  1. The play-off final was such an incredible moment for all Notts County fans, myself included. To see our beloved club finally achieve promotion after four years in exile was an unforgettable experience. I’m glad @Fan of Big Tone got to experience it too, even if it was just on television.

BT Sports does show some League Two games, but they’re mostly the less glamorous fixtures.
  3. I hope Will Randall turns out to be a huge success for us and fits into the existing setup as if he has always been a part of it. It seems we weren’t the only club interested in him, which is a positive sign.
  4. Enzio started off well but deteriorated over time. When we consider the squad that sent us down, the lack of defending from him, along with Richard Duffy and Ross Fitzsimons, meant we had too many weaknesses.
  5. Welcome to the Pride of Nottingham, you will find the site and community to be very useful if you like discussing and talking about Notts, @Lydia.
  6. I wish Shaun Brisley all the best as he joins Alfreton. It seems like a solid signing for the team. Alfreton could benefit from having an experienced defender like Shaun on their side. Hopefully, with his help, they can start pushing for promotion back to the National League.
  7. I’m torn about Paddy’s situation. On one hand, I hope he’s innocent, but on the other hand, if he did what he’s accused of, I feel disgusted. Footballers need to have a life outside of football, but they also need to be careful. If he’s guilty, shame on him. If he’s innocent, I hope he can clear his name. I also hope the victim can move on with her life.

It’s interesting to see where Notts’ income comes from. Does anyone know if Notts might receive money from Sky for their TV coverage or are we just a BT Sports team now?
  9. I’m delighted that Sam Slocombe has agreed to new terms. I bet Luke Williams is happy too since it means he has the spine of the squad secured. A few more re-signings, like Kyle Cameron, Aaron Nemane and Jim O’Brien, and we can build further, especially if Ruben Rodrigues is on his way out.
  10. Hello, @McSwegansRightPeg. It may take you some time to get used to the site, the members and what discussions you may wish to contribute towards. Once you do, it becomes fun and quite addictive. I wish you well and, welcome you to the site.
  11. Hello, @LesBradd4England. As a casual poster myself, I don't think your time would be wasted in you were to post your thoughts as much or as often as you would like, You would be surprised by the level of good interactions. For now, welcome to PON.
  12. Langstaff has had an outstanding season, breaking records and proving himself as a vital player for us. He deserves every accolade and more.
  13. It's absolutely disheartening to witness the current predicament of the club, which has long been an integral part of our community. The unfortunate financial situation and the quest for a capable new owner have undoubtedly cast a cloud of uncertainty over the future of this beloved institution. In the run-up to the next season, I fervently hope that they are able to secure the necessary resources and identify a dedicated and passionate owner who can effectively steer them through this challenging period. The loyalty and resilience of the fans will certainly provide the bedrock of support that is essential to overcome such trials and guide the club towards past glories. Wishing them all the best!
  14. In my opinion, although the concept of reusable cups aims to address significant environmental concerns, it appears that implementing such an initiative at Notts would not be a viable option. The current operations are frequently fraught with delays and inefficiencies; thus, adding this extra element could further exacerbate wait times and impede customer service. It is crucial to acknowledge the need for environmental responsibility, yet striking a balance between sustainability and practicality is essential. Perhaps a more suitable alternative could be explored, one which complements the operational flow at Notts, whilst minimising our ecological impact.
  15. It's great to see Kristian Dennis doing well and I am pleased for Carlisle. However, I must say that I have my doubts about whether the Stockport will maintain a playoff spot next season. The competition in the league is fierce, and teams are always looking to improve and take advantage of any weaknesses in their rivals. With Kyle Wootton being such a talented player, there is a risk that other teams will start scouting his performances and taking note of him as a target for their own squad - no matter what resources his new club has at their disposal.
  16. He is undeniably a good player, and when he is on his game, he is exceptional. I'll admit that I was disappointed when he left Notts, but it always seemed like a long shot without the deserved promotion. However, I expect him to do very well with Wimbledon, especially since he already has a good grounding at the club. He is familiar with their style of play, and he has shown that when he is comfortable with a team, he can thrive. It is always difficult to see a great player move on, but we wish him every success with his new venture. I for one will be keeping a close eye on his performances in the coming season. Perhaps we will even get the chance to compete against him on the pitch once again!
  17. Oh, I must say, Ollie has been doing a fantastic job of late - arguably the finest the Post has seen in quite some time. His unwavering focus on Notts and the provision of insightful content sets him apart from many others in the field. It's particularly admirable how he doesn't shy away from ruffling a few feathers with his incisive ratings, speaking his mind candidly even if it may put some noses out of joint. He demonstrates a commitment to fair and honest evaluation which has been nothing short of refreshing for all of us invested in the club.
  18. Hello, @Zski. Welcome to PON.

Does anyone know what kind of fees the club is paying agents? I suppose when the Trews thought it meant savings, you still have to pay a good player and their agent. However, I am interested in what sort of fees we are paying them.
  20. Greg Tempest quickly faded from being a young player who looked good enough to being someone incapable of playing. He made so many errors and his confidence was shattered. He never rose to the challenge like Curtis Thompson did.
  21. I’m glad Dortmund didn’t win it, but I had hoped Union Berlin could do a Leicester City and become a true fairy tale story in football. I didn’t want Bayern to win either, but at that stage of the games it was either one of them.
  22. It's good to be welcoming you to the site, @BlackandWhitePie. I am glad you joined.
  23. Jimmy Knowles should get stronger at Boston. He needs to maintain his pace, but the move should be good for him. I always thought he could do a job. I know people on PON weren’t keen on him back then, but I thought he would improve in a good team.
  24. Good luck to Wigan. I hope they can sort out their finances. They have had a good rise in football and I hope they don’t end up like Bolton, Portsmouth, Coventry and others who went backwards.
  25. Aaron Collins always seemed like he would go on to achieve great things. I didn’t know he played for Bristol Rovers. He’s scored quite a few goals for them and Forest Green!
