England v Slovenia, Pre & post Match Analysis.
Kane's playing with a Back Injury. If that's the case Why play him? England are through to the Knockout Stages. Rest Kane get him fully fit for the next match give Ollie Watkins a go tonight plus there are other Strikers Southgate could try but..... Well let's wait and see.

I'm Oblivious To It?
@CliftonMagpie It comes across to me that Gareth Southgate sends out mixed Messages and seems to contradict himself. The thing is with England they have been Hyped up by the Media, with statements such has England were Favourites or among the Favourites to Win the Euro's. They Big everything Up, the Players Jude Bellingham is the Best Player in Europe, Harry Kane as Scored over 40 goals in the Bundesliga, an English Man Phil Foden is the Premier Leagues Player of the season 2023/2024.. So it's only Right the Fans have Great Expectations and when the 3 Lions don't live up to those Expectations, then Criticism is bound to come. Think about it, many England fans who have travelled to Germany have done so, buy saving up their Hard earned cash to buy Tickets for the England Group games and stay in Expensive Hotels, with England through to the Knockout Stages it will mean a Greater Cost for some Supporters to stay and follow the Team. And what the 3 Lions have served up so far you can Understand their Disappointment and Anger. Then they wheel out the England Captain to State that Tournament Football is Tough. England Players are To Tired To Press and all Manner of Excuses Pundits Criticises the Media Criticise is it any wonder that Fans are going to jump on the Bandwagon? It's the same all over Football, you only need to look at the Current situation at Notts. Fantastic Signings Stuart's got his own Squad Now, should the Magpies hold on to Macca and Jodi what are the Notts Fans going to Expect? League 2 Champions, or Automatic Promotion or Promotion via the play offs at the Very Least. Anything else will be classed as Failure, then the Fans are going to Start Moaning. Oh they're just Fine Weather Fans, I think Notts will have lost those type of Fans by Now, a vast majority will have Gone after the Disaster of Last Season. Even Genuine Fans Moan, and after following the Magpies for over Forty Years I've just about seen everything Football As To Offer.

Macca to Swansea?
Even the BEEB have picked up on this Topic. Of course it's all On Line Talk according to them. But when Luke Williams was questioned about it He said That's a Different Question. I think it should have Read That's a Difficult Question. But the article Ends On A Positive Note For Notts Fans. Macca said It would Take Something Incredible For Him To Leave The Lane. @Robbie You have some Excellent Points There Buddy.

I'm Oblivious To It?
I'm Oblivious To It? No Not Me, the words of England Head Coach Gareth Southgate, when asked about the Criticism of his England Team. Is that because You walk around with Your Head Stuck Up Your Arse then Gareth? How can he Not be Aware of the Disgruntled feelings of England Fans and Football Pundits? It's Not Important To Me. Then you're aware of the Criticism? But You Just said you were oblivious to it? It's make Your Mind Up Time Gareth. I'm My Own Biggest Critic. Well You Ain't Listening To Yourself Then, Are You Gareth? And this Person is Who the F.A Pin Their Hopes on to Lead England To Euro's Glory. He wouldn't know which way a Lift Went, Even If He Had Two Guesses.

Matt Palmer Interview & Catch up.
BOY Did Notts Miss this Guy last season, his play and influence on Games were Greatly Missed, hopefully Matty will come back all Guns Blazing and Help the Magpies Push Forward.

Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Chris Thanks for the Documentary Chris, I'd not seen it before. Despite it being Hard to watch in Certain Places, when listening to Jeff's Daughter Dawn at the start in particular , bought back memories of my Mum, I'm Glad I watched it and I appreciate the Up Load.
-
Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Robbie That is So True about Mum's. But at least there is Comfort in the Fact Despite Mum Forgetting Things at least she did remember all her Kids (Mixed my sisters up a few times) Grandkids and Great Grandkids. So that was a Blessing.

England v Slovenia, Pre & post Match Analysis.
@Robbie As you say England need to Win and Win Big. But if that is the case and the 3 lions Win 4-0 Fans and Pundits will expect the same the following match. The Trouble is as History shows England Have one decent match per tournament (remember England beating Holland 4-1 and Spain in a Penalty Shoot Out? During past Tournaments) Then they Go Back into the Old Familiar Routine. Then the inquiry will begin Why were England So Poor, So on and So forth the Media will ask and the same Conclusion and Right Conclusion By the Fans will Emerge, the England Team haven't got the Right Man in Charge. This refers to Southgate and many of his Predecessors.

Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Robbie My Mum passed away with Dementia, heart failure killed her. But her Dementia started after a Slight Stroke she had, and I can never remember her Heading a Football.

England v Slovenia, Pre & post Match Analysis.
@Robbie You Reckon? England thanks to results in other Matches are through to the Knock Out Stages. Their Best Performance at the Euro's yet. Expect another Dismal Tippy Tappy pass it sideways then back to the Keeper kind of Performance. Southgate doesn't know how to play any other way. However should the Players ignore their Coach, and play with Style and Flair and to the Best of their Abilities then a Team ranked 52 places below England could be in for a right Tabbing as it should be. But what EVER YOU DO @Robbie DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH.

Macca to Swansea?
@Up the Maggies Just his appearance will be enough to Start Tongues Wagging. Was there anyone from the Press there ? If so How long will it be before we read about Swansea's double bid for Macca and Jodi?

Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Chris In addition to the Sports you mentioned, Boxers while they are Amateurs they wear Full Head Gear, But once they Turn Professional the Head Gear is taken away ???
-
Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Fan of Big Tone I don't think the Idea of a Player wearing head protection, would be approved by the F.A but then again it may be considered. Peter Cech the former Arsenal Goalkeeper wore Head Protection, but that was due to a Medical Condition. Weren't certain bones in his Skull thinner than normal peoples? I think I either read that or heard it in an Interview he gave. Further more would Players wont to wear Protective Head Gear? Some wear face masks to protect a Broken Nose, but I'm not sure about Head Protection. A Clash of Heads will always happen, I remember Derby's Roy Mcfarland wearing a Bandage during a Match after a Clash of heads. And I'm sure lots of PON Members will Remember the horrific Blood Splatted Images of Terry Butcher who despite his injury played on for England during a Game. It may end up that Players are Given a Choice whether to wear Head Protection or Not.
-
Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Chris You are right basically back when these players were playing Nothing was known about the problems of heading a Football could Cause. Medical theories weren't advanced then as they are today. Neither was Dementia a Headline illness back then, it was called or referred to as Senile Decay. Something some Old People Suffered From. Suing people no matter how much money you get, wont Bring your Loved one back.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
When Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II opened Buckingham Palace to the Public for the first time, my Mate Dave and his Missus went down for a visit. While on a Guided Tour they stopped to Admire a couple of Painting and other items the turned and found themselves alone, the Tour had moved off with out them. They wondered around and got Completely Lost. Then a Chap in a Naval Uniform ( yes I wondered) came through out of a nearby room and asked Are You Lost? I'm afraid so replied Dave Not to worry said the Naval Gent. Simply go to the end of this corridor turn left and the second exit along will bring you back to the Tour. Thanks Very Much said my Mate. Him and his wife were about to set off when a Fanfare sounded. Who's that? asked Dave's wife That's the Queen declared the Naval Gent By Gum said Dave She plays a mean Trumpet.

Joe Kinnear's daughter says heading contributed to his death
@Piethagoram Over the past few years the Deaths of Players from the 50's and 60's have been linked to the Fact of them heading a Football. I believe Jeff Astle and Nobby Styles were two other players who suffered from Dementia in later life which was linked to their heading a Football. The Old leather laced footballs back then weighed around 5 pounds and in Wet and Muddy conditions considerably more. It will be of Little Comfort to the Grieving Families of these Players, but now Thankfully Modern Footballs are a totally different item and are safer to use. And hopefully technology in the making of New Footballs will advance even more, to totally eliminate any Danger of Brain Injuries to Players.

England vs Slovakia
@Robbie Yes I know it was just I was commenting on the Inept Reporting by the Head Football Writer of the B.B.C who in a Report Declared that England were playing Slovakia. Which shows like most Media their articles are Never Proof read. I remember some kid who wrote for Nottingham Live that Derek PARVIS once owned Notts County.
-
England vs Slovakia
Are you like me Looking Forward to the England vs Slovakia Match? That's right the 3 Lions Face Slovakia. According to the B.B.C And We all know the B.B.C ARE NEVER WRONG.

Jokers Wild: Joke Of The Day.
I sat gazing at the Night Sky, a Million Stars sparkled like Diamonds, which had been thrown by some Giant's Hand across the Black Velvet Heavens. Gossima thin clouds raced across the face of a Full Moon, blown by a Cosmic Breeze. The Full Moon Hung in the Night Sky, like a Shield of some Celestial Warrior awaiting his Return. It was then I thought I really need to put A Roof On This Outside Loo.

Notts County Secure Defensive Reinforcement with Rod McDonald Signing
Leadership is what Notts needed and looks Like Rod has it. That's No disrespect to Macca, who's taken over the role of Captain. It's just I feel in a Defensive position Rod will have a wider view of the game and can Marshal the Defence and this will not only help Macca leaving him Free to concentrate on scoring Goals, but his Experience will also Benefit the Younger members of the Squad.

A Faux Pas By The Nest?
Thanks for that @Fan of Big Tone. Apparently an Argentinian B.B.Q is the the type of Grill the Meat is cooked on. I would think that the B.B.Q will be outside, otherwise wouldn't the Smoke set off the Sprinkler System in the Nest?
-
Macca to Swansea?
@Up the Maggies That's interesting Ryan Harley drinking with Joe Palmer. Might be Nothing in it, but as you say Harley wouldn't be leading any talks but there's Nothing To Say He Wasn't Sounding Palmer Out, Regarding a Price then Reporting back to Williams. Would any discussions just revolve around Macca or would they also involve Jodi. I Suppose we'll find out in Time.

Defender Rod McDonald Joins Notts
@Robbie When I saw the title of this Topic. I had to look twice, and make sure it was Rod McDonald and Not Ron McDonald. I thought you were having a Little Joke with us. Another tick in the Defence Box. Hope he also has Leadership Qualities.
-
A Faux Pas By The Nest?
You Know you're right @Robbie. There's Nowt Wrong with Fish Chips and Mushy Peas. Mind you what about a Pot of Mushy Peas and Mint sauce? It's been years since I've had that and how about a Plate of Bread and Dripping? Proper Grub none of this Foreign Muck, Good Stuff That'll Put Hairs On Your Chest and make Your Teeth Curl. I can hear my Arteries Hardening at the very thought.

A Faux Pas By The Nest?
@Fan of Big Tone I've No Idea how to place an emoji on my comments. It took me all my time to get my head around the @ whoever's name I put after it. I'm really Not into Technology. In fact I don't see a Problem with a Pen & Paper. But that's another story.
