<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Steven Crank.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Port Vale?</strong> <em>30 years.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> <em>Unfortunately, not because of work.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>I’m 35.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong> <em>Stephen McPhee</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Can you tell us a bit about yourself and how you became a Port Vale fan? What are some of your earliest memories supporting the team?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I’m 35 years old and a forklift truck driver. I’ve been following the Vale since I was 3 years old. My Nan used to take me until I was old enough to go with the lads. My earliest memories are beating Stockport 2-1 at Wembley to win the league trophy. I was 4 years old.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What has been your most memorable match as a Port Vale supporter? Conversely, what has been the most heart-breaking moment for you?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Apart from all the times we have beaten Stoke in local derbies, my most memorable moment was beating Tranmere at home 2-1. We needed to win to keep the play-off hope alive. Steve McPhee scored a 92nd-minute winner out of nowhere. Amongst that, Tom Pope scoring at the Etihad or Leon Constantine scoring to put us 1 up away at Tottenham. On the flip side, my most heartbreaking moment has to be beating Rushden and Diamonds away to get into the play-offs, meanwhile Swindon and Hartlepool played for a draw which halted our play-off push on the final day of the season. A win by either team would have cemented our place.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you usually follow Port Vale matches? Do you prefer watching games live at the stadium, on TV, or listening to the radio?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>With work commitments, I tend to watch on my stream or radio but go as much as I can. I’ve been to a fair few grounds as well, some that no longer exist.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on Port Vale’s performance so far this season? Do you think they can secure a play-off place, or higher?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>While being quietly optimistic, it would be Vale all over to fizzle out. But with an experienced manager and the likes of Stockley, Byers, Benning, Garrity, and Chislett, we could easily get 3rd place. But it’s a dog-eat-dog league and anything can happen.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about the current management and coaching staff? Are there any changes you would like to see in the club’s strategy or approach?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I’m happy with Darren Moore, although his interviews are boring as hell.<span class="ipsEmoji">????</span> I’d like to see a more attacking approach to games because it’s League 2. If you attack, you will get goals. We seem to score and sit back, and the inevitable always happens.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you think Port Vale’s style of play compares to other teams in League Two? Are there any teams you particularly enjoy watching them play against?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I haven’t seen enough teams yet so far to comment on this one. Anyone who plays attacking football is always good to watch.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on the upcoming match against Notts County? How do you think the game will go, and what do you predict the final score will be?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>While Jodi Jones is out, there is always a chance. Backed by 2300 Valiants, the away end will be rocking. But typical Vale, backed by a tremendous following, normally don’t turn up. Notts County is definitely one of the stronger teams in this league, so it’ll be a close game. I’m sitting on the fence with this one and saying 2-2, with goals from Ben Garrity and Jayden Stockley.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	This will be a game for both teams which will test their promotion credentials, a good result for Notts would be a welcomed return to winning ways after the frustrating defeat against Gillingham. Notts will be hoping the 12th man and home advantage will benefit them the most, as they take to the Meadow Lane pitch. With the absence of Jodi Jones, it will be noteworthy to see how Kellan Gordon does in the position and if he can continue the fight. Port Vale are in good form themselves, and will prove themselves to be a very difficult outfit to face on home soil. They will be looking to make it four wins in five or three draws in five, hoping to defeat at all costs. I can't see many goals being in the game, perhaps only two, and I am hoping both goals are to Notts, yet it may end 1-1.

<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Liam Cole.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Carlisle United?</strong> <em>My first proper memory with the Blues is probably the Leeds play-off game, since the 2007/08 season.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong><em> Unfortunately not. My work commitments mean I don’t get to all home games any more, but I still manage to attend about 80% of them.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>27.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong> <em>My favourite player would be either Peter Murphy or Danny Grainger, both legends of the club’s recent past.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are the key strengths and weaknesses of Carlisle United, and how do they match up against Notts County’s style of play?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Up until the change in manager, there weren't really any strengths in the team with the tactics being played. This will be Mike Williamson's third game in charge, and there are certainly signs that, given a bit of time and backing in the transfer window (which he will get with our new owners), we will be a formidable team. Our game against Grimsby on Saturday was a Jekyll and Hyde performance. Our performance in the first half was the best half of football in the last three seasons without a doubt. In the second half, we were sloppy and switched off. No doubt this will improve when the players build their fitness and get used to our new tactics. Hopefully, we will be playing front-foot, possession-based football, which is obviously only fully possible for one team, so it will be less a case of tactics and more a case of the execution of them as to who comes out on top on the day.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do Carlisle United fans feel about their team’s current position in the league, and what do they think needs to change to improve their standing?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Obviously, given the new ownership and the backing of the previous regime, and head of recruitment Abbott, who is still here, but I would argue should be shown the door when our new position of sporting director is finally filled, we were expecting to be a big player in the league this season. Credit to Tom Piatak, he jumped early and replaced him with a manager with a positive future (hopefully with us!) instead of another off the merry-go-round. The signs in the two games so far are enough to suggest that if we continue on the same progress trajectory, then we should be more than safe this year, potentially with an outside shot at a playoff push.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Who are the standout players for Carlisle United this season, and which Notts County players do they see as the biggest threats?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>All the players have suffered with the tactics of Paul Simpson this season. The only player signed this year that looks to have improved under his leadership is our right-sided defender Archie Davies. Obviously, under the right leadership and tactics, we have some incredibly talented players. Everyone in the lower league knows exactly what players like Jordan Jones and Charlie Wyke are capable of.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Obviously, your injury to Jodi Jones is a big one and one that strengthens our chances. I'd expect Dan Crowley to play the biggest role in the game, being that our standout issue under Williamson is him wanting to play from the back and the question mark over defenders as to whether they fit into that style of play. His runs forward from midfield will cause us a lot of issues if our passing is not up to scratch.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What is the atmosphere like at Brunton Park on match days, and how do Carlisle United fans prepare for big games like this one?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The opposition fans' view on how we travel sums up the support the Blues have. Last season in League 1, most teams ranked us in the top 2 or 3 teams for away following to their grounds</em><em> that season. The atmosphere at home games is not quite as renowned, and there are definitely more doom and gloomers, but the atmosphere is still there. The improvements to the ground have massively improved the match day experience and have, in turn, improved the atmosphere pre-match. I think one of the positives we have is that despite the improvements and changes to the ground with a </em>brand-new<em> fan zone, more hospitality boxes added, and the improved hospitality offerings, we have managed to keep the charm of the 'old school' stadium, which a lot of these new stadiums lack.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>We have a march from the town centre with flags down to the ground, which is organised by a group of people who stand in 'The Warwick'. This is, however, going to be made up of fans from all areas of the ground.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do Carlisle United supporters view their manager’s tactics and decisions, and what changes would they like to see in the upcoming match?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It's still far too early in Mike Williamson's reign to comment, but I think the vast majority would agree that the early signs have been positive. There were grumbles at his appointment from a minority because of where MK Dons are in the league and the fact we paid a rumoured £200,000 release clause for him and his coaching staff when he was potentially on the verge of the sack. The flip side of that is he took them from 16th/17th last season and got them in the playoffs, albeit putting in the performance they did in the semis. The changes I would personally like to see are the cohesion and being able to execute the tactics like we did in the first half of the last game, for the full 90 minutes.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are the most memorable moments for Carlisle United fans from previous seasons, and how do they compare to past encounters with Notts County?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The big ones that stand out for me personally are two visits to Wembley. Beating Brentford 1-0 in the JPT final, with Peter Murphy netting the goal 24 hours after the birth of his baby. Then there's the two weeks beating Bradford in the play-off semis and seeing their fans' tears, and then beating Stockport on penalties in our 'weekend in paradise'. Another core memory as a fan is taking Liverpool to penalties and Derek Asamoah scoring in front of the KOP and his celebration to the Liverpool fans. I genuinely believe that was the defining nail in Brendan Rodgers' coffin in his time at the club. He was sacked less than two weeks later. Had they lost, I reckon he'd have been sacked that night.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Obviously, you're unbeaten in 5 against us if my memory is correct. However, the 5-0 at Meadow Lane is probably the defining memory against your team, with big Chaz scoring one and Jabo Ibehre netting a brace.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Which young players have shown the most improvement in their form this year? And how do you think their development will impact the team’s performance in the upcoming matches?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The obvious choices are the two Bournemouth boys, Dom Sadi and Dan Adu-Adjei. Dom Sadi, in particular, has shown massive potential in his first senior role. Most of our senior team aren't seen as 'young'. A couple of the YTS players put in some promising performances in preseason, and hopefully, they can snatch their chances if and when they come.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I would like to express <u><strong>my gratitude to Liam</strong></u> for taking the time to answer my questions. I sent these quite late, and he has come through to give us a brilliant insight into his support of Carlisle United. As for the game, I would honestly take a point because it will allow us to remain undefeated. I can see Carlisle being more of a threat on goal, so defensive solitude will be of importance for Notts. The game should be fairly open, but I have concerns that Carlisle might lift themselves and pull off a good performance against us. I am passing on a prediction this time, it will be quite tight.

	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Mark Shore.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Morecambe?</strong> <em>21-years.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> <em>Yes.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>35.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong><em> Danny Carlton.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about Morecambe’s current position in League Two, and what do you think are the main factors contributing to their struggles this season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I am not happy with us being bottom of the league. We play well, but things are not going our way. All this is because of our owner, Jason Whittingham.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How did the transfer embargo affect the team’s ability to strengthen the squad, and what impact do you think it has had on their overall performance?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It is hard to sign players under a transfer embargo. Signing 15 players in one day is challenging.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your views on the management and coaching staff’s approach to the season, and do you think any changes are needed to improve results?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It was out of his control, Adam's hand, because he doesn't know how much money he can spend on players.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you see the rest of the season unfolding for Morecambe, and what are your expectations for the team’s performance in the upcoming matches?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I hope we finish mid-table. I hope we can get 6 points in the next 3 games.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you think Notts County’s defence will handle Morecambe’s attacking threats in the upcoming match?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Notts County's defence will handle it fine.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Which player from Notts County do you believe will make the most impact in the game against Morecambe, and why?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Jacob Bedeau, I think he will because he is an ex-Morecambe player. Dan Crowley too.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What role do you think the club’s leadership and board have played in the current situation, and what actions do you believe they should take to address the issues?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Just make sure our owner sells the club. At the moment, he doesn't want to sell it. JASON WHITTINGHAM, GET OUT OF OUR CLUB AND SELL THE CLUB!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Fans might be thinking that the game will be routine from the Notts perspective, although I expect Morecambe to put a strong performance. Defensively, Morecambe can struggle from set pieces and corners which is something I would like to see magpies make use of. I fully expect Morecambe to attempt to disrupt our passing play, with them trying to mount attacks on the break. If Notts control the game and create good scoring opportunities, it could see a number of goals but even if this is the case - Morecambe have the ability to shut teams out or make the opposition work. My prediction would be 3-0 to Notts.
</p>

<p>
	I wish Morecambe fans all the best, and hope their season picks up.

<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve Hall.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David Garth</em>.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Gillingham?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: Supported Gillingham since 1964.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: I've been a Gills' supporter since the 1963/64 season when Gillingham won the old Division 4 title on goal difference from Carlisle United.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: I am not a season ticket holder as I live away.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: Yes, I've held a season ticket for many, many years now.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: I'm 68.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: 21 plus 59!</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: If pushed... David Peach, who went on to play for Southampton, but Bradley Dack, Steve Bruce, Tony Cascarino, Brian Yeo, John Simpson, etc, etc.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: There are so many that could fall into this category, but in recent years, I'd say my favourite has to be striker Cody McDonald, who played for us between 2010 and 2017 and scored 105 goals. He was very quick, both in pace and thinking, and worked well with several different pairings during his time at Priestfield. From today's squad, I'd have to pick Conor Masterson, who has been outstanding alongside Max Ehmer in defence. I'm hoping he'll be back in the side soon after his injury!</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about Gillingham’s performance so far this season? Which player has impressed you the most?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: Obviously, I am very pleased with the points total. Very pleased indeed. Maybe I sound like a manager now... "it's a team performance." That is exactly the sound bite you get out of Bonner, and in this case, it is true. With the obvious exception of Bradley Dack, I would not say we have too many "stars," but we field a team ready to shed blood, sweat, and tears.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: Considering our injury list (we've had between 5 and 7 regular starters out all season), we have done exceptionally well. Armani Little has been particularly impressive since joining us from AFC Wimbledon in the summer, and youngsters Jayden Clarke and Joe Gbode are both flourishing under Mark Bonner. I'm sure they will continue to improve and make valuable contributions this season.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on the team’s current tactics? Do you think they need to make any changes to stay competitive?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: We have only conceded two league goals. If we carry on like that, we will be in with a shout. We have had injuries, and I am not </em>sure if we<em> have hit top gear yet. That's encouraging.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: Still, the tactics have most certainly worked with four wins from six! Mind you, I am still an advocate of 4-4-2 and do wonder if at some point there will be a switch from one up to an attacking pair once Elliot Nevitt and Josh Andrews are both fully fit.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How confident are you in Gillingham’s chances of maintaining their position in the top three? Which upcoming match do you think will be the toughest?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: If we can keep Bradley Dack fit, I am confident of a play-off spot. He really is a quality player, but obviously, it will be a challenge to get 30+ games out of him. Another sound bite is "there are no easy games," but I am comfortable we will take six points off the Plastics. Tougher games? Notts, Barrow, and Doncaster are all six-pointers. Twelve points from those games would be a huge step towards promotion.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: I think we are good enough to maintain a promotion push and would like to think we've got a realistic chance of an automatic spot, but there are several very good sides in this division, including Notts County, Chesterfield, and Doncaster Rovers, so it's going to be a real fight throughout the season. The toughest match? They are all tough!</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What do you think of the new signings this season? Have any of them exceeded your expectations?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: I refer to my earlier answer, as they say in the Commons. Bradley Dack is the standout signing. A lot depends on him. Let's hope he can start proving everyone's faith very soon.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: I'm very pleased with our recruitment for this season and with how most of the new signings are shaping up. As I said, Armani Little has been particularly impressive, while, on the other hand, I think Jack Nolan has been a bit below par, but it's only a matter of time before he starts to fire on all cylinders. As for Bradley Dack, there's no doubt that on his day he will be right up there as one of the best attacking midfielders in the business, but it's all about getting him fit as he's hardly played any football for some time. If he gets fit, we will be a real force for sure!</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on the manager’s decisions so far? Do you think he has the right strategy for the rest of the season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: I was not convinced with the choice of Mark Bonner. I thought Stephen Clemence had done okay. I thought Neil Harris would also have brought success given time. To be honest, I am quite impressed. The defence looks strong, the keeper is fine, and he has fostered a strong squad feeling with a committed dressing room. I am not eating my words, but I am reasonably optimistic. He is focused on what I am... promotion. Anything else is not acceptable, to be blunt.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: Mark Bonner has really impressed so far and has made the right call in most games. He's done particularly well in the last two home games when we've had a player sent off on the hour mark, as his substitutions all worked really well - just ask Tranmere after last weekend when we broke out from a solid defence to score twice late in the game.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about the team’s performance in cup competitions? Do you think they should focus more on the league or balance both?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: A nice FA Cup run would be nice and can often help a league campaign. I'll forego it if we go up!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: Personally, I'm not too fussed about the League Cup or the Trophy, but I would love a run once again in the FA Cup, which is the cup competition that most of us really care about.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your expectations for the rest of the season? Do you think Gillingham can challenge Notts County for the top spot?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Steve: Going out on a limb, yes, I think we can go all the way this season. Yes, it's a long way to go, but from what we have seen so far, we are definitely in with a chance. A 1-0 win at Meadow Lane would do our season no harm.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>David: My expectation is that we will hopefully feature in the promotion race throughout the season and will have a good go at an automatic promotion spot. As for today's game, a lot may depend on who is available (back from injury) for our side, but I think a 1-1 draw is the most likely result. It will be two very good teams going head-to-head, I'm sure!</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Both teams will be eager to make the most of the game, so it could be a very difficult match for both respective teams. For Notts, it will be a good insight as to how the team will cope against coming up against an inform team at Meadow Lane, with the likes of Dan Crowley and Jodi Jones recently having been influential in the magpies recent 4-2 away win over Bromley. Gillingham will be looking to cause as much trouble as possible early on, so defensively Notts must be ready to take on that challenge. I suspect Gillingham will want to try to retain as much of the possession as possible, so it will be interesting to see if Notts can retain their usual high amounts, and if the Gills' will focus on pushing back Notts forcing them to be more creative going forward. I have this down as a 2-1 home win, although I don't deny the quality of the opposition.

<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Steff Bale</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Bromley?</strong> <em>I have been attending Bromley matches since I was 11 years old. I’m 52 now! I am a Bromley fan, but many Bromley supporters support other clubs, especially big London clubs. I used to watch Arsenal more than Bromley, but for the last few years, I have been going to watch Bromley more than Arsenal.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> <em>I was a season ticket holder at Bromley until this season when they changed it all. You now have to be in a certain area of the ground, but I prefer to watch home games in different areas of the ground and I do not wish to be restricted, so no season ticket this season due to that reason!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>I am aged 52.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong> <em>I would say my favourite player has to be Michael Cheek. He’s the top scorer every season and has scored all the important goals for Bromley, including winning the FA Trophy at Wembley against Wrexham and the play-off final against Solihull to win promotion. He also hit the ground running and is scoring in League 2 as well!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How does it feel to be in the Football League, and how has the journey been for Bromley so far?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It still doesn’t feel real, to be honest, a club like Bromley in the Football League. I still feel like it’s a dream! Some of the away trips are to epic places with big stadiums, clubs with massive history, and some have even been in the Premier League! It’s what you dream of, really! Bromley have done well so far, holding their own, winning the first 2 games, then a couple of losses (one was very unlucky) and a draw last Saturday away at Colchester. Very credible so far and don’t look out of place in League 2 at all. I think we will be fine.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Who are Bromley’s standout players this season, and what impact do you think they will have on the game?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Grant Smith in goal is outstanding and has kept us in the game many times. He's very solid, one of the best in the league in many people's opinion, including mine. Our defence is solid, all very tall big guys. Byron Webster is excellent at CB, our captain with a huge amount of league experience at different clubs, including Millwall. Kamarl Grant is solid in defence on loan from Millwall. He's doing a fantastic job. Also, Idris Odutayo in defence is very solid, to name a few! Up front, as mentioned, Michael Cheek is excellent and will always have a chance of scoring. He's been top scorer since he joined the club and has been absolutely outstanding, scoring this season too! Corey Whitely is also very good, chipping in with goals, and Marcus Dinanga, who signed from Gateshead with a good goal-scoring record, is one to watch this season. The squad is very </em>well-balanced<em> with experience, young talent, loan players, and some Bromley stalwarts who have worked hard to get into the league.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What is Bromley’s preferred formation and style of play, and how do you think Notts County can counter it?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>This is a bit tricky, to be honest, although some Bromley fans might disagree. I don’t think Andy Woodman has finally found his best starting XI just yet. Obviously, there are players like Cheek and Webster who will always start, but other players come in and out of the side partly due to the injuries and suspensions this season. It was interesting the changes that were made for the <abbr title="English Football League"><abbr title="English Football League">EFL</abbr></abbr> Cup match with Cambridge. The team had been rotated, so many squad players started and played really well. This has given Manager Andy Woodman more choices. Bromley like to play an attacking style with high pressing. They will expose opposition defences’ weaknesses, especially down the flanks. Hayes Lane has become a hard ground for away teams due to this. Notts County are an excellent side and always have a good striker who will score. I’m concerned about Notts County’s attacking options, and I think that alone may well be their biggest strength to counter Bromley.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How has Bromley’s manager been influencing their tactics, and what do you think his approach will be for this game?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Andy Woodman is always very calm and approaches games with a calm attitude. I don’t know exactly how he will approach the game or who will start exactly. I fully expect an attacking approach against Notts County and Bromley must make chances count! I’m sure Andy Woodman will drum that into the team! Andy Woodman is very influential when it comes to tactics, along with assistant manager Alan Dunn. The club recruited a gamer to the staff who was an expert player of Football Manager! This had a lot of publicity and was a brilliant move by the club. This has resulted in expert analysis of opposition, help with team selection through stats to assist the management team. This is working very well by all accounts.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How has Bromley’s form been so far this season, and what challenges do you think Notts County may face at Hayes Lane?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Bromley’s form is up and down, but they are holding their own in League 2. Hayes Lane is a very difficult place to come and get a result, even though Crewe recently scored 2 very late goals to win 1-2. Bromley’s home form is good and not many teams get a result there. It won’t be easy at all for Notts County, especially in a tight ground which is the complete opposite of the huge Meadow Lane stadium. I think Notts County will have their work cut out and may find Bromley a bit of a handful, especially up front!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How has Bromley’s defence been performing, and how do you feel the game will go against Notts County?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Bromley have a good defence and a good keeper. They are quite solid. The only criticism is they can switch off late on. I predict 2-2 and an end-to-end game. Bromley must be very careful of McGoldrick, who is still brilliant at scoring goals wherever he goes!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What has the journey been like for Bromley over the past few seasons, and how have they adapted to life in the Football League? Are there any key moments or significant tests that have shaped their experience?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Bromley has slowly climbed the leagues to make it into the Football League. They did well in the National League for 10 years but needed to get over the line into the Football League, which they managed. For me, the key moments of recent history have been promotion to the National League, the FA Trophy Finals at Wembley, winning one by beating the mighty Wrexham with Michael Cheek scoring, and of course the play-off final at Wembley and Cheek taking us into the league along with the team scoring the penalties in the shoot-out! The significant tests have been all those things plus coming so close to promotion and play-offs. Everything has shaped the club and players into what they are and where they are now. It’s taken a lot of years, but this small South London/Kent football club surrounded by big London clubs is in the Football League to stay!!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I think Bromley will present a challenge for Notts, one where I hope our quality in creativity and possession will result in an entertaining game. We shouldn't underestimate our opposition, at home they can be a very difficult team to break down, but if pressure can be asserted and the magpies' play to their potential I do feel encouraged. The Ravens will certainly try to press and counter Notts, they have some very capable players that defensively we must manage, but I feel the game could go either way, with a 1-1 draw or 1-2 win for Notts. I am hoping Alex Bass can retain another clean sheet, but I feel it's likely that Bromley will at least score once.

<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Michael Beardmore</em>.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Accrington Stanley?</strong> <em>I’ve supported Accrington Stanley since I was about 8. I’m now 35.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> <em>Yes, I’m a season ticket holder.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>35.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong><em> Shaun Whalley.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Andy Holt has been a prominent figure in the club’s management. How do you feel about his leadership and the direction he has taken the club? Are there any specific initiatives or changes he has implemented that you particularly appreciate or disagree with?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Andy Holt has been amazing for Stanley. What he has built at the club is incredible, including the ground and clubhouse. I agree with the changes he has made.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How would you rate Accrington Stanley’s performance so far this season? Are there any standout players who have made a significant impact?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I don’t think we have played really badly. We’ve had a couple of tough games. Against Doncaster away, we were well in the game for 65 minutes. Shaun Whalley has been as consistent as always, showing quality. A few new lads have looked good too. Tyler Walton looks like a real find.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are there any specific matchups or battles on the pitch that you think will be particularly important in determining the outcome of the game?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>We just need our defence to stay strong. Maybe Farrend Rawson can try to keep Daavid McGoldrick quiet, but it won’t be easy.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your expectations for the upcoming match against Notts County? Do you feel confident about Accrington Stanley’s chances?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>We played okay there last season, but again, it won’t be easy at all. I’d take a draw now; I’ll say 2-2.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What do you see as the biggest challenges facing Accrington Stanley in the near future? Conversely, what opportunities do you think the club should capitalise on?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It’s always the same for Stanley, keeping our better players is a challenge every season. And some of the young lads too. It’s not easy.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your expectations for Accrington Stanley this season? Do you have any specific hopes or predictions for where the team will finish in the league?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Safety first, I’d take mid-table, but I would love a play-off push. Maybe this young team, including Donald Love, isn’t quite ready for that yet.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Accrington Stanley has a reputation for nurturing young talent. How do you feel about the club’s youth development program? Are there any young players you believe have the potential to become key figures in the future?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>We have a fantastic young set-up with the likes of Alex Henderson, Connor O’Brien, Dan Martin, Aaron Pickles, and a few more. Yes, the future does look bright.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	Accrington Stanley are always a team which is well-organised and works as a unit. They will be dangerous on the break and counter. Notts County must show their robust approach to defending, with Stanley being quite effective at set pieces and this will be a key area for the magpies' to balance. In attacking, Notts will have to make use of all the space on the pitch and when chances present themselves, it would be good to see the centre of the park explored and not just the flanks. We have the quality to punish them, but I believe it will fall down to pressure and who takes their chances. I predicted a 2-0 win for Notts.

<p>
	<strong>Introduction:</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> <em>Lee Witts.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Swindon Town?</strong> <em>I’ve supported Swindon since I was about four years old.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> I<em>’m not a season ticket holder because I have a young child at home who is too young to go to games at the moment. However, I go to most home games and some away games, including some long ones.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong> <em>29.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong> <em>The legends Don Rogers and Sam Parkin.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about Swindon Town’s performance so far this season? What do you think are the main reasons behind the team’s current position in the league?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think we need new players. Our squad depth is shocking, which is why our start to the season hasn’t been good. We capitulated during the first home game against Walsall.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about the recent loan signings of Miguel Freckleton, Joel Cotterill, and Kabongo Tshimanga? How do you think these new players will integrate with the existing squad?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Freckleton looks like he’ll be a decent signing after a few more matches. Cotterill needs to improve as he hasn’t had a good start. Tshimanga could be a great signing if he scores a few early goals.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your expectations for the upcoming game against Notts County? Which Notts County players do you think Swindon Town should be most wary of?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>My expectation for the game on Saturday is a win, but I know that Notts are much better defensively so far this season. So, a draw would still be a solid result! If we control the midfield and limit Jatta’s service, I would be very happy.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What strategies do you think Swindon Town should employ to secure a win against Notts County? How do you think Swindon Town’s recent signings, like Jeff King and Grant Hall, can contribute to the strategies you mentioned?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Jeff King has an amazing cross and shot. If we find Smith in the box, he’ll likely win the header and score because of his stature. Even though Hall had a bad game against Walsall, he has plenty of Championship experience and should start performing well in the future.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How has the fan support been this season, and how do you think it affects the team’s performance? What are your thoughts on the management and coaching staff’s approach this season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Our fans expect more than what we’ve been giving them. We’re one of the biggest clubs in this division on paper, but we’ve nearly gone out of business and underperformed in the last four or five years. Our fanbase is fed up and wants to see results and passion. This season, we’re playing more direct football than we have in the past, and it will take some time to get used to. But I believe we can turn our fortunes around.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are there any particular players you are excited to see develop this season? Which player do you think has been the standout performer so far this season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Will Wright has been our standout performer. He looks very solid, and he was a great signing after his success with Crawley last year. He’s also a set-piece expert, so he’s my best player so far this season. When he finally gets fit, Sean McGurk is a very talented youngster, and I can’t wait to see him flourish in the right hands.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your hopes and expectations for Swindon Town for the rest of the season? What changes or improvements would you like to see in the team moving forward?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The playoffs were our objective this season, but after the first three games, and if nothing improves, I’d probably say mid-table or even relegation if our performances don’t change. However, we have a lot more experience this season, and I think we should be okay.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you think Swindon Town can effectively cope with teams that like to retain a high amount of possession? Additionally, what adjustments do you think the team should make to their defensive and midfield strategies to counter such teams?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think we’ll struggle on the counter-attack. Walsall, for example, punished us every time they attacked in the last home game. However, not every game will be like that, and I think we’ll have our fair share of possession over a long and fruitful season. Also, I think we have a good chance of getting a result against Notts County if we can keep Jones quiet on Saturday.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	It’s still very early in the season, and Swindon Town’s start is a false impression of their abilities. They are a good League Two team with some very good players, and the arrival of Kabongo Tshimanga on loan from Peterborough United should give them a threat up top. Notts will see this as a good opportunity to continue their undefeated start. I believe it will take a few more games before Swindon start to pick up their season, so I think their form will benefit Notts if we control the game. Jodi Jones and our midfield will be crucial in making the game difficult. I think Swindon will be defensively tight and hard to break down. The Magpies must be creative in their bid to get their first three points on the road. I predict a 2-0 win, but I acknowledge that it could end in a draw.

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil Wilkinson</em>.</span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How long have you supported Grimsby Town?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: Since I started watching Town.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: 48 years.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: Yes, I have a season ticket.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: No.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Age?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: 27.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: 57.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Favourite Player?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: At the moment, there are a few.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: Danny Rose.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on Grimsby Town’s performance in their first game of the season, and how do you think it sets the tone for the rest of the season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: We weren't at our best, and it showed in the defeat. However, new players are still coming in and getting to know each other, so I wasn't worried! Yes, you want to start the season with a win and gain momentum, but August still feels like pre-season to me, with players coming and going. This was evident in the performances against Bradford and Cheltenham.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: A slow start, but you can see what they are trying to achieve. Playing from the back and then moving the ball quickly through the phases. It didn’t work particularly well in the first game of the season.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Which player do you think has been the standout performer for Grimsby Town in these initial games, and what specific qualities or contributions have they brought to the team?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: For me, there are three: McJannet has been brilliant, Khouri, playing at left-back, has put in a shift and done the job needed, but George McEachran has been quality! He looks like his time at Swindon is behind him, and he’s showing his actual potential.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: Jordan Davies is going to be our outstanding player. He’s a class above most in the division. He links the play up really well and can receive the ball in very tight spaces.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about the team’s current management and coaching staff, and what impact do you think they have had on the team’s early performances and morale?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: I think we should give David Artell time and allow the season to progress; we’ll do well!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: Artell and the coaching staff always needed a pre-season with their own players, so time will tell, but the early signs are good. Morale will improve with each game, as will confidence once we start getting results under our belt.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What do you think are the key strengths and weaknesses of Grimsby Town’s squad based on the first two games, and how do you think these will affect their performance in the upcoming match against Notts County?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: I feel we need another centre-forward and a central defensive midfielder, but I think the team is strong. Thompson was a standout in the second half of last season, and we have a brilliant midfielder. However, we don’t have someone who can replicate Thompson, as most of our other midfielders are more attacking.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: We don’t appear to have much strength in depth. Our bench against Bradford was pretty weak. It remains to be seen which players will recover in time for the County game, but I’m confident that if we keep this group fit, we will do okay.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you see the upcoming match against Notts County playing out, and what do you think will be the decisive factors in determining the outcome?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: I feel Grimsby will win, mainly because I think you’ve got rid of some of your best players from last year. However, at home last season, Jodi Jones tore us apart and was brilliant. I’d take Jodi Jones at Grimsby in a heartbeat!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: I believe we will win. The midfield will be important. Ours is playing with a lot of belief at the moment after the last two games. We have to be decisive in front of goal, though.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Are there any specific tactics or strategies you think Grimsby Town should employ against Notts County, and how do you think these will counter Notts County’s strengths?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: Just carry on playing the way we are, and we’ll be absolutely fine! Artell-ball is in full swing!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: We’ve developed our style of playing out from the back and drawing the opposition in before playing through the lines. The result will depend on this continuing to work. Our confidence is up at the moment, so we should persevere with it.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your expectations for Grimsby Town for the rest of the season based on their early performances, and what do you think the team needs to do to achieve these goals?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Elliott: We’ll be absolutely fine. I think we might be underdog dark horses in my opinion. I think David Artell has implemented a way of playing which looks like it can work, especially if we work hard week in and week out!</em>
</p>

<p>
	<span style="color:#999999;"><em>Neil: Again, we just need to persevere with our style of play. We are a much more confident side than last season, and I’m expecting a mid-table or above finish. I certainly don’t expect to be in a relegation battle. With some injured players back in the next few weeks, we will have some strength in depth, but we probably need a couple of players before the transfer deadline.</em></span>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	It's going to be another difficult game, one where Notts must have to be at their best. Local derbies tend to be a bit disappointing, so I am hopeful that we can make a difference going into this game. Starting well, retaining the ball and creating clear chances would make things much easier. I expect Grimsby to be dangerous themselves on goal, but provided our defence continues to want to win the ball back. I am more inclined to think Notts will get the win. I am going for a 2-1 win.

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction:</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Tom Pratt.
</p>

<p>
	How long have you supported Fleetwood Town?I have supported Fleetwood Town for 18 years.
</p>

<p>
	Are you a season ticket holder? I am a season ticket holder.
</p>

<p>
	Age? 30.
</p>

<p>
	Favourite Player? Danny Mayor.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about Fleetwood Town’s pre-season preparations this year? Were there any standout performances or new signings that caught your eye? Also, what are your thoughts on the team’s performance in the opening game of the season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Fleetwood Town has had a good pre-season this year. Mark Helm has caught my eye as a key player. I think they played well in the opening game of the season; they looked good defensively, but not so much in attack.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Reflecting on Fleetwood Town’s performance last season, what were some of the key moments or challenges that stood out to you? Given the club’s relegation, what changes or strategies would you like to see implemented to help the team bounce back and achieve promotion?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Charlie Adam coming in steadied the ship. I would have liked to see Fleetwood make more signings in the attacking positions.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I started supporting Fleetwood because a family member was part of the club. Memorable moments for me include winning six promotions in ten years and also winning the League Two play-offs at Wembley.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on the upcoming match between Fleetwood Town and Notts County? How do you think both teams will perform, and where do you believe each team will finish at the end of the season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think it would be a great match and I think they will both be challenging for automatic promotion.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you feel about the current depth of Fleetwood Town’s squad? Are there any specific areas or positions where you think the team could improve or strengthen to enhance their performance this season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think Fleetwood need more options at striker.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Who do you believe will win the League Two title this season and secure the automatic promotion places? Additionally, which teams do you think will finish within the playoff spots, and what are your reasons for these predictions?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	I<em> think Fleetwood will possibly win League Two this season. Notts County will finish runner-up, and in the last automatic position, I think it will be Gillingham. I think the play-offs will include Bradford, Port Vale, Chesterfield, and Tranmere. I believe it will be like this because each of these teams has recruited well for the standards of League Two.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Fleetwood Town should not be underestimated, they come to Meadow Lane having beat West Brom in the League Cup 2-1, as well as winning their opening League Two game of the season against Grimsby 1-0. Notts must shrug of the disappointment of losing in the League Cup against Shrewsbury Town, as an impressive first half saw a 2-0 lead which the Shrews overcame in the second half, pulling back to level terms and going 3-2 up before Alassana Jatta forced both teams into penalty shoot-out.  Notts must approach the game like the 0-0 draw against Tranmere, but work hard to create efforts on goal. So far, only 4 shots have been registered by the Magpies' on goal and this will need to be much higher come Sunday.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<em>It should be a good game, but I do feel Fleetwood won't be pushovers and may force Notts to dig deep to pull off a good result.</em>

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Joe Shillinglaw<br>
	How long have you supported Tranmere Rovers? I have supported them since I was 11/12.<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder?  I used to have a season ticket but haven't renewed it this year due to working as a chef at weekends.<br>
	Age? 25<br>
	Favourite Player? My favourite player is Lee O’Connor
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How do you think Tranmere Rovers performed in pre-season, and what are your expectations for the upcoming season?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I think we’ve done very well in terms of transfers. A couple more signings could strengthen the squad. My expectation is definitely the playoffs, but I’d be happy with a top-ten finish. Pre-season results have been positive, with wins over Blackpool and Wigan. I think we would have struggled last season.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Which players do you think will stand out for Tranmere against Notts County? Are there any new signings or young talents who have impressed you?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Omari Patrick is a standout player. He’s quick and skilful. O’Connor can dictate play in midfield, and Luke Norris has looked great in pre-season.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What are your thoughts on Nigel Adkins’ tactics and style of play? Do you think the current management team is the right fit for the club?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>His tactics are excellent. He’s a Premier League-level manager who has brought an exciting style of play to Tranmere. After a difficult start under Dawes, Adkins steadied the ship and secured a mid-table finish. We can’t thank him enough.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What do you consider to be the team’s biggest strengths? Are there any areas where you think the team needs to improve?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>Our biggest strengths are undoubtedly Luke Norris, O’Connor, and Patrick. Defensively, we could be more solid, as we made some costly errors last season.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>How does this season compare to previous seasons in terms of optimism and excitement for the campaign ahead? Are there any past seasons or moments that you think are particularly significant for the club?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The new signings have generated a lot of excitement. Connor Jennings’ 119th-minute winner against Newport to secure promotion is a standout moment.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>What made you become a Tranmere Rovers fan? Do you have any personal traditions or rituals related to supporting the team?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I’m from Liverpool, but I started going to Tranmere matches with friends as a teenager and fell in love with the club.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Which matches are you most looking forward to this season? How important are the matches against local rivals to you?</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>I’m excited about the away game at Notts County as I live in Nottingham. Local derbies are always crucial. Three points against a rival is always satisfying. I’m also looking forward to visiting Chesterfield.</em>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Final comments from Chris</strong>
</p>

<p>
	<em>The first game of any season is always a difficult game, preparing to face a team which has dramatically changed in the summer - with the addition of squad players. It naturally takes time for players to settle into a </em>routine.<em> Nigel Adkins will be seeing Notts' defence as an area to target but the strengthening of this area for the magpies' should make for a fair and entertaining game. Stuart Maynard still has many fans to win </em>over;<em> a good performance and a potential win might just be the start. The prediction for this would be a 1-1 draw, although either side could win it.</em>

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Ed Gorton<br>
	Age: 18<br>
	How long have you supported Macclesfield? I have supported Macc for 11 years now. My first game was actually at Meadow Lane in 2007. If I remember correctly we won 1-0.<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder? I am.<br>
	Favorite Player: Would have to be Danny Whitaker. Simply a club legend.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How do you think Macclesfield have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	So far this season our performances have been very poor, and we’ve been resorting to long-ball football. We’ve picked up a bit in the last couple of games, managing to get two draws against two very decent sides. In terms of expectations, we were expected to struggle but none of us thought it would’ve been this bad. If we still had Askey, then it probably would be a whole different story. The most worrying thing is that the players that have come in aren’t better than the ones who stayed on from last season (apart from the two goalkeepers), but Yates kept starting the ones he’d signed.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Did you feel hard done by when John Askey left you in the summer for Shrewsbury Town?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I was gutted when John left, but he fully deserves his chance to manage at a higher level. However, it appeared that John wanted to stay at Macc, but there are strong rumors that the Owner and Chairman forced him out (they really didn’t get along well and rarely contacted each other). The fans are really unhappy about this and a majority want both the chairman and owner out. With the style of football that John had us playing, I really don’t think we’d be struggling in the league, and he always knew a good player when he saw one.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Can you describe what it was like getting promoted back to the Football League last year?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Getting promoted last season was incredible and meant an awful lot to every Silkmen fan. The fact that we did it against the odds made it even sweeter. It’s also so much nicer going on away days to places I’ve actually heard of before. And finally, the money that promotion bought in was huge for the club, as for the last few years we’ve been cash-strapped.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who is the biggest threat when going forward and why?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Going forward we have a front three of Marsh, Wilson and Blissett. Blissett works tirelessly and wins a lot in the air. Wilson’s runs in behind are a big threat and Marsh is a very creative player. If I had to pick one I’d go for Blissett due to his work-rate.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>What did you think of the appointment of Mark Yates from Solihull Moors after keeping them up last year in the National League?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	At first, I thought Yates was a decent appointment. He operated on a tight budget at Solihull and completely turned their season round. He’s taken Cheltenham to two play-off finals and has Football League experience. However, I haven’t been impressed by his style of football at all and some of the players he’s bought in haven’t been great. I really hope he can turn it round for us.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I would say Kristian Dennis. He played for us a few years ago and scored goals for fun. He’s a real threat in the box. Also, Elliott Hewitt and Shaun Brisley, both came through our youth team and turned into very good players.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I’ll be optimistic and go for a 2-1 Silkmen win, with Blissett and Wilson scoring. Dennis to score for County.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final comments from Sam and Chris</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Both Sam and Chris would like to thank Ed for one of the best interviews we have had so far this season. It’s interesting about his comments made on manager Mark Yates and Kristian Dennis and how he thinks he will be the danger man for us. Finally, Sam predicts a 4-1 away win to Notts with Hemmings, Boldewjin and Dennis to score. Chris predicts a 2-2 draw with Hemmings and Hewitt to get their names on the scoresheet.

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Aidan Parfitt<br>
	Age: 19<br>
	How long have you supported Crawley? I’ve been a supporter of Crawley for 14 years now<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder? Yes, been a season ticket holder for most of the 14 years<br>
	Favourite Player: Bondz N’Gala
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How do you think Crawley have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I’d say at this stage of the season our form has been very inconsistent but in terms of expectation I’d say we are about where we would want to be in the league.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Is there any current bad blood between your club and Notts County? Or were you happy with the income received from the likes of Kewell, Feeney and Boldewjin?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I wouldn’t say there is bad blood between supporters or the clubs, but I think there is bad blood between Crawley, Kewell and Feeney, the income from all of their fees has helped us out massively and Meant we can bring in players like Morais and Ollie Palmer, Crawley fans have nothing but love for Enzio and most fans understand why he did the move to Notts.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who has been your star player this season so far?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Star player has to be Ollie Palmer scored 6 goals already and without him scoring I don’t think anyone else would.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>What are your thoughts on the Rob Milsom situation? As we have him on an initial loan deal with a view to be permanent. Bypassing the fact, the transfer window shut early.</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	You can have Milsom he played 3 games for Crawley and looked very poor, if he was till at Crawley let’s put it like this I’d happily drive him back to Notts if he wanted to go.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Are you happy to see the back of Harry Kewell? If so… Why?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Personally, I’m happy to see the back of him, he just ruined the style of football Crawley have always played, we just kept passing around at the back and making silly mistakes, I never liked his arrogance either but guess you can’t help that with some people.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Got to be Enzio, always fear playing former players, not worried about Evina at all and Milsom I won’t realise he’s on the pitch, but we know what Enzio can do so got to be him.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Notts 1-2 Crawley, I reckon Enzio will score your goal and Palmer and Morais will score our goals.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final Comments from Sam and Chris</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Both Sam and Chris would like to think Aidan for his time and effort to complete this interview for our Pride of Nottingham members to read. It really is good to see what the opposition fans are thinking ahead of the league clash on Tuesday night, comments made about Kewell were very interesting. Finally, Sam thinks it will be a 1-1 draw with Boldewjin scoring against his former club. While Chris predicts a 1-0 to Notts with the RB Tootle scoring the only goal In the game.

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Adam Kay<br>
	Age: 26<br>
	How long have you supported Crewe? 19 years<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder? Yes, since the 1999/2000 season.<br>
	Favorite Player: George Ray
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How do you think Crewe have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	After our spectacular 6-0 start, things have only gone downhill and fast. After 5 games we were miraculously in minus goal difference. Although we have managed a few clean sheets, we have also failed to score in a significant amount of games and that needs to drastically improve if we are to look up rather than down. I expect us to finish around the lower mid table mark based on what I have seen so far this season.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Which player left in the summer who you think could have been needed this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	We had a relatively quiet summer which seen us release 2 first team players and both were unsurprising.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who has been your star player this season so far?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	For me, Ryan Wintle has been our best player this season, purely based on the fact he consistently gives a decent showing and sits in front of the defence protecting the back four.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>When George Cooper left for Peterborough did you miss him at all? Did he have a massive impact on your squad or were you glad to cash in on an academy product?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	To be honest, not as much as first thought. He was our main creator especially from set pieces but he was directly replaced with another academy graduate in Charlie Kirk who has improved a lot over the last 12 months, so the impact has been minimal.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Perry Ng has always been highly rated of in League Two? What do you think are his prospects?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	He’s a very versatile player and can play in a number of positions across the defence or even in centre midfield. I think he could go up the football league ladder sooner rather than later if he continues to show improvement and consistency.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I would say David Vaughan, he’s one of our own academy players so we know all about his abilities and was playing championship football across the Trent as recently as last year.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goalscorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	0-0 Both teams are desperate for points, Crewe mainly to show a response to losing the local derby against Port Vale last weekend and being thumped by a Man City academy 11 in the week. Notts on the other hand haven’t won all season and will be going all out to change that and impress the new boss.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final comments from Sam and Chris</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I think Crewe will be a physical side that will bring both a mix of youth and experience. However, I think this is where we pick up our first win, I’m going to say a 4-0 win to Notts, Stead and Hemmings both getting a brace. Chris, meanwhile, feels Notts could capitalise on a poor Crewe defence but with a much closer score line of 3-1, Stead, Dennis and Thomas to score.

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	<strong>Name:</strong> Matt<br>
	<strong>Age: </strong>15<br>
	<strong>How long have you supported Northampton Town?</strong> Ever since I had my first season ticket at 7-8 years of age.<br>
	<strong>Are you a season ticket holder?</strong> Yes<br>
	<strong>Favorite Player: </strong>John Joe O’Toole
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How do you think Northampton have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	In terms of results, way below expectations as we haven’t been as good at finishing teams off to get the 3 points, overall the quality of football has been good, but we haven’t been able to wrap up wins and we’ve been punished on several occasions for not doing so.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Which player left in the summer who you think could have been needed this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Personally, I think the loss of goalkeeper Richard O’Donnell to Bradford is a big loss as the fans loved him and when he left to go to Bradford he was in brilliant form for us. In my opinion he could have been key to a promotion push this season.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Notts County are looking at getting a sponsored stadium name. How do you feel about Sixfields becoming the PTS Academy stadium? Is it welcomed at the club or looked down on?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Personally, I hate it. I think most of the fans do. Sixfields is the name of the retail park so to have it as our stadium name made perfect sense. If you have sponsored stadium name, the name has to work for example Stoke and the Bet365 stadium. For me, the PTS Academy Stadium doesn’t roll off the tongue well and it will always be Sixfields in my eyes.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who is the biggest threat when going forward and why?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Kevin Van Veen and JJ O’Toole are threats when they play off one another. Van Veen is a proven league one striker and we are lucky to have him in league two and he could be vital this season for us if he can grab 20 plus goals.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How would you sum up last season where you were relegated from League One? What went wrong?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Last season Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink was in charge (for the majority) and fans blamed not only a poor style of play but most of all the lack of passion is believed to be one of the main reasons we faced the drop. We had quite a few on loan last year meaning that Northampton wasn’t their main club relegation didn’t really bother them as their parent clubs were at a higher level. Players such as David Buchanan, JJ O’Toole and Ash Taylor were just a few who showed some fighting spirit to stay up. 8 of the 11 last year didn’t seem to bother.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Jon Stead and Kane Hemmings are the Notts County danger men up top with both being well established EFL players. I look forward to seeing how they get on against the likes of Taylor and Pierre at the back and see if they know the formula for getting past them.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	The Cobblers desperately need a home win, so I’ll go for a nervy 2-1 Northampton win. Van Veen and Crooks for the Town and Hemmings for County.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final Comments from Sam and Chris</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Sam and Chris would like to thank Matt who has taken the time to answer a few of our questions in detail for our Pride of Nottingham members to read. It is interesting to see what an opposition fan thinks about Notts County and current issues going on surrounding their club. Finally, Sam’s score prediction for this weekend is a hopeful 3-1 away win with Alessandra and Hemmings being the scorers. Meanwhile Chris thinks the score will be exactly the same 3-1 in Notts favour, Stead, Boldewijn and Ward to score.

<p>
	Opposition View: Stevenage
</p>

<p>
	This week we have interviews from two Stevenage fans who will both be apart of this week's Pride of Nottingham’s Opposition View Series.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Greg Kett<br>
	Age: 28<br>
	How long have you supported Stevenage? I’ve supported Stevenage for 23 years.<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder? No<br>
	Favorite Player: Ronnie Henry
</p>

<p>
	Name: George<br>
	Age: 16<br>
	How long have you supported Stevenage? 12 years.<br>
	Are you a season ticket holder? Yes, I am a season ticket holder.<br>
	Favorite Player: Alex Revell
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How do you think Stevenage have done so far in the new 2018/19 campaign?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: Solid start to the season in my opinion but defeats to Yeovil and Cambridge left us with a lot of work to do. It’s been a squad overhaul in the summer, so the players will need some time to gel. I would expect to see some more inconsistent performances over the next couple of months.<br>
	George: They haven’t been the best so far. However, we can’t complain because we’ve only lost twice, and I think the players just need to settle down into the Stevenage setup.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How big of a loss was Matt Godden in the summer transfer window?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: A loss for sure but the arrival of Alex Revell last January and Danny Newton has softened the blow a little. He’s a big goal threat (Godden) so would be a miss for any team but most fans were expecting and were preparing for his departure in the summer.<br>
	George: The loss of Matt Godden wasn’t a big loss in my opinion. We have Newton and Revell who score goals a lot. Godden’s final season wasn’t as good as his previous seasons. If we had lost him at the end of 16/17 it would have been a massive loss.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Looking at the table now and how you have been playing, what would be your ideal finish this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: Currently 11th in the table, and I predicted 12th. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a late play off push but wouldn’t say I would have expected come the start of the season.<br>
	George: Looking at how we have been playing I think we’ll be lucky to get 10th but we’re only a month into the season so hopefully we’ll make the play offs.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who has been your shining new transfer so far?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: Jimmy Ball has been pretty good, and Luther Wildin also has begun life at Stevenage well. Both Conference North players last season and showing great potential.<br>
	George: Our shining transfer so far has probably been the arrival of James Ball. So far, he’s played really well with convincing displays.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Were you ever worried about the arrival of Dino Maamria with his lack of League management history?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: Not really. Look at the Cowley’s and what they have done at Lincoln. They have built their way up through the lower leagues and at this level experience is not a must. If Dino gets the best out of this group of players, then he’ll succeed here at Stevenage.<br>
	George: I wasn’t worried about Dino’s arrival because he’s been here before. He’s brought in some good signings so far, they just need time to settle in.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: Jon Stead is usually a handful when we play you and Vaughan in the middle adds more experience to a strong side.<br>
	George: Not really sure about the player Im worried about facing from Notts County but I would probably have to say Kane Hemmings after having a decent season with Mansfield last year.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Greg: 1-0 Boro. Ben Kennedy to score.<br>
	George: 3-0 Stevenage with Revell, Ball and Kennedy to score.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final Comments from Sam and Chris</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Both Sam and Chris would like to thank Greg and George for their responses for the interview ahead of Saturdays clash against Stevenage. Stevenage will be looking to install some consistency in their results with a win last week. Final prediction from Sam is a 2-1 win to Notts with Hemmings and Boldewjin being the scorers, while Chris’s prediction being all square with a 0-0 draw.

<p>
	<u><strong>Fan Introduction</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Name: Rodney Boulton
</p>

<p>
	Age: 45
</p>

<p>
	How long have you supported Exeter? I have supported Exeter for 27 years.
</p>

<p>
	Are you a season ticket holder? Yes, I am a season ticket holder.
</p>

<p>
	Favorite Player: Jayden Stockley
</p>

<p>
	<br>
	<u><strong>How do you think Exeter have done so far this season in terms of form and expectations for the season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Considering the managerial change, from Tisdale to Taylor we’ve made a good start despite recent results.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Which player left in the summer who you think could have been needed this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Jordan Storey but the money was too good to turn down.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who has been your star player this season so far?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Jonathan Forte but he’s been a big miss for the last couple of games due to him being injured.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who is the biggest threat when going forward and why?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I would say Forte again. He’s got great pace and is good support for Stockley.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Does the style of football championed by Matt Taylor bode well with the fans?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Matt Taylor wants to promote a more attacking style of play and we do have the players to execute this new philosophy here at Exeter.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>As an opposition fan, which player are you most worried about facing from Notts County?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Jon Stead will be the biggest threat in my opinion due to his height, strength and experience.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Finally, what will be your score prediction for this game along with the goal scorers?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	It’ll be a close game but I'll go for a 2-1 home win for Exeter with Stockley and Forte providing he is fit to be the goal scorers.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Final comments from Sam</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I am proud to announce that the Opposition View will be a returning feature that me and Chris will be taking on the responsibility.
</p>

<p>
	Me and Chris would also like to thank Rodney for his time to answer a few of our questions for the members of Pride of Nottingham to read and interact with.
</p>

<p>
	Finally, Sam’s score prediction is 2-2 with Stead and Hemmings being the scorers for Notts and Chris’s score prediction is 1-1 with Kristian Dennis to score for the Magpies.

<p>
	Notts County are back in League Two action this weekend with a home game against one of League Two's trickier propositions, Exeter City.
</p>

<p>
	The Grecians topped the table earlier in the season and remain well in promotion contention as they sit fifth in the table.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham has spoken to Exeter fan Matt to get an insight on Saturday's opposition.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About Matt:</strong> I'm 27 years old, been supporting the team as far back as I can remember, and my favourite player is Richard Logan.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How have Exeter City done so far this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	On the whole it's been fantastic, we picked up from where we left off last season and went top of the table and even though our form has gone a bit wobbly - mostly due to the poor away form - we're still just a point off third place, so it's all up for grabs!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Was 2017 a good year for the Grecians?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Definitely. From bottom of the table in November 2016 to a playoff place and a trip to Wembley, obviously it was a massive shame not being able to get the job done against Blackpool but having picked up from where we left off, it's a great platform and we hope 2018 can see Exeter finally go up!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who has been your standout player this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Jayden Stockley, our record signing, has had a brilliant campaign so far, with 13 goals in all competitions. Apart from being a clinical finisher, he's also able to pull off stunning pieces of skill, like when he flicked the ball over that Morecambe defender before scoring in our 4-1 win a couple months ago.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>What's your favourite memory as an Exeter fan?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	The 1-0 win at Rotherham on the last day of the 2008-09 season, which gave us our second successive promotion - from non-league to League One in two years. What an amazing day that was!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Where do you think you'll finish this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	If we can sort out our away jitters and keep on performing and getting results at home, there's no reason why we can't finish in the top three. Even Luton and Notts, who seemed like they were shoe-ins for 1st and 2nd, are beatable on their day, so there's bound to be a lot more twists and turns this season.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Score/scorer prediction?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I'll go for 2-2. Grant is probably the best player in League Two so he could get one or two for you, but Holmes and Stockley to get ours.
</p>

<p>
	It feels like an age since we were last in League Two action given the glut of festive football followed up by the FA Cup and then nothing for a whole week!
</p>

<p>
	But here we are again in league action as we take on local rivals Lincoln City at Sincil Bank this weekend.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham has spoken to Imps fan Sam to get an insight on the opposition for Saturday's short trip away.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About Sam: </strong>I'm 25, been supporting the team since I was a kid with my dad taking me to games, and my favourite player of all time is Simon Yeo.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How have Lincoln done so far this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Amazingly. As a promoted side, there's always that anxiety in the back of the mind of how we'll do in the higher up league, but to be sitting in the playoffs and boasting such great form, we can keep on dreaming of back-to-back promotions, but we're just enjoying the ride.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How would you say 2017 has been for the Imps?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	If things are going superb this season, the calendar year was pretty much perfect. The FA Cup run was the stuff of dreams and then ending the season with promotion before continuing the good form in League Two, well let's just say we hope 2018 will be just as amazing.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who have been your standout players this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Most of the squad has been superb, but Michael Bostwick - what a signing he's been. He's a beast in midfield and in our Checkatrade game against Rochdale the other day played centre-back and was immense. But really, I can name so many quality players - Matt Green, Alex Woodyard, Neal Eardley, Harry Anderson and Matt Rhead just to name a few.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Are you happy to see Terry Hawkridge delivering for Notts?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Absolutely. His goals secured Lincoln the title last season and even though many fans didn't want him to leave, it's fair enough for him to join his hometown club. Also he didn't celebrate when he scored against us so yeah, happy to see him prospering.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Where do you think you'll finish this season?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I would love a top-seven finish and a go at the playoffs, though promotion may be a bridge too far this season. I'll be delighted with a top-half finish and hopefully the squad can develop even further and mount a proper promotion challenge next year.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Score/scorer prediction?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	2-0 to Lincoln, Matt Rhead with both goals!
</p>

<p>
	Once again, League Two will be put on ice for the time being because it's FA Cup time!
</p>

<p>
	Notts County have successfully navigated through two tricky ties in the opening two rounds, beating League One Bristol Rovers and non-league Oxford City to earn a tie at Championship side Brentford.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham has spoken to Bees fan Will (<a href="https://twitter.com/WillBoy65" rel="external nofollow">@WillBoy65</a>) to get an insight on Saturday's opposition.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About Will:</strong> I've been supporting Brentford since I was 3 and my favourite player is Charlie McDonald.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Brentford have been on the up this decade - how do you feel the club has been run?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I think we were at our peak 3 years ago under Warburton and then “Moneyball” came in and we didn’t like it at first but then we got Dean Smith at the end of the season and since then we’ve been improving every game.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>The Bees had their own "Leicester/Watford" moment against Doncaster in the final game of the 2012-13 season - tell us about your emotions on that day.</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Our manager was shouting “Let Kevin O’Connor take it” but Marcello Trotta stepped up and hit the bar. I was thinking "keep it in there" but the ball was cleared to the halfway line and then they scored. I was in tears and I was heart broken because we were a kick away from the Championship but if you look now the tables have turned dramatically.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>One of County's most loved players of recent times, Alan Judge, plays for Brentford. What do you think of him?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I think he is one of our best players of the last 10 years or so and I was devastated when he suffered a broken leg but he scored a brace for our B team a couple of weeks ago and is now on the bench which is good.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Similarly, you had Martin Allen at the helm and he's viewed fondly by Notts fans. How did he do at Brentford?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I didn’t really watch Brentford when he was in charge, I didn’t go to many games when I was younger, but my granddad who goes every game says he was a good manager for us and fit in at Brentford quite well.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>What is your favourite memory as a Brentford fan?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I think my best memory was either when we finished 5th in our first season in the Championship in over 20 years or when we went to Fulham on Good Friday and beat them 4-1 and we scored in the last minute I still remember that day clearly in my mind the atmosphere was electric it was also improved by the fact that they are our rivals
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who are your danger men?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I think definitely Canos because he can turn nothing into an amazing chance like the other week he picked it up just about the halfway line ran towards the box hit one and hit the bar. I also think our new signing Marcondes is a good player - he hasn’t played yet but he scored 37 in 112 appearances for his old club, and Ryan Woods is a good little midfielder who I don’t think stops running all game he wins the ball back a lot and gets a few assists quite often.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Can we get your score and scorer predictions?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I’m gonna say a 3-2 or 2-2 game because I think we will play well but it depends on what team we put out because we’re only 6 points away from the playoffs so Smith might play a weak team if he wants to focus on the league, but he might play a strong team if he wants league and cup so I don't really know but I think it’s gonna be close.

<p>
	The festive period continues to bring forth football action as Notts County, fresh from a <a href="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/home/reports/match-report-notts-county-put-four-past-morecambe-at-globe-arena-r2239/" rel="">4-1 win away at Morecambe</a> on Boxing Day, prepare for two games in three days, starting with Swindon Town away.
</p>

<p>
	The Robins sit a very modest 11th in the table with 35 points, putting them within reach of the playoffs.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham has spoken to Swindon fan Robert to get an insight on Saturday's opposition.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About Robert:</strong> I've been a Swindon fan since I was a kid, going back to the early 2000s, and my fave player is Sam Parkin.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>1) Swindon finished fourth in League One in 2015 but were relegated into League Two two years later. What happened?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Tim Sherwood happened. He was appointed as "director of football" but he was in charge of "all football-related matters" including tactics and training, while at the same time Luke Williams was their head coach but had his hands tied. The whole thing was a farce and after relegation, he just left and said "this wasn't a job, I wasn't getting paid".
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>2) How do you think this season's gone so far for the Robins?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	We've been woefully inconsistent. Superb on the road, dreadful at home. The best example is being able to beat Luton 3-0 on their own turf but get hammered 5-0 at the County Ground.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>3) You currently sit 11th in the table, three points off the playoffs. Do you fancy yourselves for promotion?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	It's very tight in mid-table at the moment and the playoffs are a massive scramble at the minute, but unless Swindon can improve their home form, they're not going to make the playoffs.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>4) Ralf Little was reported to have had a trial with Swindon a few years ago, was he any good?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Feels like a few but it was about 12-13 years now? Time goes way too quick! But no, he wasn't taken on as Andy King said he wasn't good enough - that said, the rest of the team at the time wasn't much better... he's on the celeb football circuit though, doing charity games, so that's about his level which is no bad thing.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>5) Who are your danger men?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Luke Norris is our top scorer with 9 in 18 games, he was superb in September but since then his form's tailed off a little, he's still getting the odd goal though and if the rest of the team puts in more of a shift, we'll hopefully see him back on form.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>6) Score/scorer prediction?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	It's at home, cue collective groans from fans... but I'm not going to predict a loss for my team, so I'm saying 2-2, Norris and Woolery with ours.
</p>

<p>
	For all the excitement of reaching the third round of the FA Cup (and the ensuing anti-climax at drawing Brentford away), all that must now be stashed away until next month because now it's time to refocus on the league.
</p>

<p>
	And as fixtures go, this weekend's encounter is probably the most taxing we are bound to have all season (except for an away derby) - Luton Town away.
</p>

<p>
	The Hatters are top of League Two and their goal difference is frightening - they've been smashing goals in all season (48 scored in 20 games) and have a mean defence (18 conceded).
</p>

<p>
	Ahead of Saturday's crunch clash at Kenilworth Road, Pride of Nottingham spoke to Luton fan James Hall (<a href="https://twitter.com/LTFCJames98" rel="external nofollow">@LTFCJames98</a>) to get an insight on the opposition.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About James:</strong> I'm 19 years old been a fan from as young as I can remember, and my favourite player is Marek Stech.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q1: What led to Luton's slide down the Football League and into the Conference, including that infamous 30-point deduction in 2008-09?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	The sale of key players for club record fees in our last Championship season and Mike Newell's demand for replacements capable of keeping us up failed as there were many sales and replacements were very few and far between. From then we struggled and just slid down the leagues until we eventually got our -30 in the 08/09 season. Possibly the worst season for us Luton fans.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q2: It took four years for Luton to go back up into League Two - how did you navigate the non-league period and what finally led to the club going back up?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Every season we played in the non-league we found ourselves high up in the tables, often missing out on automatic promotion due to lack of consistency unfortunately. After several heartbreaks in the playoffs, some fans were starting to think it wasn’t ever going to happen. However, after employing an experienced non-league manager in John Still in 2013 things seemed to take a turn for the best, in his first full season as Luton manager we ended the season as champions, no doubt because of the goals of one man, Andre Gray! What an enjoyable season that was.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q3: Do you think the club would be in a different position had they stayed in the top flight when it was rebranded as the Premier League instead of going down the season before, like Notts did?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Yes, without a doubt because the influence of the Premier League money would have enabled us to make positive changes, since then money has become a massive factor! I won’t complain too much though, much more competition and passion down here!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q4: The club has two main colour schemes, white and black, and orange, navy and white. Why is this the case, and which is your favourite?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	I’m not too sure why the colour scheme changed, however I do know that the black and white was used first back in 1920, then it was modified to the orange which has been used mostly since. My favourite has to be the famous orange of Luton Town, puts a bright noticeable colour into the stands of Kenilworth Road!
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q5: Luton are right up there at the top of League Two and boast an impressive goal difference - do you think you'll win the title and what other three teams do you think will go up into League One?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	With the squad we have to hand this season it’s difficult to see us not getting promoted, our goal difference at this stage is phenomenal, scoring 7 three times this season! Of course we are flying but there are also a few other teams that have the squad capable of such things. Notts are having a strong season as well, sitting on the same amount of points means they are right on our backs. For me, I think we will win the league, however it will get close! Notts, Exeter and Wycombe are my other promotion candidates.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Q6: Who are your danger men, and can we get your score and scorer prediction?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Danny Hylton is definitely one to watch with 13 this season but also more recently and surprisingly Dan Potts, our left-back, scoring 6 this season. My prediction For Saturday is Luton 3-1 Notts. I think we will step up now against second place and produce probably our best result of the season, Hylton scoring two and Luke Berry getting one with your star player Jorge Grant getting your goal!

<p>
	We're 19 games into the season and top spot in League Two keeps changing hands more often than a game of "pass the parcel".
</p>

<p>
	Notts County were top of the table until Tuesday night, when a 1-1 draw at Yeovil Town saw Luton Town return to the top on goal difference (and theirs is pretty darn high).
</p>

<p>
	But this weekend we go again and the team standing between the Magpies and three points is Colchester United, who currently sit in a very healthy ninth place in the standings.
</p>

<p>
	Pride of Nottingham spoke to U's fan John to get an insight on the opposition as well as what it's like supporting the club.
</p>

<p>
	<strong>About John: </strong>I'm 26, my dad used to take me to games since I was a kid but I've been properly supporting the U's since I was 14, and my favourite player of all time is Karl Duguid.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>How did it feel to win the "Pride of Anglia" title for the first time in the club's history when you finished above Norwich and Ipswich in 2007?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	It was great, that season was amazing, 10th in the Championship was our highest ever finish and it was funny to upstage those two teams, even if neither are our greatest rivals - Wycombe hold that distinction.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>You famously beat Norwich 7-1 away on the opening day of the 2009-10 League One season but then Paul Lambert defected to them and led them to the title - what are your thoughts on that whole debacle?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Let's just say he's not remembered very fondly here. He did a good job with us, there's no denying that, and beating Norwich 7-1 away was an incredible occasion, but to leave right at the start of the season shows what kind of snake he is. There's nothing wrong with personal ambition but to leave us in the manner and timing that he did left a bitter taste.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>You lost to Oxford City in the first round of the FA Cup and we'll be facing them in round two - any tips on how to approach the game?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	No disrespect to City but we really weren't at the races that day, we really should have beaten them, but all credit to them, they played well. Their striker (Matt Paterson) was dangerous, he scored with a well-taken header, hit the bar from a free kick and had several other chances, so he'll be one to watch, while their wingers were also a handful, so my advice would be not to take the game lightly and to keep their attacking players at bay.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Who are your team's danger men?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	Mikael Mandron has got a decent enough goal tally with six in 18 and is quite skilful, but his goals have mostly been simple tap-ins - he's not the kind that will weave into the box and pull off some magic. Sammie Szmodics has seven in 16 (all competitions) and is back from injury - he's a tenacious attacking midfielder and has a great eye for goal so he's probably the one you should watch out for (though I hope you won't!).
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>Score and scorer prediction?</strong></u>
</p>

<p>
	2-0 to the U's, Szmodics and Mandron with our goals.
</p>
