    I don’t have a problem with this because I assume it will offer different varieties in certain parts of the ground, and nobody has to drink Carling.

    I’m pleased that the club has appointed a new CEO. Hopefully, things around the club, such as the ticket office, will start to improve again. I’ve heard many complaints about misinformation being given out and poor service.

    Good luck to Sochaux. I’m not sure how severe their financial troubles are or the likelihood of them emerging stronger, but as a community-based sport, I wish them well.

    Pleased to see that Williams is maintaining professionalism and prioritising player welfare. His approach towards the whole injury situation instils confidence in the coaching and medical staff.

    It’s not a signing I would have expected, but he’s originally from the area, so that might play a part in his move. He may want to be closer to his family as he edges closer to retirement. Yes, he has quite a few years left, but this is the point when some older players start to settle.

    I hope Southend manages to overcome this and come back stronger. It’s not nice to see a team struggling to exist. Their fans have been massively let down by the owners.

    It’s always a big moment when young players sign their first major contract with a club like Notts. It marks the beginning of an exciting journey, full of potential and promise. I wish these young players all the best as they embark on this new chapter in their careers. May they continue to work hard, develop their skills, and achieve great success with Notts County.

    Charlie Slater will be a difficult face to replace. His voice and commentary did take time to get familiar with, but his work with Mark Stallard propelled him into our fan base. He will be missed and I thank him for his efforts in covering Notts and reporting on the club.

    I would like to know the reasons that Salford City gave for this to happen, as it seems when Notts wants to postpone games for legitimate reasons, it never gets granted. Yet the moment teams like Chesterfield, Salford, Portsmouth etc. want to back out of games, it’s granted.

    What is likely to happen to Barnsley? Does anyone know? Will it just be the EFL imposing financial implications and a standard fine?

    Routine friendly for both teams, neither side played badly and both gave their all. I think a draw would have been fairer, but when you give the ball away so cheaply, those are the situations where big teams will punish you. Luke Williams will have to focus a bit more on the team’s defending and passing from the back. Why we continue to make similar mistakes without noticeable improvement in this area of our play is concerning. Otherwise, I felt impressed.
