Sol Campbell's first game for Notts County ended in defeat as Morecambe secured their first win of the season in thrilling fashion.

Morecambe dominated the first half and took the lead when Jim Bentley headed home Ian Craney's left-wing corner.

Craney was again the creator for the second goal, his free-kick converted by Paul Mullin at the near post.

Ben Davies' drive gave County hope but the same player and Craig Westcarr were both denied by the post late on.

I managed to watch the live text on the magpie player, couldn't help but feel it was a one sided game as they appeared to be having a lot of shots and most of the possession. It's a shame the highlights wasn't up to much cop on the "football league show" would of been nice to see if we did give them any sort of game.
