Community Guidelines
We take pride in maintaining a respectful, pleasant, and enjoyable environment for members of all ages on our message boards. Please read the following guidelines before posting.
Self-Promotion is Spam:
All posts are reviewed by our administration and moderation team. If we detect questionable content, it will be promptly removed. Any post that is deemed to be advertising for one's own interests, including promoting any affiliated sites or similar football communities, is prohibited.
While you may include links to your website in your signature, you are not allowed to post links to sites you manage or have an association with in your posts unless you obtain prior permission.
Additionally, users are not permitted to post any affiliate program links with referrer IDs. Repeat offenders who post promotional content will face permanent bans.
Language and Trolling:
Our community is family-friendly. We cater to young users, therefore, language should be kept at a PG-13 level. Vulgar language is strictly prohibited.
This includes the use of any offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise inappropriate material deemed unsafe for younger members. Posts containing inappropriate language will be removed and users will be warned. Do not post provocative, outrageous, or pointless messages solely to elicit a response from others, i.e., "trolling." Repeat violators will be banned.
If it is clear that a user does not intend to make a positive contribution to the site and exhibits a combative and negative attitude, they will be banned.
This especially applies to the Entertainment & News board. Users must show a genuine interest in contributing to our discussions, as this is a Notts County fan site. Users who only wish to argue politics are not welcome, as they do not contribute positively to the site and are not worth the hassle.
Personal Attacks:
To maintain a positive atmosphere, personal attacks or insults are not tolerated. While debates may become heated, it does not justify personal attacks or insults.
There is a distinction between a passionate, respectful debate and one that devolves into personal matters. Think of it as debating issues, not individuals.
When the line is crossed, posts will be removed and the discussion may be closed by the moderation team. Violators will be warned and potentially banned.
Moderation Policies:
Moderators and administrators have the final say. If you have a problem or complaint, direct it to the administrators and/or moderators, not the boards. Appropriate actions will be taken.
Moderators may edit, move, hide, or even delete content to ensure it aligns with forum rules. By participating in this forum, all members agree to this policy.
We reserve the right to ban individuals and remove posts with or without prior warning.
Cross-Posting:
If you are unsure which board your post belongs in, do not post it on more than one board. If the administrators or moderators think it fits better in another location, it will be moved there. Duplicate threads only create confusion.
Signature Rules:
A typical signature contains the poster's name, e-mail address, website, and a favourite quote or saying.
Excessive font size is not allowed.
Anyone abusing this privilege will be warned and then have their signature removed until they acknowledge this guideline. Please keep signatures to a decent size; this means not exceeding 7 lines, and overly large banners/images will be removed.
Multiple Accounts:
Multiple accounts per individual are not permitted. If you forget your password, please use the password recovery tool to reset it, provided your account email address is accessible.
If you are still unable to log in, contact the administrator.
Duplicate accounts can be merged, provided users offer clear evidence that they are the rightful owner of the account they can no longer access. Account merging is handled exclusively by senior admins.
Copyright Concerns and DMCA Requests:
Pride of Nottingham takes no responsibility for members who steal, plagiarise, or otherwise violate copyright laws.
If you believe that your copyrighted material has been used without permission, please submit a DMCA take down request. Contact us directly with the details, and we will take effective action to remove the offending content if the complaint is found to be valid.
Members found violating copyright laws will be warned and banned. We strive to manage content responsibly, and any member caught or reported for violations will be dealt with accordingly and their content removed.
Threats against the site will be addressed legally to protect our reputation.
Legal Representation:
The Pride of Nottingham has legal counsel. Threats or legal issues concerning the site will be addressed appropriately through our legal counsel to protect our reputation and interests. If any false claims or issues are raised, we reserve the right to seek recovery of legal costs and damages through the legal system.
Privacy Concerns:
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Any personal information collected will be used in accordance with our privacy policy and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.
Reporting Mechanism:
If you encounter any problems or see content that violates our guidelines, please report it to the moderation team using the reporting tools provided.
Community Contributions:
We encourage positive contributions from all members. Your active and constructive participation helps make our community vibrant and enjoyable.
Escalation Process:
If an issue remains unresolved or if you have concerns about the handling of a situation, please escalate it by contacting the site administrators directly for further assistance.
Amendment Clause:
By using the Pride of Nottingham website, you consent to the rules, guidelines, and privacy policies that are in place to protect the site's reputation.
These guidelines may be updated periodically to reflect changes in our policies or community standards. Members will be required to agree to the updated terms whenever changes occur. A consent message will appear and must be acknowledged before further use of the site.
Final Reminder:
Please follow the above guidelines when posting on our message boards. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Above all, remember to have fun!
