  1. It's a definite no from me. He's slow, weak, has poor movement and is unable to control a ball. What does he actually offer?
  2. @[member="cotton13"] he's new to L2 and half his players are as well, are you expecting instant results or something? If you have to blame anyone for a poor start I think I'd blame Kevan, for not advising Moniz enough about L2, and Yates for clearly being unable to coach the defence. You can't expect it to work straight away and honestly most games we've been very unlucky not to score many. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  3. @[member="Notts26"] not a surprise if it happens and would be better for both clubs imo, sensible switch if it happend Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  4. I'd rather have a 4-2-3-1 formation - effective at any level against every playstyle and is flexible with tactics. Aborah and Thompson sitting in front of the back 4 would be great with Snijders, Valencic and Burke just in front of them and then Murray up top Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  5. @[member="Notts26"] Salford was a blip so I wouldn't formulate any thoughts from that game, generally McLeod gets good service bar a couple of games. He's inconsistent unfortunately but Murray's return will get him on his toes every game as they are similar players who will be battling it out for a starting place. As for my thoughts on Jimmy, look on the thread I made. Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  6. @[member="Notts26"] thing with Campbell is that if he had good end product he wouldn't be playing in L2. I personally would start Valenic on the right and Genaro on the left for them both to cut in and shoot with Burke in the number 10 role, I think his choice of wingers isn't the best but all our wingers are good players and unfortunately Jenner hasn't shown his talent too often. Unlike most I can see something in Jenner but he needs to show what he's capable of in his sub appearances otherwise there's no choice but to show him the door Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  7. @[member="Notts26"] Izale got put out wide for half a game then got moved up top for the second half, but as for Stead I don't think he should be in the team at all let alone on the wing, but either Campbell or Burke usually take that spot anyway. Izale has lived off lofted through balls for the past 5 seasons now so why is he not performing consistently when we give him that service? I think really that despite the childish attitude that Moniz can sometimes have we have played nice football and been unlucky with results. If he gets sacked we'll likely appoint some masochist who puts together a hard-working but talentless team like usual. We've attracted many good players through Moniz's coaching reputation and I think that if we are to look in the future we would need Moniz to be here to nurture our wide variety of promising young talent so I say keep and hope we can get more luck Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  8. @[member="Notts26"] huge contradiction in saying about being lucky when you previously stated that we average the most shots per game? If anything it's unlucky really and Moniz can't help his strikers being unable to finish. We can't blame him for most of our losses but Salford and Oxford were atrocious and both his fault imo, give him until the end of the season and then see where his future lies Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  9. @[member="Notts26"] I don't know what's gone wrong with Jenner, he clearly is one of our more technically able players but he seems to do nothing on the pitch Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  10. @[member="Notts26"] not had much chance but some games have been much better than others Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  11. @[member="CliftonMagpie"] fully agree with everything you say but I think you need a starting line up of slightly better quality otherwise it will be hard to find a core 7 or 8 players. This core is really important for consistency and team chemistry so although it's great we have such depth it does also have its negatives Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  12. We're spolit for choice with number 10s and STs too. I'd like Da Silva to play a bit more because he's a good player but we're also spolit for choice in the number 10 position. I only rate 2 of our strikers personally from how they've been with us so I think Da Silva or Valencic could fill the spot and do a job there Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  13. @[member="Notts26"] agree, there's a reason why they both came through the ranks of premier league clubs. If De Silva can get more time he could be very good. Problem is we have loads of wingers and simply we can't start them all Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  14. @[member="Notts26"] Sarpong, Richards, Rutty-Smith and Aghatsie all look good for the future too so I'd keep my eye on them. Richards and Sarpong also impressed in pre-season against conference opposition so I think they have a bright future Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
  15. @[member="notts-joe"] I wouldn't say I dislike him in any way. I'm aware of what he can do from his occasional heroics in the great escape season but that was under Derry who played different football to Moniz. He's had enough chances to make his mark and he hasn't on any occasion; he's appeared to have dropped his head when things haven't gone his way. His record in the reserve team is good but for a striker of his reputation you'd expect it anyway. There's other clubs out there that suit him much more so I think we should loan or let him go to one of those clubs and allow Murray, Valencic and the youth players to step up. It would benefit everyone imo Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
