Match Discussion: Game 42 - The Stags (A)

Featured Replies

Well what can you say after that? Typical typical Notts County, one step forward followed by three giant steps back. Yesterday was an absolute disgrace, and genuinely one of the worst days of my life. I travelled up a day before, stayed overnight, caught a total of 8 trains and spent a fair bit of money for that. It was a horrific experience from start to finish. Us that travelled by train were herded like cattle to the ground, then penned into that "concourse" area like caged animals. It was genuinely dangerous, that area was nowhere near big enough to accomodate that number of people. There were people in wheelchairs and young children being pushed around in there, whilst some were clearly drunk and totally oblivious to it all. And it literally took me over half an hour to get served at the tea bar because people seemed to forget how to queue!

As far as the match is concerned, all credit to Mansfield - just as they did at Meadow Lane, they out fought us all over the park, were first to everything, and just generally seemed to want it a lot more, which from our point of view is unforgiveable. The goals we gave away were absolutely disgusting, not even school boys defend that badly. I'd never left a Notts game early until yesterday but once the fourth went in I had to get out, I simply couldn't stomach it anymore.

I don't condone the idiots trying to fight on either side but Mansfield's keeper should be giving a strong warning for his antics whch went ome way to nearly inciting a riot after the 2nd and 3rdd goals. Truly classless and naive on his behalf.

I reember the admin days and trust years, they were dark times but yesterday felt like an all time low for me. If you can't get up for a big local derby like that you shouldn't be playing, and frankly most of those players are not fit to wea that shirt. I genuinely despise this team, and I've decided I won't be attending any of our remaining games until August, I've been mugged off once too often. And if the players have even an ounce of decency they'll decline this week's wages and pay us fans back instead.

We need a major summer clearout, but before all that we need new owners, but who in their right mind would want to buy this mess? Andd woud yo really blame Cooper for walking away if a bigger club came calling?

I hope @magpiejue 's mum and indeed anyone caught up in any trouble yesterday is OK.

I'd like to add my best wishes to anyone caught up in yesterdays mayhem.I hope those idiots responsible for the stupidity are proud of themselves  and return back  under the stone from where they came from.

Mum has a badly bruised foot, but other than that is ok, thank you. Was very frightening and i bet the poor chap in front of us, who was knocked out of his seat, and had some of the idiots falling onto him, had his life flash before him. Best of it was with this chap, was that he'd swapped his tickets with a younger couple who wanted to be nearer the back. Bet he wished he'd gone to his original seat now.
