They're very well supported but there was a boycott on that end in order to do the protest effectively

I'll say.

2 promotions later and averaging 18000 in the 3rd division. Still a significant defeat today away at Osnabruck has dented their promotion chances. A genuine traditionsverein (traditional club) as the Germans call them.

Still a long way to get back to the glory days of the 70's especially the 2-0 1974 ECWC win over AC Milan in the final. Pommerenke, Seguin, Hofmann, Sparwasser - now those were players...

I take it this is a German team ? And 18k at a third division side anywhere is outstanding

That must be what German football is like then, naturally teams at league 1/2 in england are lucky to get 5000+

English football is all driven by money and Sky, real fans don't stand a chance. Support is a wonderful word, we could see League Two better supported - yet League One, the Championship and Premier League.

I really wished we could replicate this throughout ours but it won't happen.

My grandad has often mentioned times when notts would get 40000 down the lane and even in the 80s/90s we would get 10000 in the top flight, but as you say sky has ruined it all with the big money deals, but I'd love to experience German football one day
