital comeback victory.
</p>

<p>
	Williams explained his decision to name Langstaff as the captain for the evening, stating: "First of all, I go into the changing rooms because we had news about Kyle Cameron this morning and I said Macca you are going to lead the team out.
</p>

<p>
	"He went bright red and looked down to the floor and embarrassed like he shouldn't lead the team out - and then I said you are everything we are trying to do.
</p>

<p>
	"You are committed, never get carried away, and don't have a big ego and that is what the guy is and today is yet another example of everything good about him."

<p>
	When asked about extending his stay at Meadow Lane, Kyle Cameron, the captain of Notts County, praised the coaching skills of Luke Williams, stating that finding a better coach would be a challenge.
</p>

<p>
	Cameron, who joined the Magpies from Torquay United two years ago, has played an integral role in Notts' two previous playoff campaigns. He is one of nine players at the club whose contracts will expire this summer, alongside Ruben Rodrigues, Aaron Nemane, and Adam Chicksen.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County has demonstrated their commitment to the future by offering midfielder Matty Palmer a new contract, indicating that the club has plans in place. However, Cameron stressed that his focus is solely on the present season and the team's push for promotion with only ten games remaining. Despite his desire to remain beyond his current contract, he is determined to concentrate on the task at hand and help the team achieve their objectives.
</p>

<p>
	Given Notts County's playoff aspirations this season, Cameron's leadership and experience will be crucial in the remaining fixtures. As the club faces tough decisions about players whose contracts are set to expire, including Cameron, it remains to be seen if the Magpies will be able to secure his services for the long-term.
</p>

<p>
	In an interview with the Nottingham Post, Kyle Cameron stated: "Yes, things have been discussed, but for me, I have said that I will leave my agent to deal with that stuff - I am here to concentrate on the football.
</p>

<p>
	"We have ten massive games coming up and for me, it is about focusing on that and not messing about and trying to sort out contracts - if we get promoted it will be a lot easier to sit down and talk about a new contract with the staff here, but for now I am leaving that to my agent until the football is done and dusted and then move my attention to that.
</p>

<p>
	"The last two years have been amazing, especially with the gaffer coming in this season I feel like he has improved me a lot and is probably the best coach I have worked with in my career so far and I think it will be a tough ask to find someone better than him, even higher up in the divisions.
</p>

<p>
	"Of course, I am enjoying my time here - we have a promotion push going this season and I hope we can get that over the line to get the club back where it should be."
</p>

<p>
	The 26-year-old Kyle Cameron has been a key player for Notts County this season, having featured in 36 of their league games so far, which is a feat that only two other players on the squad have accomplished. However, their latest game against Bromley ended in a 1-1 draw on Saturday, and the hosts deservedly led at halftime due to Adam Marriott's penalty. Despite the risk of playing with an altered formation, the decision did not pay off.
</p>

<p>
	When asked about the reason for the difficult opening exchanges, Cameron commented that it could have been due to the formation, but he also acknowledged that the beginning of games can be challenging as teams are fresh and have more energy. He noted that the difference in energy levels was evident from the first kick of the second half, as the hosts dropped off and tried to defend their lead.

<p>
	With a chance of promotion to the Football League, Notts County is having a successful season in the National League under the guidance of a new head coach, Luke Williams, and a group of talented players who work well together.
</p>

<p>
	The club's success can also be attributed to the use of data in its transfer activities, which resulted in the signing of players like Macaulay Langstaff, who has scored 32 goals within the league so far this season. While no one predicted his success, the club had high expectations for Langstaff and other summer signings.
</p>

<p>
	The club's progress this season has been commendable, regardless of the promotion outcome. The coaching staff and players have worked tirelessly to make strides, and the club's fanbase has grown exponentially. The club is optimistic about the future and eagerly anticipates the next season, with high aspirations of competing in League Two.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham, Notts County co-owner Alexander Reedtz said: "It can quickly go one way or another, I think, but I think there's a high chance that it will be decided very, very late in the season, so it's exciting times."
</p>

<p>
	"I think the major change is a new head coach, and Luke has done a brilliant job with the players, and that is certainly a big factor in why we've done so well this year.
</p>

<p>
	"We've just got a really good group of players who work well together and enjoy playing together, and there's a really good atmosphere in the team at the moment and, we have signed some really good players, some new players that we added before this season as well."
</p>

<p>
	In June 2022, Notts County secured the signature of Macaulay Langstaff, the National League North top scorer and Player of the Season.
</p>

<p>
	The 25-year-old forward signed a three-year contract and has been in impressive form, earning back-to-back National League Player of the Month awards in August and September.
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff's arrival at Meadow Lane followed the signing of right wing-back Tobi Adebayo-Rowling and the departure of forward Elisha Sam. His performances have not gone unnoticed, with four Championship clubs reportedly expressing interest in him during the January transfer window.
</p>

<p>
	"It's well known that there's a lot of data utilized in Notts County's transfer activity." stated Alexander Reedtz.
</p>

<p>
	"I don't think any of us predicted he would score this many goals this season. Probably no one did, but we had a great feeling about that signing and the other signings as well that we made in the summer.
</p>

<p>
	"I'm not going to say we expected exactly this to happen. It's hard to predict, but we had high expectations and we were really confident about his ability and that he could do well in this team where there's a lot of other good players who would serve him with some good passes as well.
</p>

<p>
	"But yeah, it's hard to predict a player scoring that many goals. The big goal is to get promoted and that's what we all want, everyone in the club is working towards and we're confident that we can hopefully achieve that.
</p>

<p>
	"It has been a really good season so far and clearly the best season we've had since Chris and I came to the club in 2019 and we are confident about the progress
</p>

<p>
	"We're confident about the next season, no matter which league we'll be in, but we obviously hope that it will be League Two and I think the club deserves that, so hopefully we achieve it."
</p>

<p>
	Williams, bolstered his squad with the acquisition of midfielder Connor Lemonheigh-Evans back in February in his bid to strengthen the squad ahead of the final run of games.
</p>

<p>
	With the Notts Head Coach stressing the importance of versatility in his team and believes that Lemonheigh-Evans' ability to play in multiple roles will be a valuable asset to Notts County.

<p>
	Despite a positive display from Tiernan Brooks on his league debut over the weekend, Luke Williams has indicated that Notts County are still in the market for a potential new goalkeeper.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies were compelled to fill the void left by their regular number one, Sam Slocombe, after he picked up a hamstring injury during training for their trip to Hayes Lane, which could leave him on the sidelines for several weeks.
</p>

<p>
	With on-loan goalkeeper Archie Mair from Norwich City among the substitutes, the 20-year-old Brooks was selected after featuring for Hednesford Town and Boston United during two loan spells this season.
</p>

<p>
	Brooks was called into action just eight minutes into the game at Bromley, when Geraldo Bajrami was caught on the wrong side of Corey Whitely, and Brooks was tasked with the challenge of saving the spot-kick. Slocombe is yet to achieve this feat in a Notts shirt, with Adam Marriott stepping up to take the penalty after scoring from 12 yards in the Raven's previous match against Torquay.
</p>

<p>
	Brooks saved the penalty with his legs, much to the delight of the 645 travelling Magpies fans to his right. However, he was forced to try and repeat his heroics ten minutes later after being adjudged to have brought down a Bromley player inside the area. Marriott made no mistake this time and sent Brooks the wrong way.
</p>

<p>
	Despite an action-packed debut which was almost cut short after a momentary lapse in concentration saw him avoid a second booking, Notts boss Williams expressed his satisfaction with the 20-year-old's performance.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams, Notts County Head Coach said:  "I think he did very well, I did think there would be moments in the game that would be difficult for him and of course you expect that and I think there was one action where he took a little too long with the ball - other than that I think he played very well.
</p>

<p>
	"He distributed the ball very well, made some big saves, and commanded the box well, so I am happy with him."
</p>

<p>
	Although Brooks put in a positive performance, it was disclosed after the game that the Notts manager was looking to strengthen his goalkeeping options, even though he already had Canaries loanee Archie Mair on his team.
</p>

<p>
	"In terms of goalkeepers, we are going to look at the options that we already have. Tiernan gave a great performance I think in my opinion."
</p>

<p>
	"So he has given us hope that he has a bright future with us - but we also need to look at whether someone can come in.
</p>

<p>
	"It's a big moment in the season and we have a number of goalkeepers we are looking at."

<p>
	Macaulay Langstaff's outstanding performance for Notts County this season has earned him a spot in the provisional England C squad for their upcoming match against Wales later this month.
</p>

<p>
	The game will be held at J.Davidson Stadium in Altrincham on Tuesday, March 21, just four days prior to the Magpies' game against Scunthorpe United at Meadow Lane in the National League.
</p>

<p>
	The final 16-man squad will be announced by Paul Fairclough after next week's league fixtures. Meanwhile, Luke Williams' team will face Dorking Wanderers in the late kick-off next Saturday.
</p>

<p>
	Each club in the National League has one player included in the initial 25-man selection, with Sam Dalby from Wrexham and James Daly from Woking also named in the provisional squad.
</p>

<p>
	The England squad comprises the best players in non-league football, and Langstaff's impressive 33 goals this season have been recognized as he continues to lead the way in the fifth tier's Golden Boot race.
</p>

<p>
	Several current and former Notts players have been included in the squad in recent seasons, such as Richard Brindley and Matty Palmer, who were part of the team that lost 4-0 to Wales last year, along with former Magpies player Cal Roberts. The full squad is as follows:
</p>

<p>
	Goalkeepers:<br>
	Sam Howes (Wealdstone), Magnus Norman (Oldham Athletic), Harrison Male (Worthing).<br>
	<br>
	Defenders:<br>
	Tyler Cordner (Aldershot), Vince Harper (Eastleigh), Harry Phipps (Dagenham &amp; Redbridge), Kenton Richardson (Gateshead), Dan Gallagher (Dorking Wanderers), Jesse Debrah (FC Halifax Town).<br>
	<br>
	Midfielders:<br>
	Josh Lundstram (Altrincham), Darren Oldaker (Chesterfield), James Daly (Woking), Ryan De Havilland (Barnet), Regan Booty (Maidstone United), Matty Worthington (Yeovil Town), James Vennings (Bromley), Gus Scott-Morriss (Southend United), Olly Dyson (York City).<br>
	<br>

<p>
	Notts County midfielder Ed Francis has officially joined Gateshead, a fellow National League team, for the remainder of the season, as confirmed by the club. The 23-year-old, who signed from Harrogate in 2021, has played in just 13 games for the Magpies this season, and only featured once in the past 11 league games.
</p>

<p>
	Since John Bostock's arrival in December 2022, Francis has been relegated to a lower spot in the midfield hierarchy. In his pursuit for more regular playing time, Francis has moved to Gateshead to assist Mike Williamson's team in their bid for National League survival.
</p>

<p>
	Francis' loan deal with Gateshead provides him with an opportunity to contribute to a team that is fighting for their league position. By playing more frequently, he can further develop his skills as a midfielder and increase his chances of being a valuable player for his team in the future.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County head coach Luke Williams said: "Ed has applied himself brilliantly every single day. He's been starved of opportunity for one reason or another, but he has tremendous qualities both as a player and person.
</p>

<p>
	"I've worked with players who you just want to see go because they don't contribute positively to the group. That's not Ed at all.
</p>

<p>
	"But he's expressed a need for more regular football, and I've reluctantly supported that.
</p>

<p>
	"I would much rather have Ed here than send him somewhere that didn't suit him just to get him out of the building.
</p>

<p>
	"Gateshead are a club I like a lot, with a brilliant manager and staff, as well as a style of play that suits Ed's game. It's the right thing to do, and we wish him well."
</p>

<p>
	Ed Francis is now eligible to play for Gateshead in their upcoming match against Chesterfield at the Gateshead International Stadium. He will be playing alongside Quevin Castro, a former Notts loanee who also joined the club in January following the end of his loan spell at Meadow Lane. The 21-year-old is expected to be a valuable addition to the team.
</p>

<p>
	With Francis' arrival, Gateshead's midfield will be strengthened, and his partnership with Castro will provide the team with a stronger attacking force. The two players will undoubtedly contribute to Gateshead's efforts to secure their National League survival, and their presence on the pitch will be welcomed by their teammates and fans alike.

<p>
	Notts County boss Luke Williams has emphasized the significance of mentality in recent weeks following his team's defeat against Dagenham and Redbridge. As they prepare for a challenging game against promotion-chasing Bromley in Greater London, Notts County will need to exhibit mental toughness to bounce back from their loss.
</p>

<p>
	Bromley, who recently defeated Torquay, are in good form and are just two points away from securing a playoff position. Unfortunately, Notts County has not had much luck at Hayes Lane since being relegated to the National League, losing all three of their last visits by a one-goal margin. However, this season has seen Notts County break their losing streak at several away grounds, including Eastleigh and Torquay.
</p>

<p>
	Despite this, following their second defeat of the season against Dagenham &amp; Redbridge at Meadow Lane last Saturday, the next few weeks will be crucial in determining the strength of Notts County's mindset and mentality. Williams is eager to return to winning ways and regain their position at the top of the National League table.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams explained that, "At this point now, it becomes so much about mentality, it really does."
</p>

<p>
	"I believe that we have always bounced back well from a setback, we have only had the one defeat that we have had to deal with, but we have had games I am sure you will agree that have felt like a defeat.
</p>

<p>
	"Games that we have drawn that we have been leading - that gives you that very similar sinking feeling of a defeat, but now we have a real defeat that we have to deal with, and we now have to show as a group now the mentality that we have and see if we can bounce back immediately with a good performance and a good result."
</p>

<p>
	One of the draws that felt like a defeat for Notts County was against their upcoming opponents, where Michael Cheek's header cancelled out Adam Chicksen's opener during a frustrating evening at Meadow Lane in November.
</p>

<p>
	Like many visiting teams this season, Andy Woodman's team aimed to disrupt the game's flow, particularly after equalizing and settling for a point. Although Williams praised Bromley's playing style, he outlined his expectations for the upcoming match and how his side plans to counter the Ravens' threat to secure a crucial victory at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	"I feel like we should have scored almost immediately after the first goal when Macaulay hit the crossbar, and I felt as though that was the point in the game that would have probably gone away from Bromley - as good as they are we would have probably been able to control the rest of the game more comfortably.
</p>

<p>
	"Of course, it is a very obvious thing to say, but we have to take our chances against this side because they're mean, and they won't give us too many so when they do come along we have to take them.
</p>

<p>
	"They are brilliant at managing the game in the way that they want to manage the game, they are very smart, so we need to try and take ownership of the game as much as we can because the two sides don't particularly prefer each other's styles.
</p>

<p>
	"But that is what makes it a great contest because they are very good at what they do, and we are very good at what we do, but there are quite contrasting differences between the two, and we have a lot of respect for what they do, but on the day we have to take as much control as we can."

<p>
	The latest event of the Notts County Foundation has been described, highlighting the excellent work they are doing within the local community. This comes ahead of a busy month for the charity.
</p>

<p>
	During the Magpies' record-breaking National League match against Yeovil F.C. In November, fans were given the chance to buy tickets for a person in need, as part of the club's 'Football for a Fiver' campaign. Almost 400 tickets were sold.
</p>

<p>
	The foundation's current fundraising efforts are aimed at developing the Portland Centre. The centre is located just a short distance away from Meadow Lane. This centre has been providing much-needed support to those in the local community. It offers a wide range of excellent sporting facilities and is open to all.
</p>

<p>
	The foundation is focused on using physical activity to transform the health and wellbeing of local people. Its staff have vast experience working with diverse groups of all ages, abilities, and disabilities.
</p>

<p>
	They provide physical activities and sports coaching across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, working with thousands of people each year.
</p>

<p>
	On Thursday, March 2nd, the foundation will be hosting an exclusive screening evening for business representatives and industry professionals.
</p>

<p>
	This event aims to raise awareness and launch fundraising efforts towards the development of the current Portland Centre facilities. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the Best British Short Film documentary ‘Centred’.<br>

<p>
	Notts County's manager, Luke Williams, said that the midweek break will be a good break for his team, because they have been fighting for the National League title. The Magpies suffered their second defeat of the season against Dagenham and Redbridge in a surprise victory over the league leaders on Saturday evening. Inih Effiong, a former Notts player, scored a late goal that sealed the triumph for the visitors.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the defeat at Meadow Lane, Williams' team had an impressive performance in the league, winning their previous seven games and maintaining an unbeaten streak of 25 matches since mid-September. The Magpies have shown consistency and determination throughout the season, which has helped them remain at the top of the league table.
</p>

<p>
	The break in the schedule will provide Notts County with a chance to recharge and refocus ahead of their upcoming matches. The team's strong form in the league indicates that they are still one of the top contenders for the National League title, and Williams will be keen to ensure that his players remain motivated and prepared for the challenges ahead.
</p>

<p>
	"We have to work on the training pitch because we have new players still in our squad," explained Williams.
</p>

<p>
	"Jodi [Jones] is still new to the group and to the work, and of course, Connor is now in that same position so we have to try to help them understand every single detail and every single action that we try to play.
</p>

<p>
	"We have to make sure every one of our players is in the right physical condition, so they can be prepared for another tough game."
</p>

<p>
	Williams' disappointment was clear on his face. He said he had a lot of emotions and called his feelings as "gutting", even though he knew his team did well during the night.
</p>

<p>
	Following the defeat at Meadow Lane, Williams expressed that the end of an unbeaten streak marks the beginning of a new one. He is determined to shift his focus towards bouncing back from the loss.
</p>

<p>
	"That is not strong enough to feel gutted and let that affect you, we have to be disappointed of course, but now we have to focus on putting that right - that is the challenge now.
</p>

<p>
	"We have only lost a game once this season, and we had to bounce back after that one, now we have to do the same.
</p>

<p>
	"It would be easier if we played and got completely outplayed, and maybe you can accept that result.
</p>

<p>
	"But it's difficult to lose, and to lose in a game where we did so many things to be able to put the game safely out of reach for the opposition is difficult to accept, but that's football."

<p>
	Magpies' manager Luke Williams has stated that Notts County striker Macaulay Langstaff has proven his worth by being the first player in England's top five leagues to score 30 goals this season.
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff's hat-trick against Yeovil made him only the third Notts player in 73 years to achieve this feat. Langstaff has been likened to Manchester City's Erling Haaland this season and dubbed the "non-league Haaland" for matching his accomplishments.
</p>

<p>
	Williams praised Langstaff, stating that "He's just brilliant" and that "It's pretty impressive, and he deserves it because he has scored every type of goal."
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff scored the opening goal against Yeovil in the fourth minute on Saturday. However, it took two injury-time goals from Langstaff and a late penalty from Ruben Rodrigues to win the game.
</p>

<p>
	His two goals in the 94th and 95th minute marked his 30th goal of the season, with 13 league games remaining.
</p>

<p>
	Williams jokingly remarked that he would have preferred Langstaff to score earlier so that he could have been substituted. However, he praised the striker's performance, stating that "He was fantastic and that is why you leave him on the pitch when it's tight, because in the blink of an eye, he can change a game."
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff stated that he was "buzzing" to reach the 30-goal milestone but added that he did not set targets for himself. He said, "I don't set targets. I just look at the end of the season and see where my goals are and see if I'm happy or not. As a striker, the normal target is 20, so if you get that you are really happy. To have 30 with 13 games left, I'm buzzing with that return."
</p>

<p>
	The last Notts County player to score over 30 goals was Lee Hughes, who scored 33 in the 2009-10 season, while Tommy Lawton scored 33 in the 1949-50 season. Langstaff said it was an "unbelievable feeling" to match these highly-regarded players.

<p>
	Luke Williams, the manager of Notts County, has opened up about his relationship with the club's owners. The club is trying to get back into the Football League. Alexander and Christoffer Reedtz, who bought the club in 2019, have transformed Notts County from top to bottom, with the aim of returning to the EFL this year. The brothers have kept the club financially stable while improving facilities and breaking attendance records for National League fixtures.
</p>

<p>
	Williams praises the Danish brothers for their commitment to bringing the world's first professional football club back to where it belongs and hopes that this season will be a turning point in their journey. The Magpies' success this season can be largely attributed to their recruitment strategy, with several summer signings making a significant impact in their climb to the top of the standings.
</p>

<p>
	This season, Notts County has brought in 11 new players, each contributing to the team's remarkable success. Notable names include Macaulay Langstaff, who has scored 32 league goals, John Bostock with his worldwide experience, and Sam Austin, who provides endless energy and desire. The recent loan signing of Connor Lemonheigh-Evans from Stockport County further demonstrates the Magpies' success. Williams' management style and the owners' ambitious vision are in perfect alignment, resulting in the positive results achieved this season. The manager is pleased with the clear decision-making process surrounding transfers during his short time in management, citing the relationship with the Reedtz brothers as a key factor in Notts County's success.
</p>

<p>
	"First of all and the most important thing to understand is that this is not about backing me and giving me what I want," explained Williams.
</p>

<p>
	"This is about what they want as well and this is a very new concept and I understand that for a lot of people, but believe me, I am not having to go to people in recruitment or to the owners and ask them that I want this, and I want that, far from it.
</p>

<p>
	"They are so ambitious that they are telling me that we have a player that we think is perfect for what we need - they watch every minute of every game and see how the players are performing.
</p>

<p>
	"They know after my morning meeting who is struggling with fatigue and other issues, they can also watch training because they have a live stream to that because we have no secrets with each other, so they can watch my staff and players at work all the time which I think is amazing.
</p>

<p>
	"You can look at this in a big brother way, which is wrong, or you can look at it like these people are really invested and want to see everything, they are desperate for us to win.
</p>

<p>
	"It ranks at the very top from what I have seen, right at the very top.
</p>

<p>
	"Many times you have the staff and the managers asking that we need this or need that and meeting a wall of resistance sometimes - I have also seen a scenario where one wants to sign a certain player and the manager doesn't agree with that one, and then you have an uncomfortable situation, all of these things I have seen which are really common, conflict and different agendas, but we have none of that.
</p>

<p>
	"We are desperate to win across the board and a keen eye on what we have in the building and a keen eye on what we can potentially bring in to strengthen what we have, for me, it is the best possible environment."

<p>
	Notts County has secured the signing of Connor Lemonheigh-Evans, a renowned midfielder from Stockport County, on a loan deal until the end of the season.
</p>

<p>
	Lemonheigh-Evans, who scored a hat-trick against Notts County for Torquay United last season, has become one of the National League's best players after his good performance in the league.
</p>

<p>
	Head coach Luke Williams, who previously worked with Lemonheigh-Evans at Bristol City, said he was happy to see the club sign the player.
</p>

<p>
	"It’s a happy coincidence for me that a player like Connor has been suggested to me by the recruitment team so favourably," said Williams.
</p>

<p>
	"Although he spent a lot of time out on loan, I obviously got to know Connor very well at Bristol City.
</p>

<p>
	"He was versatile, tough, excellent with the ball and, wherever he played, he could score. I have so many good memories of his performances in training and in games.
</p>

<p>
	"One of the first conversations I had with him was to tell him I thought he was a League One-quality player. I’d just been working at that level with Swindon and instantly thought Connor and a couple of other guys, Aden Baldwin included, could have held their own at that level with the right management, even though they were just teenagers. I’d be amazed if he doesn’t go on to do that."
</p>

<p>
	According to Williams, Lemonheigh-Evans' competitive and spirited nature is one of his most significant qualities.
</p>

<p>
	“I went to watch Connor’s senior debut for Bristol City against Watford in the FA Cup,” said the boss. “Watford had a strong Premier League side led by Troy Deeney and Connor was very, very good.
</p>

<p>
	“Shortly after that he went on loan to Torquay, winning the National League South, and, as Notts fans know, he was then a crucial part of a team pushing for promotion from the National League, being named in the Team of the Year before getting his move to the EFL.
</p>

<p>
	“You can only do that if you have that competitive nature and I think he’ll fit in with the guys here, so many of whom are tough competitors – winners who can perform over and over again.
</p>

<p>
	“Hopefully he’ll recognise that he’s among the same type of guys once he settles in.”
