  1. I really enjoyed the game, we smashed Scunthorpe United but the way they played kinda ruined the victory for me. They were proper rubbish, like it almost spoiled the game. If it wasn't for some sick moves from Ruben, Langstaff, Austin, O'Brien, and Palmer, I reckon it would've been dead boring. I know it might sound controversial, but I don't like games where it's totally one-sided, and that's exactly what this was. I'm stoked that we won though, especially with Langstaff getting a couple of goals. The team was sick, but it's just a shame that Scunthorpe didn't put up more of a fight.
  2. This is the perfect stage for Notts County, Luke Williams is right.
  3. Notts County have a great chance to pick up three points against Scunthorpe United at Meadow Lane. The Iron have struggled on the road this season, and County will be looking to take advantage of that.
  4. I think Ruben played one of his best games yesterday, the whole team did but did anyone think Chicksen stayed back a bit more than he normally would? He barely got involved in the attacks.
  5. Lincoln looked like a Sunday league keeper, scrambling to the ball every time a pass got placed through and one of our players had to run onto it. I think he fouled Nemane, which he did not even get spoken to. The result was good, but the performance a lot better. You could see little bits that the players had been working on in training and I think it paid off.
  6. What a player he is! I like Bajrami as a person and player.
  7. In their last game, Chesterfield beat them 4-1. They look to be the type of team that attempts to hang onto games, instead of going for the win. On paper Notts should be comfortable but this could be one of those games where we are too complacent. The win being expected but they do their best to see the game out as a draw, with Colin Slater's death it will be cumbersome. I hope Notts smashes them, as I think we are as good as Chesterfield. There is no guarantee, I just hope we bring the game to Barnet.
  8. I hope all this transfer speculation doesn't bother the performances of those attracting interest, its difficult enough at this level not to allow potential moves to turn heads. Dagenham & Redbridge have been consistently poor when I have seen them play, nothing special at all. If we fail to get a good result then I would be disappointed. Starting a winning streak and building momentum could make the Christmas period much easier on us. The players have to work on this, but I think Notts should win.
  9. In the form table we are side by side, with Notts at 10th and them at 11th. I don't think we've beat Eastleigh yet, so it will be a challenge. Things like this must change and if we can beat them, momentum will be adding up nicely. That said I think the game will be a goalless draw.
  10. Chicksen did play poorly, end of. Even his fans can't defend his shoddy performance against Rochdale. He can be good, but not when Taylor is in the side. Chicksen overlaps well but defensively he's not that good,
  11. Make a few smart changes, leave Patterson in goal and just stick to the same game plan of passing into space. I would like to see Nemane and Roberts both play, Burchnall said he put Roberts on the left because of his natural foot, he did well with Taylor and we have focused a lot on the right hand side a little too much for me. It would be nice to have Nemane on the right, Roberts on the left and Rodrigues in the middle. Wootton up top to get those all important goals.
  12. Good to see the confidence lifting, I didn't think much of that Dallas or Rooney - they should be a formidable team at this level but we kept them quiet. I don't think Solihull really troubled Patterson, he looked calm and collected. The atmosphere could've been better before we led the game but it was still amazing, great team performance.
  13. It might show where Notts needs to improve, or it could show that there is the quality within the team to compete against a very average League Two team.
  14. I just want to see a steady performance and hopefully a good cup run will follow, don't care who Notts gets if Rochdale are knocked out. A TV tie might be nice though.
  15. Got to focus on the game, instead of the headlines. Let Stockport think they have all the power, but control the game with our attacking play. I have faith we can keep them quiet, just need to leave enough to make chances.
  16. I think it will end in defeat, the club did not take the first game as seriously as we should. I say this not because Notts didn't win but because we didn't really trouble them. Tamworth will be more confident having forced a reply and I think they'll punish us for it.
  17. I would rather Ian Burchnall start off with a strong squad, then rest players like Kyle Wootton, Ruben Rodrigues, Matty Palmer. They can come off once the job is done.
  18. All positive news, I hope we don't involve any players at risk in the Tamworth cup match.
  19. All the players need to do better at winning the ball, Notts don't press enough and we leave ourselves open to attack by not committing bodies back.
  20. Another defeat, I can't see anything else right now not until we have a solid defence and that wont happen with crucial players out.
  21. I don't understand why Notts are allowing teams to get the better of them, its just frustrating and poor. In stead of building the hype for promotion, they need to build on it quietly by working hard.
  22. 2-0 Notts is my prediction. I think the first 45 minutes will be uneventful, with a few chances on goal for both teams but nothing clear. Second half, changes will make things start to happen. I think Aaron Nemane will end up on the score sheet. Now is his chance to come in, stay fit and establish himself into the squad.
  23. Its the cutting edge to finish chances that Notts are lacking, if we took some of the few ones that could've ended up in the back of the net, I do think the game could've ended differently. A goal often chances things more than not, I can also see a lot of frustration in the players faces at times and I think that is something that needs to be worked past. DKE has a good chance, but Notts never pressed enough to cause them any headaches. Poor in possession, poor with our touch, slow to get going and just uncomfortable going forward. I have to say, I think Patterson had a superb debut and look like he had been playing regularly. That is one positive to take, as he seems to be reliable and a good option to have, think this competition will help when Sam Slocombe returns if Notts chooses to keep Patterson.
  24. Its one of those away games we really could do with winning but as people say, we need to respect a point and even keep our undefeated run going for as long as possible. I don't think much the regular lineup needs changing at all. I would like to see Nemane come on at some stage, I think he could cause a lot of problems.
  25. Its hardly a bad draw. Torquay started very brightly and they made it difficult for Notts to get hold of the game. The first half had some good chances, I don't think it was awful but it was somewhere between acceptable and that. Torquay looked like they knew it was a matter of time before Notts pulled level, the time wasting was pathetic. I thought Notts handled the second half way, coming out fast and the subs made a big impact. I think Nemane coming on injects a lot of skill, his linking with Roberts was enjoyable. I did feel DKE needed to be allowed to run a little more, but its frustrating to see players hit stupidly high balls towards him. Defensively I thought Notts did just fine. Attacking we need to be more decisive in the first half, slow the game down and avoid passing sideways all the time. I liked some of the runs players did, but a lot of the time it went unnoticed. In the second half, this was the biggest change because we started moving with the ball better and passing it to players in space. With others making runs and finding their own pockets of space, we did not have much of this in the first half.
