  1. He's got at least one more season, and given the impact in tough games this season I can't see how we could let him go. Totally. I was hoping they might bring Jim back when the Saunders brothers left.
  2. I did not see that one coming. We have often heard that players won't be signed just to make up the numbers, but that appears to be exactly what has happened with Junior. Not really fancied by any manager he played under since arriving. Strikers are generally confidence players and need a run in the team to get going but I can't see him getting it, at best a few appearances from the bench waiting for Jatta to return and Traore to get fit. On Traore, he was thrown in sooner than normal after arriving so hopefully just needs time. And it seems they are not sure what to do with Jarvis. Talented lad, again hopefully with some game time we'll see a bit more from him.
  3. Regardless of where we finish in the league, there has been progress - as the starting 11 is vastly different to last season it could be recruitment rather than coaching, but - even when results have not gone our way we have not witnessed the all too frequent capitulations of last term. The improvement in defence has come at the expense of some attacking flair which is reasonable given the urgent work needed at the back. Now that is done we should be able to strengthen in other areas come the summer. This is where we will see a good manager continue to improve the squad. I, for one, hope Stuart Maynard is given the chance to show he can do it.
