  1. Williams' mixed feelings resonate with a significant number of us fans. It's clear that improvement is necessary, especially when considering that they need to assert themselves in the league season, but we need to remain patient. It's important to allow time for Williams and the team to adjust, find their feet and improve collectively. Pre-season games are meant to be platforms to build up the team's confidence and iron out any flaws, not just to win.
  2. Welcome to Notts, Ollie Tipton. I am glad that we have secured his services for the season. He sounds ideal, especially if we are hit with injuries or fitness concerns. He will give Luke Williams plenty to think about.
  3. The performance of Notts was one of determination, but I wouldn’t criticise Alfreton too much. We are two levels above them and played direct football against the best of the National League, which other teams in the same league struggled with. Alfreton have made a fair few signings, so I would take more note of how Notts played.
  4. Andy Dallas should be more than ideal for Barnsley. People said that Kyle Wootton wouldn’t be able to cut it in League Two, but although it took him some time, he eventually shone. I feel it will be the same for Dallas. You don’t get spotted by Rangers if you don’t have something special. He has enjoyed his time in the National League, and I hope he does well in League One with Barnsley.
  5. It seems like a sensible move for the young player. He probably had other offers, but felt that he would develop more with this club. I wish him all the best.
  6. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham site, to each of you.

  8. Welcome to the PON site, @George L. Get stuck in when you can.
  9. The signing of Tipton is a much-needed boost to our defence. His academy performances and leadership roles all point to a young man ready to step up and contribute significantly at this new stage in his career. It's promising to see that he is confident in his theatricality, as well as being comfortable on the ball. His hope to start attacks showcases his proactive mindset. Let's hope his transition to Notts County is smooth and that it's a symbiotic relationship - we support his personal development and he propels us towards our goals for this season.
  10. The appointment now gives the club plenty of opportunity to bring Joe Palmer up to speed. It’s a position that can be covered by others, and I’m sure this has been the case. The Reedtz will be glad to have someone with experience to help them continue the club’s forward momentum. I don’t think Joe has much to do at first. Getting to grips with the staff and his own role right now is more than enough.
  11. It’s a strange thing to happen, one that I’m still struggling to understand.
  12. I wonder why the club didn’t make the change when the numbers were first announced. I think that’s the story here.
  13. Hello, welcome to PON and the community @Nay123.
  14. Hello, welcome to PON and the community @NewarkMagpie.
  15. Great to see the lads rewarded for their dominant performance. The match wasn't a thriller but we looked comfortable on the ball, and Scott's winning goal reminded me why I can't wait for the new season to officially start.
  16. It’s good to see a positive change that reflects an incident which Notts experienced. Usually, these types of events don’t receive the punishment they deserve.
  17. As for Joss Labadie stepping down, he must feel confident about making the switch. Perhaps it’s so he can settle at the peak of his career? Good luck to him.
  18. Perfectly summarized thought of the day: people don’t need to change unless it’s something that makes sense, like dieting or a bad attitude. Otherwise, just stay true to yourself and be the person you are.
  19. Best Signing: David McGoldrick Highest Goal Scorer: Macaulay Langstaff Most Improved Player of the Season: Sam Slocombe Most Starts in the Season: John Bostock Best partnership between two players: Jim O'Brien and Dan Crowley

  23. After what I would say was a successful pre-season from the perspective of the young players, with two remaining friendlies, it shows that the club has faith in them to continue their careers. I am delighted with this news and wish each of them well. I hope they all make the most of their time being involved with our setup. Just because the likelihood of being a regular for Notts is slim, it does not mean they cannot move on when the time is right and drop down to work their way back up.
  24. Welcome to PoN, its nice to say hello to you @Kevin May.
