  1. @DangerousSausage Gary Johnson the Cheltenham manager commented on it in the Football League Paper "you could see they were eager to get going...there was a big crowd in too. It just showed the importance of a partisan support". Third highest attendance in League 2 Saturday behind only Portsmouth (as you'd expect) and the Devon derby. It was a great atmosphere and the players rose to the occasion.
  2. well deserved man of the match yesterday
  3. yep @AmericanPie get Cheltenham on the back foot from the kick-off.
  4. I would like to see Tahvon Campbell and Grant start the match.
  5. great atmosphere at the match
  6. Feeding[edit] The magpie is omnivorous, eating young birds and eggs, small mammals,[39] Creepy Crawleys, scraps and carrion, acorns, grain, and other vegetable substances.
  7. Before the match Noble praised Hollis' great left foot and I nearly choked on my pint of 'New Era'; but then Hollis proceeded to do the business at left back, a cross field pass which picked out one of our strikers was excellent. Not picking on/ picking out Hollis, just an example that KN seems to have instilled something in the squad; and a bit of belief and a lot of effort seems to be working wonders. COYP.
  8. three nil to the Pies Like this
  9. Yep think last week's 11 have earned chance of another start.
  10. I agree Meadow Lane gots its groove back, good call @notts-joe if the players can continue withe the same commitment that they showed yesterday then I reckon Notts can escape re********n.
  11. I'd like to see Aborah playing, and Jordan Richards back in as well. If the defence can give 100% concentration and effort maybe Notts have a fighting chance...
  12. A new manager might...sorry must...get an improved performance against Mansfield, even if the result goes against us. Beyond that AH needs to make massive investment in signing new players.
  13. Performance wise hopefully the very bottom of the barrel scraped today.
  14. Straight red. A lifeline thrown. Heads up Notts and battle for survival.
  15. Morecambe 1-3 Notts County
  16. "I just asked them the question if they wanted to be here...and if they did let's do everything we can to win Saturday" "Everyone does try and everyone does care" #SuperNotts
  17. There is some sunlight just coming into view from behind those dark clouds
  18. Heading to the Lane soon, looking forward to a good match. COYP! #SuperNotts
  19. Great result, 'Total commitment from Notts' according to CS, which is good to hear! Good to see Notts were wearing the black and stripes, hope that continues if kits don't clash. COYP Any match ratings from those who went?
  20. I'd be surprised if he doesn't start against Portsmouth.
  21. Very disappointed with what I saw last night. We weren't beaten by a better team, but by a better team. At times there was some individual effort but it was let down by the rest. For example Forte did well on the wing but this left Stead isolated as too often the midfield was 30 yards behind the ball. I can only remember from the first half a decisive run forward by a 'wing back' and it caused Morecambe problems. So why did it only happen once? Lack of fitness, lack of ability to pass and move, or just lethargy 'I've not played well recently and against Mansfield but I've still got picked'. The team needs more pace but Collins is only being used as a sub and Snijders is not even on the bench! I hope Richards continues to be picked, he was badly let down by his senior team mates last night. Is Thompson injured or sidelined? We could do with his grit and determination in Midfield. I think he would be a good foil to Aborah, who would have more impact if others showed more desire for the ball. It just seems like certain players are hiding on the pitch, and getting away with the minimum of effort.
  22. from the stand Mansfield's first goal seemed to pull the rug from under the players. Heads dropped when I expected certain players to respond.
