English football isn't fan-friendly any more. Of course there is the ridiculous costs of tickets, the fact that many new stadia are out of town and can only be accessed by car, and then there are the stupid little rules like not being able to drink alcohol in view of the pitch and stewards costantly telling you to sit down. For heaven's sake, football is supposed to be FUN.
Going back to the topic a bit, my local team had their last fixture before the winter break postponed just an hour before kick-off. Many fans had travelled on a special train put on for the match and were already in Kaiserslautern. When they arrived back in Mannheim they were greeted at the station by the entire first team and coaching staff, who even brought free beer for the fans. Now that's Christmas spirit!
