  1. 200 words @notts-joe?!? I can sum it up in 7 "We scored more than them and won!" Will that do? Anyway whilst you are watching the game I will invite my new mate Mark over and discuss exactly why we never went up as champions.
  2. I'm not there, so we are guaranteed a win this weekend! I think he will go back to playing 2 up front for home games, so I fully expect McLeod to play and I think he will also score. With this in mind I will go for a 3-1 win to Notts, but will also take a 1-0! Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
  3. I'm just pleased we got a point and I'm ticking them off until it is mathematically impossible to go down. I don't expect anything from Saturday's game, but then we have a couple of hopefully winnable games after that to see us safe and hopefully he can experiment after that.
  4. It's laughable that yet again we look like we may need steady Eddie back, but needs must and I trust him more than any other centre half, even though he can't run anymore. So, with that I will go for: Wildin, Edwards, Amevor, Milsom Snijders, Noble, Aborah, Thompson, Burke Stead I would like to see Gibson at some stage tomorrow, but would also like to see the back of McLeod. 5. To be honest @Modern Fan 1862 ????, I was thinking exactly the same thing about Gibson, as he can't be any worse. McLeod has turned into a massive white elephant and might as well be ditched, to think we got rid of Jimmy in order to play him instead is criminal. i also wouldn't associate most of these signings with Moniz, the majority of this mess can be firmly put at Guy Branston's recruitment door and the sooner he gets the boot the better. MC has his work cut out and needs some inspiration from somewhere just to give them a little bit of confidence in order to compete.
  6. What was the point of the Campbell substitution? Banton was woeful today and had to come off, but as always it was a like for like substitution, no system change and then to do nothing after going behind was criminal. He might as well have gambled by replacing a defender with a striker, we had nothing to lose.
  7. I have this down as a draw in my points prediction for the season. Whatever the score is, I'm not too bothered, but please get at least a point! Let's see who he picks this week, but I doubt there will be any flair selected.
  8. He did, we had the U16s sat next to us and they said he played all the game, but kept going off the pitch saying he was injured. The club looks to have decided to humiliate him and make him play with the kids.
  9. Appalling display, Rovers were pretty ordinary and we made them look good! First half was average, but second half was just shocking. So little ability it's laughable, to see what has become of this club is truly heartbreaking and the team have now turned into the worst in the division! @tarquinbeechsays there were 3 shots on target? There wasn't, the nearest was McLeod's header, but that looked to be missing to me and the other two were looped up deflections. We will not win another home game using these tactics, we just make it too easy for the away team to hit us on the break and once behind there is no creativity, allowing the away team to just control the game. Sacked in the morning sang the Rovers fans at one stage, we can but hope....
  10. Still no shot on target! Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
  11. Apathy is the best word to describe the fans. Not heard a peep out of the Kop! Previous games against Roverz have always had a spicey atmosphere, but not today. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
  12. I think people are watching a different game to me. Yes we've attacked a bit, but we still haven't had a shot on target! McLeod nearly scored from a Stead cross, but missed the ball and Atkinson got nowhere near another cross along the box. Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
  13. If you still hate Bristol Rovers, still hate Bristol Rovers, still hate Bristol Rovers clap your hands! Sent from my XT1032 using Tapatalk
  14. Comfortable win for Brizzle I reckon, 0-3 making it 360 minutes without a goal at home. Post match meltdown to continue with the ticket office resigning on the grounds that they had been arrested for obtaining money through false pretenses.
  15. @Modern Fan 1862 ???? You dont blame a player for taking wages , money that you pay to the club , and yet saying he doesnt play for Notts but only Moniz?? Listen I know you are no fan of the new manager but surely you have to see that he has protected Aborah here and tried to get him back on board...at a time when he was getting huge criticism for not playing him? Surely his harshest critic has to give him some credit for having some integrity? Notts County FC is most important ..not players who don't want to play ...but still want paid ...I cant believe you would disagree with that You are making assumptions upon hearing only one side of the story. You do not know what disagreements the pair might have had in private and nor do I. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  16. Is he allowed to make one ? Why not, he has nothing to lose now, as either way his Notts career is finished. If he agrees then so be it, if he denies it, we will know for certain. He did have a pop at the Posts Leigh Curtis yesterday about not getting both sides of a story, so there probably is something being kept secret. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. It may also be a ploy by the club to try and deflect the criticism from tonight's appalling display and make fans talk about something else. At the end of the day we won't know until Stanley makes a statement.
  18. This was a case of did Stanley say that he didn't want to play for Notts, or Fullarton? Also, no one knows what may have been said by both sides in meetings, so it is a case of waiting to see if Aborah is allowed to say anything. If it is true, then is he not effectively on strike?
  19. If we can't get rid I would put Dryden in charge above his head for now, as he can't do any worse.
  20. No doubt that this is a new low. He has now had 270 minutes of home football and still no goals, out shot and out performed by the worst team in the division. Nobody can defend this man any longer, he simply has to do the decent thing and resign, because we know for a fact that he will not be sacked whilst the club is up for sale. He has now taken one of the most talented attacking squads in the division and reduced them to a shambles, unable to pass and unable to get into a position to shoot, utterly shameful.
  21. As long as he picks a similar side to Saturday we should be alright. We need to be more mobile and that in itself should bring us the wins we need. I don't actually think we need 4 wins, 2 wins and a draw should be plenty, as that will be 46 points and I can't see York getting 20 points from 13 games.
  22. Twitter is awash with negativity tonight and I have never seen this before to a manager, I have hardly found anybody sticking up for him. The club is in a very sorry state at the moment and I really don't know how the board of directors are going to fix this. It looks as though they are going to have to either publicly back him, or sack him. The latter will lift the fans, the former will probably knock a thousand off the gate for the rest of the season.
  23. Teams now know that if they move the ball around against us we have no answer and this is heightened when we include Smith in the side. When you're 2-0 down at half time, he should have took Smith and McLeod off, brought Campbell and Murray on and moved Noble to the centre. I fear that we will get hammered on Saturday, because Plymouth are quite solid at the back.
  24. The fact he wouldn't give a straight answer in effect answers the question. The bloke doesn't want footballers in the side.
  25. No, because we were still outclassed for most of the game. It actually took bringing on a couple of mobile players for us to make a bit of a comeback, but to leave Smith on again for the full 90 minutes is just a joke, the bloke can't run! That's one win from the last 4 games now, and will probably be 1 win from 5 on Saturday.
