<p>
	The Pride of Nottingham awards have been finalised. All the comments and votes across all of our social media have been counted, and each poll has been tallied to enable us to narrow down one of the hardest selections for us today.
</p>

<p>
	On the back of a truly amazing season, with many joyful memories made, plenty of goals and wins, it was always going to be action-packed! The club has recruited extremely well, bringing excellent new additions to the squad such as Sam Austin, Macaulay Langstaff and Cedwyn Jones to name a few.
</p>

<p>
	With a squad that was already capable of finishing within the playoffs, who could ever imagine that Notts would enjoy most of the season sitting at the top of the National League in a title race with Wrexham? It’s been a truly remarkable season.
</p>

<p>
	As we finalise the Pride of Nottingham awards, let’s remind ourselves to go to Wembley tomorrow and make the most of another exciting moment in our beloved club’s history!
</p>

<p>
	<em><strong>Pride of Nottingham's Member of the Year:</strong></em>

</p>

<p>
	In the meantime, let’s congratulate <a contenteditable="false" data-ipshover="" data-ipshover-target="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/profile/634-piethagoram/?do=hovercard" data-mentionid="634" href="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/profile/634-piethagoram/" id="ips_uid_3792_9" rel="">@Piethagoram</a> on being voted as the Pride of Nottingham Fan of the Year. This accolade is truly deserved by such a hard-working member.

<p>
	Choosing the Away Game of the Season is no easy task, but the fans have spoken and cast their votes for the game they believe stands out above the rest. In a season where Notts County has broken records and finished 2nd in the National League, narrowly missing out on automatic promotion to Wrexham, there have been many memorable moments to choose from.
</p>

<p>
	Winner: Chesterfield vs. Notts County [Final Score 1-2 on 11/02/2023]
</p>

<p>
	<em><strong>Signing of the Season:</strong></em>

</div>

<p>
	Macaulay Langstaff has been chosen as the Pride of Nottingham's Signing of the Season because he broke records by scoring 42 goals in a single season. He has been a talisman up front for the Magpies and has been ever-present in our promotion push back to the Football League.
</p>

<p>
	Winner: Macaulay Langstaff!

<p>
	With a perfectly placed free-kick which sent the away end at Wrexham into raptures, in a season where 107 goals had been scored. It was always going to prove to be difficult to name which goal truly deserves to be named as the Goal of the Season, however Notts fans took to voting and decided that this is one.
</p>

<p>
	Fancy putting a free-kick in the back of the net at Wembley, John? That would be great tomorrow!
</p>

<p>
	Winner: John Bostock Free-Kick against Wrexham.
</p>

<p>
	<em><strong>And finally, the Pride of Nottingham's Player of the Season<span>:</span></strong></em>

<p>
	Since joining Notts County as a free agent in 2021, Matt Palmer has shown himself to be an exceptional midfield powerhouse, always putting in the hard work and determination required to succeed.
</p>

<p>
	As a key member of the squad, he has become an indispensable presence at the heart of the Notts County midfield. In 2022, his performances have been nothing short of outstanding, and he fully deserves to be named as the Pride of Nottingham Player of the Season.
</p>

<p>
	Congratulations Matt Palmer!

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_05/articleimage.jpg.2862b66b7a789061aa350b02869cd1d1.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Last Sunday at Meadow Lane, Notts County made a stunning comeback from 2-0 down to beat Boreham Wood 3-2 in the National League Playoff Semi Final. The winner of this match would progress to the final and have the opportunity to secure promotion to League Two. The Magpies’ victory was secured by a brace from Aden Baldwin and a goal from Jodi Jones.
</p>

<p>
	The atmosphere at Meadow Lane was electric, with vocal support from both Notts County and Boreham Wood fans. The Magpies’ had even placed a material banner reading “Come On You Pies” on the seats of every fan in the KOP to add to the occasion.
</p>

<p>
	Boreham Wood took the lead in the 37th minute with a goal from Femi Ilesanmi, followed by a second from Lee Ndlovu in the 45+3rd minute. However, Notts County fought back in the second half with Aden Baldwin scoring in the 47th minute and again in the 90+7th minute. In the dying moments of added time, just before the match would have gone to penalties, Jodi Jones scored the winner for Notts County in the 120th minute.
</p>

<p>
	Colin Sisson, a Notts County fan who attended the match with his family, described the atmosphere at Meadow Lane before and during the match as electric. "It felt like an event," he said. "Even when we caught the tram, with fellow Notts fans sharing nods of apprehension as we got closer to the ground." The unseasonal sunshine added to the excitement, with fans wearing their shirts and making their way to Meadow Lane together. "What an atmosphere was created by the Trent Navigation too!" Colin exclaimed. "I walked part of the way with my lads just as The Wheelbarrow Song was sung, and we all just stopped and smiled."
</p>

<p>
	When asked about how the fans reacted to the 2-0 deficit, Colin shared that his eldest son cried. "To be honest, I wasn't far behind him," he admitted. "He'd witnessed us lose playoff semis against Coventry and Grimsby either side of a relegation, so the emotion was completely understandable." In the Family Stand, there was no anger, just stunned silence as Notts County had dominated a fair proportion of the match.
</p>

<p>
	In Colin's opinion, there were two turning points in the match for Notts County. One was tactical: Borehamwood had been successful in pressing and crowding the middle of the pitch, meaning Notts often tried to operate out wide or in the half-spaces between the centre and flank. However, their full-backs were dogged in their job and suppressed Chicksen and Nemane quite well. The introduction of Jones and his skill against tired legs meant he got the better of wide positions, reflected in a goal and assist. Cedwyn Scott also deserves praise for his directness, which caused chaos and concern in the latter stages.
</p>

<p>
	The second turning point was more unexplainable. Colin shared that he muttered silent prayers towards the memorial of Jason Turner. "I'm not religious in any way," he said. "But I simply asked that all the effort of this season - including his - should not be forgotten. And what happened next won't be forgotten for a very long time."
</p>

<p>
	When asked about how fans celebrated after Notts County's victory, Colin described scenes of joy at Meadow Lane. "The emotional whiplash of Jones' goal was pretty vicious and seemed to take an age to register with me," he said. "I must've checked for an offside flag about five times before the realisation sank in that we'd somehow turned this around." Colin grabbed his coat and bag and told his kids they were going on the pitch. "We'd watched Portsmouth and Luton celebrate on Meadow Lane - it was our turn," he explained.
</p>

<p>
	"The look of absolute joy on my two's faces will stay with me forever," Colin shared. "They touched the grass, sang their hearts out, and punched the sky." He was also delighted to shake hands with Luke Williams and congratulate him on playing such a significant role in making it all possible.
</p>

<p>
	Looking ahead to the National League Playoff Final against Chesterfield, Colin admitted it's hard to have solid expectations when it still feels like such a dream. "But we have to be realistic too - Chesterfield pose a substantial threat," he said. Dobra and Colclough have the ability to pin Notts County's wing backs which could nullify how they like to build attacks. "So the significant battles may be won and lost in the middle of the pitch," Colin explained. However, if Palmer, Bostock, and Rodrigues rise to the occasion as they know they can, Colin remains hopeful.
</p>

<p>
	Ryan Raynor, another Notts County fan who has supported the club for 14 years, shared that he can't even put into words what the club means to him. "It is the one thing at the end of every week that I look forward to: getting down to the lane with my fiancé, my brothers and my sister, and cheering on the Magpies," he said.
</p>

<p>
	When Notts County fell behind 2-0, Ryan admitted that he lost his head. "I was so angry because of the manner in which the goals were conceded, especially the second," he said. He didn't think they would be able to come back, knowing Borehamwood's defensive record. "But my God, it was the best feeling when that second goal went in," he exclaimed.
</p>

<p>
	Ryan described the comeback and eventual victory as massive for both the club and its fans. "A chance to get back into the EFL after the season we have had," he said. "In my opinion, we deserved to go up automatically." The roar from the fans when that second goal went in was unlike anything he had ever heard before. "It means the world to all of us," he said.
</p>

<p>
	Matt Wyer, another Notts County fan who used to attend every home game and around 5 or 6 away games, shared that he now attends fewer matches due to having two young children. He usually attends matches with his dad, wife, and uncle.
</p>

<p>
	When Notts County fell behind 2-0, Matt admitted that he thought the tie was over. "I said to a few people I know that we could not let Boreham Wood score 1, never mind 2, as I knew they’d sit back, and they have the best defence in the league," he said. "I was gutted."
</p>

<p>
	As Notts County started their comeback, Matt shared that he knew it was possible because he had seen them play some amazing football this year. "But when we scored the first goal, I thought due to the opposition it would only be a consolation," he said. "How wrong was I!" When the second goal went in, Matt cried. "We were 50 or so seconds away from bowing out," he said.
</p>

<p>
	When asked about how he celebrated Notts County's victory, Matt shared that it was all a massive blur. "I know it ended with me on the Meadow Lane pitch with everybody else who also got a bit carried away," he said. "What a win!"
</p>

<p>
	Looking ahead to the National League Playoff Final against Chesterfield, Matt is quietly confident. "We have already beaten them at their place under pressure, and we have come from 2 behind at home to draw 2-2," he said. “We have the ability.” The only thing that slightly worries him is that it’s a local derby in a cup competition and anything can happen. “However, who would bet against Notts after Sunday?” he asked.

<p>
	Wrexham’s co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney will be travelling to Wembley to support their National League rivals Notts County in the play-off final, according to the club’s captain.
</p>

<p>
	Last month, the two teams played a crucial match where Wrexham, funded by Hollywood, won 3-2. Former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster saved a penalty in injury time. Wrexham has since secured promotion and won the league title.
</p>

<p>
	While Wrexham players have been celebrating their victory in Las Vegas, County is preparing to face Chesterfield in the final. They hope to return to the football league after being relegated in the 2018/2019 season.
</p>

<p>
	Reynolds and McElhenney have praised Notts County, who finished the season with what would have been a record 107 points. Wrexham was four points ahead with 111.
</p>

<p>
	Wrexham’s captain Ben Tozer revealed on TalkSport that the co-owners will fly back to the UK from the United States to support Notts County.
</p>

<p>
	He said: "I know a few of lads who play for both teams, actually. I might be going to the game on Saturday. Fortunately or unfortunately we missed having to play those games (National League semi-finals) they sounded pretty epic.
</p>

<p>
	"Rob who was out there with us, he took the time to stay up to watch the games. In fact, I believe him and Ryan are flying over to watch the game on Saturday. That’s something they want to honour. We are genuinely all rooting for Notts County because of the way they pushed us this season, and we think they’re the ones who deserve it."
</p>

<p>
	Reynolds and McElhenney have expressed their support for Notts County quite openly. After winning promotion, Reynolds stated: "We are rooting for Notts County. We want to see them go up to League Two and face them next year. They're incredible.
</p>

<p>
	"I have such enormous respect for everything they've built and everything that they've done, and it's just insane for me that only one goes up automatically.
</p>

<p>
	"It's something Rob and I feel quite strongly about."

<p>
	Aden Baldwin couldn’t have chosen a better time to score his first goals for Notts County. His brace ensured their play-off match against Boreham Wood went into extra-time, before the Magpies won in a dramatic fashion.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County secured their spot in the Wembley final this Saturday (3.30pm kick-off) after coming back from a two-goal deficit to beat Luke Garrard’s team on a memorable afternoon at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	Despite being behind due to goals from Femi Ilesanmi and Lee Ndlovu, Notts only needed two minutes after the break to get back into the game when Baldwin struck the ball into the bottom corner from distance.
</p>

<p>
	But when it seemed all was lost, substitute Jodi Jones delivered a dangerous ball from the right that central defender Baldwin headed home to double his tally for both the afternoon and the season.
</p>

<p>
	When questioned about his opinion on the match, Aden Baldwin stated: "I don't even know how to explain it,
</p>

<p>
	"It is one of the best feelings I have ever felt - for Jodi to cut in and hit it as hard as he did, I just needed to connect with it, which I did, and I had that realisation that we could only go on to win the game from there. It sent shivers down my spine. It was just a surreal feeling."
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams’ side emerged victorious and booked their place in this Saturday’s final against Chesterfield. Jones’ effort found the back of the net with assistance from a touch by Joe McDonnell’s fingertip, sparking wild celebrations at Meadow Lane with supporters flooding onto the pitch.
</p>

<p>
	"It just shows the togetherness between us, the staff and everyone involved with the club, along with the fans. It was a great feeling and we're off to Wembley now."

<p>
	Jodi Jones, the match-winner for Notts County, has declared that his 120th-minute winner against Boreham Wood was one of the greatest moments of his professional career.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies overcame a two-goal deficit to secure their spot in the National League play-off final in one of the most thrilling matches the fifth division has ever witnessed.
</p>

<p>
	Substituted in for Adam Chicksen, the 25-year-old blasted the ball past Joe McDonnell in the final moments of the game at Meadow Lane - his first goal since joining on loan from Oxford United in January.
</p>

<p>
	Jodi Jones elaborated on the significance of scoring the goal that propelled Notts to Wembley, he said: "I would say it was up there with one of the best moments in my career.
</p>

<p>
	"I have had, not to take it back to these moments, but I have had some tough times when I have been at previous teams when I have got to the play-offs, I have always had to miss it, and it has always been a sad time for me and my family, but that just tops of everything - it is an amazing feeling."
</p>

<p>
	However, the Magpies didn't have an easy time, as they were trailing 2-0 at half-time due to goals from Femi Ilesanmi and Lee Ndlovu.
</p>

<p>
	Jones described the half-time message he gave to his teammates before being brought into the game - emphasising his eagerness to come on and make a difference under such challenging conditions.
</p>

<p>
	"When we were 2-0 down, it was a gutting feeling, but I said to the boys myself that we could have been three-nil up in the first 15 minutes, so why can't we score three goals in the second half?
</p>

<p>
	"After that I was itching to get on because after that I knew I could get at their full-backs and new I could get the better of both of them and I knew what I could do when I got on the pitch.
</p>

<p>
	"I was excited to get on and to get an assist and a goal and I can't really ask for more than that."
</p>

<p>
	The final whistle was met with joyous celebrations from the home fans, who took to the Meadow Lane pitch to congratulate this exceptional team of players.
</p>

<p>
	"It was crazy to be fair, I didn't expect it, but the fans were quality, and they have backed us all the way, and they did not stop singing.
</p>

<p>
	"These are the things might not understand how much the fans have pushed us, so without the fans we would have never been able to win the game today, and we would never have been to be where we are in the season."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_05/articleimage.jpg.ac36b0865f2dfb2e782e0340947fd0d0.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Notts County manager Luke Williams has discussed how the goal his team conceded against York City last weekend could benefit his players in their upcoming play-off semi-final against Boreham Wood on Sunday afternoon.
</p>

<p>
	In the final league game of their impressive National League campaign, the Magpies had to settle for a draw when Shaq Forde scored an equaliser in the 89th minute, securing The Minstermen’s place in the fifth division for next season.
</p>

<p>
	Macaulay Langstaff had put the hosts ahead with his 42nd goal of an outstanding first season for Notts, breaking a record in the process.
</p>

<p>
	In spite of a strong first-half showing, Williams’ side was unable to extend their lead due to an outstanding performance by York’s goalkeeper Ryan Whitley. He made several key saves, including two late attempts from Adam Chicksen and Cedwyn Scott.
</p>

<p>
	Even though Notts had 19 more shots, 75% possession with 841 passes and an xG of 2.75, it was a disappointing set of match statistics in another game where they dominated.
</p>

<p>
	Having conceded only 42 goals this season, second only to Luke Garrard’s team, the Notts head coach thinks that Forde’s goal is a timely warning of what can happen in a single knockout match.
</p>

<p>
	"Yeah, I agree with that for sure, and I think that when you dominate a game so much and you naturally the players feel like they huffed and puffed to try and get that second goal, it didn't happen, the game is nearly finished, so we can relax.
</p>

<p>
	"They're human beings but, we have to try and push them to be better, and even the top, top professional will be there for every moment, so that was a good opportunity for me to say to the players that in a game where the numbers were so lopsided in terms of the chances we created to the opportunities we gave up.
</p>

<p>
	"But football is beautiful because it is - otherwise you might as well leave after the first goal if football is as simple as that.
</p>

<p>
	"It's brilliant, but we are still always trying to do better."

<p>
	Notts County came close to securing automatic promotion to Wrexham, even though they amassed over 100 points. According to Manager Luke Williams, Notts County’s exceptional season does not necessarily make them the top pick for promotion in the National League play-offs.
</p>

<p>
	Notts will compete against Boreham Wood in the semi-final on Sunday, with the winner advancing to the Wembley final six days later.
</p>

<p>
	Notts ended the season 35 points ahead of Boreham Wood in the standings and set a new record of 107 points for a team that finished second in the league.
</p>

<p>
	Luke Williams spoke to BBC Radio Nottingham, he said: "I don't know who makes us favourites?
</p>

<p>
	"It's a different competition, so I'm not sure how we are equated as favourites - that one is strange.
</p>

<p>
	"If you just say the teams that are higher in the league are more favoured to win then I suppose that is a simple way to make that assessment."
</p>

<p>
	In any previous season, Notts’ points tally would have secured their automatic promotion back to the English Football League. However, Wrexham’s division-record 111 points earned them the title and promotion.
</p>

<p>
	The difference between Notts in second place and Boreham Wood in sixth was greater than the gap between Sunday’s rivals and the relegation zone.
</p>

<p>
	Despite this, Williams asserts that the events of the previous 46 games - including the club-record 32 league wins and 117 league goals - will have little impact now that the competition has become a knockout format.
</p>

<p>
	"The mentality around this tournament now and the one that just finished are very different," Williams added.
</p>

<p>
	"We have to be ready to win the game in front of us and not look at what we have done in the past."

<p>
	Macaulay Langstaff has had a record-breaking season with Notts County and there’s no telling where his career will go from here. He’s hoping to cap off his first season with the Magpies by achieving promotion.
</p>

<p>
	Despite initial doubts about his ability to adapt to a new league and environment, Langstaff has proven himself by scoring 42 goals in 45 games. He’s set new records for the most goals in a league season for Notts and in the National League and is the first player to win three Player of the Month awards in a single campaign.
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff’s achievements have been recognised by his peers and fans alike. He’s won both the Players’ and Fans’ Player of the Season awards, presented by Magpies' legend Les Bradd. Langstaff even shared a brief conversation and warm embrace with Bradd before taking to the Meadow Lane pitch and scoring another record-breaking goal.
</p>

<p>
	In an interview with the Nottingham Post, Macaulay Langstaff spoke about the relationship he has with Bradd and how Bradd has played a pivotal role in helping him uncover and further develop his goal-scoring touch.
</p>

<p>
	He said: "It's been unbelievable. He always has a laugh and a joke with me every time I see him and about the goals he scored, and he always says don't try and beat my record for one season!
</p>

<p>
	"He's been so good for me, he has given me tips ever since I first came to the club - he met me on one of my first days here, and he was telling me about the club and the history of it and things like that.
</p>

<p>
	"I see him more or less every single game when we come in on a Saturday or a midweek game, he is always stood there shaking the lads' hands.
</p>

<p>
	"When you see a figure like that when you walk into the club, it gives you that motivation to go on the pitch because he always has nice, calm words and for him to deliver me those awards on the pitch, it was an unbelievable feeling for me."
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff arrived at Notts County from Gateshead along with teammate Cedwyn Scott after the pair scored a combined total of 54 goals in all competitions for Mike Williamson’s side. Langstaff quickly made his mark by scoring two goals in a 3-0 win over Maidenhead on opening day at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County is now just two games away from returning to the Football League after a four-year absence and the possibility of back-to-back promotions has become a reality. Langstaff is using his title-winning experience to help his team’s push for promotion and has noted how the dressing room at Meadow Lane differs from the one he experienced last season.
</p>

<p>
	"I have noticed a few differences, but more similarities.
</p>

<p>
	"Obviously last year was a very successful one for myself and Cedwyn also came with me from Gateshead after winning promotion, so we tried to add that little experience in the dressing room, but we have got that experience all over the pitch - we have winners in there.
</p>

<p>
	"I think I have tried to add that coming from Gateshead as well - there are a few differences, obviously this team is full of leaders, full of winners, and some lads that have played at the top level and Gateshead wasn't necessarily like that.
</p>

<p>
	"But in terms of similarities, there are many."
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff is close to playing on the Wembley turf and could return two more times after the National League season ends. The 26-year-old, born in Stockton-on-Tees, is a lifelong Middlesborough fan. Michael Carrick’s team has secured a place in the Championship playoffs after an impressive turnaround at the Riverside Stadium since Carrick took over as manager.
</p>

<p>
	Langstaff’s grin grew wider as he spoke about his childhood club, and said: "Yeah definitely,
</p>

<p>
	"They have got into the play-offs, and they could potentially be at Wembley two weeks after we potentially get there, and I have always said I would love to add another trip to Wembley, so hopefully they both lead to victories because that would be unbelievable and probably my dream season."

<p>
	Adam Chicksen has recently spoken out about the impact that Notts County boss Luke Williams had on his decision to extend his stay at Meadow Lane. Earlier this week, the Magpies defender signed a new two-year deal with the club, following an exceptional season in which he netted a career-best 11 goals in all competitions.
</p>

<p>
	Chicksen’s performance this season has been nothing short of remarkable, with the defender scoring more goals than he has ever managed in the entirety of his professional career. It’s clear that Williams’ influence has played a significant role in Chicksen’s decision to remain at the club for another two years.
</p>

<p>
	The future looks bright for both Chicksen and Notts County, with the defender’s new contract signalling his commitment to the club and its ambitions. With Williams at the helm and Chicksen on the pitch, fans can look forward to more exciting performances and hopefully even more success in the seasons to come.
</p>

<p>
	"It was massive," explained the 31-year-old on the impact the current Notts boss in committing his future to the club for another two years.
</p>

<p>
	"The style that he brings to the environment, everything that he has brought is so valued to how I live my life and how I act and treat everyone, he has very similar core values to myself.
</p>

<p>
	"It makes you want to play for him, he is a great person not just a great head coach, so it makes you want to work and play harder.
</p>

<p>
	"He has set up space for all of the younger lads to flourish and for me, it gives me so much energy seeing that. Being in my early 30s it has given me so much energy seeing so many lads improving in such a short amount of time, it just shows his passion for the game - he's doing a great job."
</p>

<p>
	Chicksen has been a key component of the Magpies’ success this season, consistently providing a goal threat and delivering tireless performances on the left-hand side. The Zimbabwean is predicted to be among the top contenders for league and club awards at the end of the season.
</p>

<p>
	Before their most recent game against Maidstone, Chicksen had started 43 of 44 games this campaign. However, he was given a rest for the journey to the Gallagher Stadium, with Frank Vincent filling in as wing-back and making his first start for the club in the National League this season.
</p>

<p>
	The 24-year-old has made a strong impression since returning from his loan spell with Aldershot, adapting to a position he is familiar with having made his National League debut for Torquay at left-back. His tireless efforts and energy as a substitute have earned him the admiration of Magpies fans and Chicksen himself.
</p>

<p>
	"He's done brilliantly to come back in and be so willing and open to learning and being moved into a new position and having no arrogance, or no feelings of disappointment about being moved into a different position, but seeing it as an opportunity.
</p>

<p>
	"He has been learning and improving, asking me questions along the way and being open to putting the shirt back on and feeling no disappointment about having to go out on loan and learn so many more techniques about himself, to come back and apply them you can see the progress.
</p>

<p>
	"That is someone willing to learn and someone willing to improve, and the manager has seen that and given him a chance and he has been brilliant in the last few weeks in training, and that's why as a team, me being in a similar position, it's not me coming out of the team and I need to feel anger towards him, to see him work so hard and to go in, we all support each other and that is how we are going to get to that collective position of success."
</p>

<p>
	Last month, Vincent referred to Chicksen as a ‘role model’ and emphasised the influence he had on both himself and the rest of his team-mates.
</p>

<p>
	Chicksen, along with Sam Slocombe, Connell Rawlinson and Jim O’Brien, are viewed as the more seasoned members of this current group of players. The Magpies defender underlined the importance of imparting his own experiences to his team-mates and those in the academy to sustain the success fans have enjoyed this season.
</p>

<p>
	"It's massively important - they are going to look towards us for guidance and if we don't pass on our knowledge, what is the point of me carrying on in this game?
</p>

<p>
	"Because if you can't pass on your knowledge to youngsters and help them to take that further and into the next generation of football, you're doing a real injustice to the next generation.
</p>

<p>
	"If you don't pass on stuff that you have learned, for them to take it further it's not going to keep the football moving in the direction that's beneficial.
</p>

<p>
	"I'm happy to pass on my knowledge and happy to show every day, and they have to open to it, and they are learning, and you are seeing the results from that."

<p>
	Luke Williams, the manager of Notts County, made a humorous comment about his press coverage after a video was posted on the club's social media platforms showing him chasing a deer away from the training ground. The players were apparently impressed with their manager's agility and persistence.
</p>

<p>
	The Magpies are gearing up for their last league match of the National League season, which will be against York City at Meadow Lane this weekend. They hope to carry their momentum into the play-offs, following Wrexham's title-winning victory over Boreham Wood last Saturday.
</p>

<p>
	During preparations, a deer found its way onto the training pitch and ran around as the cameras rolled. In the video, the Notts head coach can be seen trying to catch the animal, while his players applauded his efforts. Eventually, the deer left the training ground, leaving Williams out of breath.
</p>

<p>
	"Yeah, I have just about got my breath back - it's actually not my first rodeo with this kind of situation," Williams revealed when asked about the situation.
</p>

<p>
	"My good friend David Coles a goalkeeping coach at Bristol Rovers and a real amazing guy, he is a real animal lover as well, and we actually found a deer caught in the net behind the goal that catches the ball when you do finishing practice.
</p>

<p>
	"On that occasion I had to actually wrestle the deer to the ground because the net was caught around the antlers, and he gave my good friend David a right good kick just below the knee - it put him in hospital I think."
</p>

<p>
	Recognised for his strategic influence on the current group of Notts players, Williams was present to investigate further the brilliance that orchestrated the departure of the deer from the training ground - acknowledged by some of the Magpies team.
</p>

<p>
	"It was actually a milder version when the deer was already free - myself and the staff I am not sure on the video if you can see the staff, we make a brilliant press, I think Ruben (Rodrigues) and Sam Austin are quite impressed with the way we pressed the deer and kept him in one corner and force him off the training pitch.
</p>

<p>
	"I was really happy with the staff, we have everything clipped up in the meeting to show all the angles of the press and the energy was brilliant."

<p>
	After an impressive season under the management of Luke Williams, Notts County's Adam Chicksen, a defender, has committed to a new two-year deal at Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	Since joining the Magpies in 2020, the 31-year-old player has developed a devoted following among fans for his tireless displays and has now earned the status of a cult hero.
</p>

<p>
	In addition, Chicksen has significantly enhanced his skills to become a potent attacking threat, scoring 11 goals in all competitions this season. This accomplishment is particularly noteworthy given that he had only scored seven goals in his entire career before this campaign.
</p>

<p>
	The board of directors and head coach Luke Williams have issued a joint statement which states: "We’re delighted to reward the immense contribution Adam has made to the club.
</p>

<p>
	"As a player, we think he has a very unique skillset – incredible stamina and determination which compliment his qualities at both ends of the pitch.
</p>

<p>
	"As a person, he has embraced the club’s philosophy superbly and become an amazing role model for his team-mates, leading by example day-in, day-out.
</p>

<p>
	"He’s a huge asset in so many ways, and we know our supporters will share our happiness that he has committed his future to us."
</p>

<p>
	Adam Chicksen's decision to extend his stay at Notts County is a huge boost for the club and its fans. The defender's tireless displays and impressive attacking skills have earned him the status of a cult hero, and his commitment to the Magpies for another two years is a testament to the progress the club has made under the management of Luke Williams.
</p>

<p>
	With Chicksen on board, Notts County will be looking to build on their success in the upcoming season and continue to make strides towards their ultimate goal of promotion.

<p>
	In their 5-2 victory over Maidstone, Notts County midfielder Jim O’Brien scored his second hat-trick for the club.
</p>

<p>
	Despite a second-half scare when George Elokobi’s side scored two goals in two minutes to reduce the lead to one, Notts County’s superior first-half performance made the difference.
</p>

<p>
	O’Brien doubled Luke Williams’ side’s lead in the 15th minute after Cedwyn Scott opened the scoring following a mistake by the Stones defence. O’Brien scored his second on the hour mark when Frank Vincent’s effort fortuitously landed at his feet on the edge of the box. He completed an excellent individual performance with a penalty kick.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to BBC Radio Nottingham, Jim O'Brien said: "It was a bit surreal, when Ruben was tripped in the box I knew he was going to give it to me, so fair play to him.
</p>

<p>
	"It was a tough time in the game as well to see us through, and it's a nice feeling, but at this stage of the season it was all about the three points, and we know goal difference could come into play too so to get that three-goal swing back was really nice."
</p>

<p>
	As the full-time whistle sounded, the travelling Notts contingent breathed a huge sigh of relief as they secured their 15th away win of the season. A tradition at Meadow Lane this season has been for one of the Magpies players to give a huge fist pump to the supporters.
</p>

<p>
	This time it was O’Brien’s turn as he clasped the match ball and made his way over to the away section. His previous hat-trick came two years ago when Coronavirus prevented supporters from being in attendance. The midfielder explained the emotional feeling behind his celebrations with the fans following the full-time whistle.
</p>

<p>
	"When the game kicked off after the penalty, I got a little bit emotional when they were singing and that was a nice feeling.
</p>

<p>
	"The last one was during Covid with no supporters, but I will take it, and I am really pleased that the lads dug in and solved our problems - that was the most pleasing thing along with the three points."
</p>

<p>
	After Wrexham were confirmed as champions following their 3-1 win over Boreham Wood, Notts will now have to go through the play-offs to end their four-year stay in the National League.
</p>

<p>
	O’Brien explained after the game that his side is fully prepared for the play-offs, and he will do everything in his power to ensure Notts gain promotion this season.
</p>

<p>
	"We have been focused on the play-offs for the last couple of weeks, so we are prepared.
</p>

<p>
	"It would mean everything to win promotion because I was here when we came down and every year we have got that little bit closer and the people around the club deserve it, the supporters deserve it, and I think from what we have produced this season, we deserve it.
</p>

<p>
	"But we have to go and do it, no one is going to give it to us, so we have to keep working hard and keep doing what we are doing."

<p>
	Wrexham AFC has secured the National League title with a stunning come-from-behind victory over Boreham Wood at the Racecourse Ground. Co-chairmen Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney were present to witness Phil Parkinson’s men recover from an early setback and emerge as 3–1 winners in front of over 10,000 fans.
</p>

<p>
	After the game, the Hollywood duo paid tribute to the Reds fans, top goalscorer Paul Mullin, and title challengers Notts County in an interview with BT Sport. They were visibly moved as the team secured their first silverware since the takeover in 2021.
</p>

<p>
	Paul Mullin scored twice, and Elliot Lee added a header to clinch the victory against an impressive Boreham Wood outfit chasing promotion to the Football League. Wrexham’s final game as a non-league outfit will be against Torquay United at Plainmoor next week.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to BT Sports, in the post-match interview. Ryan Reynolds said: "I am not sure I can process what happened tonight, I am still little speechless."
</p>

<p>
	"'Why Wrexham?' [when people ask], This is why Wrexham. This happening, right now, is why."
</p>

<p>
	When asked about the significance of Wrexham’s return to the Football League and what it means to supporters, McElhenney stated: "I think the sound of the town speaks for itself."
</p>

<p>
	"It’s a time of celebration and be welcomed into their community and be welcomed to this, it is the honour of my life."
</p>

<p>
	Reynolds praised Notts County, who were long-time title challengers and pushed Wrexham to the limit. He stated: "This entire story, the reason we are all on edge of our seats is because Notts County are so damn good.
</p>

<p>
	"They deserve to go up. We are rooting for Notts County. We want to see them go up." McElhenney then signed off by exclaiming: "Paul Mullin is one of the greatest football players in the world."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_04/articleimage.jpg.a6b37969df4d60efcf9044d06182bd8b.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Luke Williams, the head coach of Notts County, has emphasised the importance of pushing hard in the remaining two games of the National League season. Williams wants his team to take advantage of any mistakes made by the leaders, Wrexham.
</p>

<p>
	Following their 3-0 victory over Yeovil on Tuesday evening, Phil Parkinson's side is four points ahead of the Magpies. However, a win against Boreham Wood this weekend would secure the title for Notts County before the final day of the season.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the recent setback suffered in the defeat at the Racecourse Ground, Notts County bounced back with a 3-0 win against Woking at Meadow Lane last weekend. However, Williams was not pleased with his team's first-half performance, which he described as disappointing. The team headed into the interval goalless, having created very few chances and struggled to maintain possession due to the away side's relentless pressing.
</p>

<p>
	When asked about addressing the first-half display, Williams stated that the team's sole focus is on producing a better performance when they travel to Kent this weekend.
</p>

<p>
	"We had many excuses if you want, but we have the option, and we have to choose whether we want to use the excuses or push for better," Luke Williams told BBC Radio Nottingham.
</p>

<p>
	"We have to push to be better and to overcome our feelings and not be affected by things going on around us or because we have a certain amount of points and we potentially we don't get anything for that.
</p>

<p>
	"All those things are irrelevant, and we have to make sure our minds are focused on the performance, and there was enough in there to win the game, but it is certainly something that had to be highlighted and as a group, we have had to face up to that and try to make sure we give a better account of ourselves in the whole game next time out."
</p>

<p>
	Despite amassing a triple-digit score and scoring numerous goals, Notts County's quest to return to the English Football League on their fourth attempt may be decided this weekend.
</p>

<p>
	Wrexham is aware that securing three points against Boreham Wood will bring an end to their 15-year spell in the National League. Nevertheless, Williams has stated that his team is motivated to capitalize on any errors made by the league leaders. He also emphasizes the significance of maintaining their winning mindset and momentum if that is the route they have to take into the playoffs.
</p>

<p>
	"To go into these two final fixtures feeling like we don't want to push ourselves, and we don't want to play as well as we can possibly play and give everything to the cause, would be a mistake because potentially there is a change elsewhere and Wrexham do manage to somehow not win their games.
</p>

<p>
	"If we didn't win our games, we would feel like we missed a massive opportunity, so we have to remain driven to win, but that will also protect our mentality potentially going into the play-offs.
</p>

<p>
	"We have to remain focused and try to win our remaining two games."
</p>

<p>
	As this weekend's rivals, Maidstone, have already been relegated, some may assume that only one outcome is likely, given the divergent paths the teams have taken this season.
</p>

<p>
	Nevertheless, the head coach of Notts anticipates another arduous challenge for his squad, stating, "Maidstone no longer have any pressure on them and can now play with a newfound freedom."
</p>

<p>
	"I think players will be trying to show up well so that they are in the plans going forward whether they are trying to make a jump to another club to try and impress - and that can be difficult to play against.
</p>

<p>
	"Sometimes when you play a team that is close to a bad situation, they can become anxious and that may affect their performance - and equally with a team chasing a huge goal it can become anxious also, and it can become a problem for them.
</p>

<p>
	"There is an unknown with a team that has already suffered their worst fear, now it is up to them about how they want to approach the game, and we're anticipating a really tough game against a team who has freedom and energy and want to try and impress."
</p>

<p>
	With the possibility of the play-offs approaching, it is crucial to have a significant number of players available at this phase of the season.
</p>

<p>
	In the latest developments, Williams has received Cedwyn Scott and Richard Brindley back, who were absent for a considerable part of the season due to injury. The club's latest signing, Junior Morias, also made his debut for Meadow Lane last weekend, despite suffering from a minor issue sustained at Dagenham and Redbridge.
</p>

<p>
	"Everyone is training, but we do have a few guys that are nursing small problems, but nobody is completely off the training pitch," Williams explained when asked about the shape of his squad for the trip to Kent this weekend.
</p>

<p>
	"We have some sore bodies as you can imagine at this stage of the season - we have a number of players that have been carrying issues for a while now, and they don't go away if you don't rest.
</p>

<p>
	"We are there or thereabouts, there are one or two that we are looking after, but I think we will have a very healthy squad to pick from for the game."

<p>
	Notts County Football Club has opened up voting for their player of the season, following an impressive campaign in the National League 2022/23 season. The club has two remaining league games in the regular season and secured 2nd place on 25th March 2023 with a superb 4-0 win over Scunthorpe United.
</p>

<p>
	Their journey to the playoffs was not without its challenges, as seen in their closely contested matches against Boreham Wood and Gateshead, both of which resulted in draws back in August 2022. This placed Notts in 6th in the National League 3 games into the season, with Barnet and Chesterfield sitting joint top on 7 points.
</p>

<p>
	After 8 games undefeated, Notts lost in a shock result to Dorking Wanderers on 17th September 2022. The semi-professional club based in Surrey defeated Notts at their home ground Meadow Bank 3-1, courtesy of a James McShane hat-trick.
</p>

<p>
	Notts then pushed on, forming another successful undefeated run of 25 games, defeating promotion rivals Wrexham at Meadow Lane 1-0, Wealdstone 1-6 at Grosvenor Vale, and Dagenham &amp; Redbridge 5-0 away at Victoria Road.
</p>

<p>
	So far, Notts have scored 111 goals and conceded only 39, hitting the 103 mark, with a potential 109 points remaining. The National League title is still yet to be claimed, despite Wrexham having a game in hand and sitting on 104 points.
</p>

<p>
	One standout player for Notts County this season was left-back Adam Chicksen, who has scored 10 goals and put in many stellar performances. Forwards Macaulay Langstaff and Ruben Rodrigues are also in good contention as the players have scored a combined 58 goals, 41 of which were scored by the player fans dubbed the "Non-League Harland".
</p>

<p>
	In addition to signings such as John Bostock, who scored a brilliant free-kick in their match against Wrexham on 3rd January, the goal gave Notts County the lead, but Wrexham managed to come back and secure a 3-2 victory.
</p>

<p>
	Consistent players throughout the 2022/23 season include Matt Palmer, who is the heartbeat within the Magpies' midfield. Cedwyn Scott, who has scored 14 goals, mostly featuring from off the bench due to the tactical formation of head coach Luke Williams. Sam Austin is currently in superb form on the back of scoring a brace against Woking.
</p>

<p>
	As the oldest professional association football club in the world, Notts County has a long and storied history. They will be hoping to add to that history by securing promotion to the English Football League in the upcoming season.
</p>

<p>
	The club's fans have until the end of the season to vote for their player of the season, and the winner will be announced at the end-of-season awards ceremony.

<p>
	Luke Williams, the Notts County manager, has clarified the rationale behind the tactical alteration that saw Jodi Jones and Adam Chicksen swap positions during their victory over Woking. In what was a challenging first half for the Magpies, the Notts coach felt that a change in tactics was necessary to break down the compact and determined Cardinals defence.
</p>

<p>
	After the interval, the home side was able to turn on the style, with two goals from Sam Austin and a second goal of the season from substitute Aaron Nemane, reducing the gap to only one point behind leaders Wrexham, with just two games remaining in the season. Notts' improved quality in the wide areas as the game progressed was a significant factor in their eventual ability to break through the Woking defence. Nevertheless, Jones and Chicksen were still unable to locate Macaulay Langstaff within the penalty area, and the Notts number nine was visibly frustrated throughout the game.
</p>

<p>
	When questioned about the change in personnel, Williams explained his thought process behind the decision and how it can benefit his team as the play-offs approach.
</p>

<p>
	Notts County's tactical adjustments were vital in their win over Woking. Now, the team is concentrating on the upcoming fixtures to preserve their momentum for the playoffs.
</p>

<p>
	Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams expressed his reasoning behind the tactical switch: "Because Jodi naturally is a dribbler and he wants to infield to try and affect the game,
</p>

<p>
	"We need to create the best chances in this team at this moment in time from the outside. So, Jodi can go on the outside even with his weaker foot because he doesn't have a weak foot really,
</p>

<p>
	"He can go to the outside to create chances but he was reluctant - so then he goes on the left and he was very first action. He hit an incredible ball across the box like a rocket and into the zone which is the best place to put a ball and we almost score and it immediately gives us a completely different feel.
</p>

<p>
	"In recent weeks when Adam Chicksen has played on the other side, I think he has done great - he made a brilliant run in the last home game.
</p>

<p>
	"Then slid the ball across the box perfectly from the right-hand side, so I have confidence that Chicks can play on the right, but I needed Jodi to play on the left because I wanted his left foot to be the tool.
</p>

<p>
	I wanted him to feel more comfortable to take the outside of the pitch."

<p>
	Luke Williams has clarified the absence of two players from his Notts County team during their loss to Wrexham on Monday. Aden Baldwin and Richard Brindley did not participate in the Magpies' 3-2 defeat at The Racecourse Ground, despite featuring in the previous game against Wealdstone three days prior.
</p>

<p>
	During the 3-0 victory against Stuart Maynard's team, the pair played in the back three, with Brindley making his first start for Notts in nearly three months. Brindley had been battling a recurring back injury that he sustained earlier in the season.
</p>

<p>
	Baldwin suffered an injury during the Eastleigh game in March, which caused him to miss three matches before returning for the Good Friday fixture. The reasons for their absence in the match against Wrexham were not disclosed.
</p>

<p>
	Ahead of Notts County's upcoming fixture against Woking, the team's head coach, Luke Williams, has provided an update on the absent defensive pairing of Aden Baldwin and Richard Brindley. Both players were absent from the team's recent 3-2 defeat against Wrexham, and their absence was not explained at the time.
</p>

<p>
	However, Williams has now stated that the two players are likely to feature in the upcoming game against Woking. Speaking to the Nottingham Post, Luke Williams said: "What's behind it is that both guys had not played for a while.
</p>

<p>
	"They played against Wealdstone and were not recovered in time to go again in such a short turnaround.
</p>

<p>
	"That was disappointing for us because we want every single player available, but fortunately it is nothing serious, it was purely the fact they hadn't recovered in time to feature."
</p>

<p>
	Notts County is scheduled to compete against Woking on Saturday. Luke Williams' recent update on the defensive pairing for the upcoming game has left fans feeling hopeful for the Meadow Lane fixture this weekend.

<p>
	Frank Vincent has emphasised that he and his fellow Notts County players will maintain their focus on one game at a time, following their latest results in the National League. The Magpies have surged back to the top of the table, having secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Wealdstone. Goals from Sam Austin, Macaulay Langstaff, and Vincent have helped to take their points tally to a record-breaking 100 for the season. It's the first time in the club's history that they have achieved this feat.
</p>

<p>
	However, the excitement wasn't just confined to the Meadow Lane ground. Just before Vincent scored Notts' third goal, cheers erupted around the stadium. Fans received news of Milli Alli's second goal of the game, which put Halifax Town 2-1 up against Wrexham. These cheers echoed throughout the stadium as people headed for the exits. Mani Dieseruvwe added a third goal late on to inflict only the third defeat of the season on Phil Parkinson's side, ahead of their highly anticipated match on Monday.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the impressive victory, Vincent and his colleagues remain mindful of the importance of taking each game as it comes. They know that maintaining their focus will be crucial to achieving their ultimate goal of promotion to the Football League.
</p>

<p>
	"It's been a mad title race with them, we have ultra respect for them as a team because they are just relentless," Vincent told BBC Radio Nottingham on how he views the title race after today's results.
</p>

<p>
	"It is going to go right to the end, and we're trying not to focus too much on them, and it's just one game at a time, and today it was Wealdstone, and now we have to focus on our next match and get the three points.
</p>

<p>
	"We know it is going to be tough, but we have to keep pushing."
</p>

<p>
	On an emotional day for everyone associated with the football club, supporters, players, and coaching staff paid their respects to the late Jason Turner who sadly passed away last week. Vincent also spoke about the difficulties of dealing with the situation heading into the game. He hoped that the performance from himself and his teammates made Jason Turner proud yesterday.
</p>

<p>
	"Today's result is a great dedication to Jason.
</p>

<p>
	"Everyone has had that personal connection with him, he's a great guy, was full of energy, always smiling, and anything you needed to be done he was there to do it, he would have been proud of us today so really well done to everyone involved.
</p>

<p>
	"It's been really tough - when the gaffer told us the news it was really shocking for all of us, and it has been hard to get over that shock really, he will be a big miss to this club.
</p>

<p>
	"It is going to be virtually impossible to replace, but all my thoughts are with Jason and his family and I hope we made him proud today."
</p>

<p>
	Vincent became the 16th different scorer for the club in the league last season with his strike that afternoon. He was the first to react to Cedwyn Scott's rebound and smashed the ball beyond Sam Howes, rounding off the perfect afternoon for the Magpies.
</p>

<p>
	"Every time I come on I just wait for that opportunity to come, and today it presented itself in the best possible way.
</p>

<p>
	"It bounced up perfectly and I believed in myself and I knew I was going to smash it home, buzzing!"

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_04/articleimage.jpg.541d59754af5b5f3739f884f8d452f25.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Notts County boss Luke Williams is relentlessly pursuing perfection, having amassed 100 points and 106 goals this season. He was pleased with Friday's 3-0 win over Wealdstone at Meadow Lane, but remained critical of his side's first-half display, despite Sam Austin's sublime finish on eight minutes putting his team in front at the break.
</p>

<p>
	Halifax Town's Milli Alli played a starring role as they upset the odds to beat Wrexham in a significant game for the National League. The Magpies have been matching Wrexham stride for stride throughout this campaign, and continued to do so with a comfortable win over Wealdstone.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the scoreline, Notts County faced some nervy moments in defence during sustained pressure from Wealdstone in the middle part of the first half. This forced Williams' side to play long, departing from their usual possession-based style of play.
</p>

<p>
	Williams remains determined to see his team thrive in the remainder of the season, pushing for the playoffs as Notts County continue to play their part in this remarkable National League campaign.
</p>

<p>
	"To be honest, we were up against a team that played an incredibly high line." Said the Notts County boss, Luke Williams.
</p>

<p>
	"When the keeper comes out to advance with the ball, there is no space to play football, and they were very brave in doing that, so then we tried to exploit the spaces in behind them.
</p>

<p>
	"Once you do that, if you do not capture the ball behind the lines you have to then jump and press them, so it became a game of two teams with very high lines, very brave in their play, and willing to press each other.
</p>

<p>
	"At times, it was the most sensible thing to go more direct but, I don't think that we did that quite well enough, but the guys recognised that situation, and we study this kind of thing, so I think the decision was right to play more direct at times, but probably the execution was a bit wrong."
</p>

<p>
	Ahead of Monday's crucial match against Wrexham, Notts County was without three players in their matchday squad against Wealdstone. Among the absentees was goalkeeper Sam Slocombe, with Archie Mair stepping up to put on another impressive display in his place, showcasing his confidence and composure gained from his previous three league outings.
</p>

<p>
	"I am the only head coach in the National League for sure with three first-choice goalkeepers," Williams said on the decision that awaits him on Monday afternoon for the trip to north Wales.
</p>

<p>
	"I am very lucky, but also I have a big headache, but it's fantastic really because who wouldn't want to have three goalkeepers who all play so well?"
</p>

<p>
	Defender Geraldo Bajrami and Ruben Rodrigues were the other two players absent from the matchday squad. Rodrigues was forced off during the win over Altrincham due to the difficult playing surface. Ahead of the upcoming fixture against Phil Parkinson's side, Williams provided details on their involvement.
</p>

<p>
	"Baj has played incredibly well but we monitor the fatigue score, and his was quite high, so I felt in order for us to have the maximum for us to pick from, we need to remove him from his duties today, but he trained before the game, so we can monitor what he is doing and give him the correct workload.
</p>

<p>
	"And Ruben trained as well this morning and trained brilliantly with no reaction, but we need to undergo a different type of training with him tomorrow to see that we can tick off everything if he comes through before the game on Monday."

<p><img src="https://prideofnottingham.co.uk/uploads/monthly_2023_04/articleimage.jpg.0a9094631893086a844a8f323a5fb7d8.jpg" /></p>
<p>
	Luke Williams, the manager of Notts County, has clarified that the timing of his team's games is inconsequential, following the most recent rescheduling of their National League fixture. The Magpies were originally scheduled to play against Woking, who are in third place, at 3pm on April 15th. However, the match has been pushed back to 5:30pm to facilitate its broadcast on BT Sport live from Meadow Lane.
</p>

<p>
	Similarly, Wrexham, who are currently the league leaders, have had their fixture against promotion contenders Barnet rescheduled for the same day, with the match at The Hive Stadium now beginning at 12:45pm. It is unsurprising that the fixtures involving the top two teams in the National League have been selected for television coverage, but Notts fans are far from pleased.
</p>

<p>
	Since the beginning of the season, there have only been six 3pm Saturday kick-offs at Meadow Lane. Moreover, the National League's latest update confirms that Notts' final Saturday 3pm match of the season against York City has also been moved to 5:30pm. This has left fans of the club feeling frustrated with the constant changes to their team's fixture schedule, which they believe has negatively impacted their ability to attend games and offer their support.
</p>

<p>
	Despite the fans' dissatisfaction, Williams has emphasised that the timing of the games is not a concern for the team. The manager believes that the team's performance on the field is not dependent on the time of their matches, and that his team will be able to handle any changes to their schedule. As Notts County continues to push for promotion to the Football League, Williams and his team remain focused on their goal, regardless of the timing of their matches.
</p>

<p>
	"No, we don't look at it like that at all," Williams replied when questioned about whether the frequent changes in fixtures could be viewed as a disadvantage in light of their league position.
</p>

<p>
	"I think quite honestly it is irrelevant as to when we kick-off, we only have to make sure that we change our preparations at times and that is not a big deal to us.
</p>

<p>
	"We haven't even looked to see whether this is an advantage or a disadvantage, it quite honestly does not register to us and when we know the kick-off time, we work backward through our schedule to make sure that we arrive at the right place at the right time to play football."
