  1. Josh Martin seems like a fantastic signing for us, especially given his experience at such a young age. The fact that he can play in different positions makes him even more valuable for the squad, especially considering our recent injuries. Hopefully, he settles in quickly and helps us push on through the season.
  2. Yes, Bedeau played brilliantly and deserves to be named Man of the Match. He gets my vote as well.
  3. Well, he ended the match and no news until now. It does seem a little mysterious since he left the field appearing fine. I did notice his absence from the starting 11 and bench against Bromley, but I thought nothing of it. I hope he’s back soon. It would be nice to know what exactly is his problem.
  4. It means little, but so much to us fans. I am sure the club won’t be paying attention to these stats, even if Stuart Maynard discusses it as he has in his recent presser. Take it game by game.
  5. Well, he’s abandoned MK Dons rather quickly despite it being a dream job. Their board was probably regretting the appointment. Unfortunately, this might mean they start to become tougher as a team, as Mike Williamson was doing a terrible job. Carlisle fans might have more issues than Greg Abbott.
  6. When Jodi Jones puts his mind to something, he really goes for it. His determination, along with the contract renewal, has him performing solidly. Should we give Stuart Maynard some praise for understanding how to get the best out of Jodi and encouraging him to score more? Jodi will always have assists in him, that’s just his quality, but it’s great to see him scoring.
  7. The contract extension for Jodi Jones is excellent news for Notts. His journey from battling injuries to becoming a pivotal player speaks volumes about his resilience and determination. Stuart Maynard's awareness of the physical threats posed by Bromley and his strategic preparation is commendable. The return of Alassana Jatta adds more depth to the squad, giving us a stronger edge in the match. It's heartening to see the squad’s unity and Maynard’s focus on long-term success. The fans’ support, especially during away fixtures, has been phenomenal and will be critical again. This season promises to be an exciting one, and I’m hopeful for another great result.
  8. Stuart Maynard really has the team firing on all cylinders. His ability to adapt to challenges, like the absence of key players, has been impressive. It's refreshing to see how he manages to get the best out of the squad, and the tactical planning against Accrington Stanley was a masterclass. Really looking forward to what this season holds for us.
  9. You would be lucky to eat at a football stadium for less than £5. There is also the risk of food poisoning. It makes you wonder why the standard of food is so bad. I want Notts to bring back Pukka pies.
  10. Rest in peace, Sven-Goran Eriksson.
  11. Sven-Goran Eriksson's presence at Notts County made a big difference. His leadership was important during difficult times. Remembering Sven's time at Notts County brings back memories of excitement and ambition. He was truly a legend.
  12. I don’t know, but I think when we have our own players of this age, it makes little sense to sign or bring in someone else’s young player.
  13. He does look very much like Jack Grealish, but Forest will never be able to have our Jack. They can only sign imitations like this.
  14. Only one person is allowed to be in the technical area under new rules. One stands near the dugout gates to the Pavis. The other is only involved in the training side, so he might be elsewhere.
  15. I hope they keep the Meadow Lane Sports Bar for us and not for the away fans because of the new fan zone. It seems like a good way to bring more money into the club.
  16. Excited to see how the lads adapt to the new management structure. I want to see hustle, heart and that never-say-die attitude we're known for. A win would be stellar, but above all, let's keep our heads held high no matter the result. Expecting a sturdy defence against a cunning Barrow, possibly leading to a confident 2-1 to us. Let’s get behind the team!
  17. It’s great to hear such a wave of positivity sweeping through the club. It seems like Maynard is quickly finding his place and becoming a genuine Magpie at heart!
  18. It's heartening to see due credit given to interim guiding lights like O'Brien, Weal, and Alves – their service in a transitional phase is the stuff of true loyalty to the club. Alves' promotion speaks volumes of the club’s intention to build from within. With Maynard at the forefront, we're not just gearing up for a strategy shake-up, but a holistic evolution in club culture.
  19. Looking back on Notts’ win over Colchester United, it was a period when supporting the club was a real joy. We’ve made significant strides since then. Nowadays, we’re the team that others consider an easy match. It’s a clear indication of our progress and the strength we’ve developed.
  20. Ha! They do indeed look alike. It’s more Pep and Luke than Enzo, but they do bear a striking resemblance.
  21. From Walsall’s perspective, their second goal was very well executed. From our side, our defence was not up to the mark, which is not what you’d expect from a team aiming for promotion.
  22. Like the attitude of relentless learning. That’s the spirit! Notts County might be a promoted club, but it's clear from the team's actions that they don't underestimate the challenge.
  23. I must commend Williams for his realistic yet positive outlook towards the season. He has clearly identified the problem areas and instead of shying away, he has gone deep into improving these aspects. His approach of performance over results instills confidence. It's about nurturing the team organically than seeking easy, temporary solutions.
  24. It’s a victory, and that’s the main thing. The first half wasn’t great, but games like this have their moments. I think the two key points were that we didn’t let in a second goal and David McGoldrick got us back in the game. The second half was outstanding and very satisfying. Much improved!
  25. Well done, it’s great to see community members being acknowledged for their contributions. It’s a lovely gesture, so congratulations @Piethagoram and @super_ram.
