Well done for going to the Swindon game @super_pie, its not an easy one for a supporter of your age.

Very good picture @Chris, you've captured the day well. A bad result but fans can be proud for their fantastic support.
  3. Just win for the pride, keep the hope alive for the last game of the season. It's history on the line and survival.
  4. I know people will say they're professionals, yet I believe the issue with the lack of shooting is morale and confidence. The pressure is building, I don't think Notts played bad at all but its not good enough at the same time. I would cut them some slack with the fact that most players gave their all. It might not have been solid individually but it was good enough as a team performance. People suggesting none of them cared are just overreacting.
  5. The way the players came out made me think that they feared losing, I think the optimism has gone and not enough are working hard enough. It's scary to think how average players like Doyle and O'Brien have become but it's what happens when the players around them are idle.
  6. Well done @liampie, @Barry Holland, @ScottyP and @BromPie. Great job by everyone else who supported the fundraising raffle too.
  7. I have a good feeling Notts will win 2-1, take the 3 points and run.
  8. A draw would have been a sign of fight but I don't think losing 1-0 is something fans should get carried a way with. Tranmere are a good team at home and we aren't that great away. More progress is needed but fans need to keep supporting.
  9. I thought he was still at Barrow? Good luck to him. I wonder if he does beginner classes in fitness. ????
  10. The key to playing Tranmere is to choose between quick and slow passing, if we mix the tempo I feel the game will be controlled better but the midfield needs to work hard. The strikers need to be able to absorb the pressure without these two defining factors Notts will struggle. 2-2 is my prediction, CMS and Doyle to score.
  11. I had a dream a few days ago that Notts went on a 3-4 game winning streak, it was enough to push the club on the verge of survival and I'm hoping it comes true. A win against Forest Green Rovers would be very big right now, they're the type of team we should be winning too. I will say 3-1 Notts.
  12. Notts looked the better side but quickly they dropped once the goal went in. Instead of it being football it seemed like a job, where the players couldn't be bothered. I think they fear losing and that makes them one dimensional. It wasn't a very good game in truth but that sums Notts up this season.
  13. I'm with @liampie, it's frustrating but it is what it is. We can't change the scoreline and the defenders are only human, they need to be more aware and the midfield needs to do their bit.
  14. If Notts can be productive with their passing it would make the game easier, I think Notts have been worse away from home and that leaves me thinking that the performance won't be up to much. I won't be at the game, I will be listening and following the updates online. I just hope something positive can come from the game.
  15. The game was awful but the worst? No where near to that level. The team just played like one which had no direction, Chettle came across clueless and if he takes charge of any more games god help Notts. First half was okay, nothing special and disconnected. After that it was boring and rubbish.
  16. Notts will win somehow and then they will lose again on Saturday, the same will repeat until Alan Hardy appoints another well known ex Premier League player. Alan Smith must be annoyed.
  17. They will score a couple of goals, they have a strong team and we have a weak defence. I just hope Ross Fitzsimons can keep his head because if he can repeat his saves from the Oldham game he could keep Notts in it.
  18. The away performances have to improve somewhere and I think Notts have been steadily increasing under Harry Kewell, I think Notts could come back having won 2-1. It's going to be a battle for sure, however it's one I have the utmost confidence in the team to achieve.
  19. Sorry but this is embarrassing that we lost to a team that seem to have taken it more seriously and the club want people to buy into this shambles? I won't.
  20. Spot on @Chris, the win is the main thing.
  21. Notts County now sit 17th in the League two table, six places above relegation, maintaining their unbeaten record after their third win this season, which ended 1-0 against Macclesfield Town on Saturday 6th October. Macclesfield had three shots on goal, along with the Magpies also having three shots but they were all blocked. The match remained goalless at half time. In the second half County's Jon Stead, Enzio Boldewijn, Nathan Thomas had a shot on goal and Macclesfield's Scott Wilson had one too. Enzio Boldewijn got fouled in the box in the 80th minute, resulting in a penalty being awarded to Notts, and Stead duly converted in the 82nd minute. Macclesfield's Callum Maycock attempted another shot in the top right corner but it was saved. The final score was 1-0 to the Magpies. Here's a round-up of the post-match reaction from us at Pride of Nottingham. Harry Kewell "Nine points was the target so I’m very happy we have met it, It was an important week because I felt they were three games that we could win but we knew they’d be tough. "The players have worked hard since we came in and over the last seven days we have started to see the benefits. It wasn’t a pretty game and I’ll be the first to admit that, we knew coming here would be tough and we had to dig in, defend well and wait for that bit of magic. "You have to win ugly in any league by doing the hard things first and that is where the goal came from. Things don’t go well every match but you can run, put pressure on an opponent and work hard for the team. Today’s result is probably the best we have had." Elliott Ward "It was a battle and any game at the end of a three-game week is probably the toughest, when you are playing somebody who is bottom of the league then it’s always going to be hard. "It was about mental toughness, concentration and playing until the last minute. We scored a late goal. You don’t have to play well, but you have to win. "Defensively we are a lot stronger, It’s not just about the back four and the goalkeeper, but about everybody. We are a lot harder to play against and to break down." Notts fans on Twitter @wavey2000 @sjp_magpie @NCFCshaun15 The Black & White Army on PON Chris: "Not a good game but a great result, we'll take it and build further. Neither side looked 'good' but I do feel Macclesfield looked more lively, as I mentioned in my scouting report - they panic and if they took a little bit longer to decent how best to finish chances. Well, I think they could have caused us more trouble. Notts was very flat though, there was no signs of a game plan and I say this not to be negative but to give my honest opinion of the game. The usual players that 'lift' us, well they wasn't in the zone and I can't blame them for all the minutes they've put in. I would have taken Jon Stead off today, he wasn't coping and he looked unable to cause trouble. Instead of bringing on Nathan Thomas, I would have taken Stead off and introduced Kristian Dennis. Also, Shaun Brisley should have gone off sooner - he gets a lot of stick these days but he did struggle to be effective. Harry Kewell didn't seem to understand how to plan Macclesfield or how to change the tactics to get us going, however it's three massive points on the road and a fantastic win." menzinho: "I was only able to listen today but I was incredibly surprised to hear Brisley in centre mid. I get that he's big and he'll win headers but his passing and general skill level is pretty low, on his good day he's your basic, kick it, head it, win type of defender. I can only guess he was a kind of stopper and I can't imagine he really helped build any attacks. It's also not exactly a vote of confidence for the likes of Vaughan and Husin. My only tiny gripe with Kewell would be substitutions, when we went a man down against Crawley I was surprised he didn't get fresher legs on quicker, we waited for about 20 minutes, they should have been on much sooner in my opinion. Likewise today, we didn't really have many opportunities until the pen, but he chose to keep it as it was. Why bring Dennis on with about 5 mins left, what is he supposed to achieve? He's proved can be very effective in this league, give him a bit more time. That all said, not really complaining 9 points from the last 3 games is fantastic, unbeaten in 5 as well. On the whole it's a big improvement and it finally feels like our season has started!" Magic magpie: "Not the greatest of win but we got the points and moved up the table that is what counts.... but when u have ref that blows up for every little thing against the lads will be nervous to do anything. CliftonMagpie: "Just happy with the three points, Enzio chasing the ball for the penalty was class. All the players will make mistakes at times but when a player doesn't give up, you have to give him credit. Brilliant penalty by Stead too." 22. Yeah I do, I think the new ladies team is a good idea but those that wanted the last ones gone just make me cringe when they get behind the new one like nothings happened.
  23. Good away win that, I agree with the comments about having to win ugly but a draw wouldn't have been a bad thing. Sometimes the weaker teams are the hardest to break down at home, people forget that it's the away form that usually suffers but I felt it was a building block. Just pleased with the win.
  24. I do wonder why all of a sudden some Notts fans seem to care?
  25. I think Notts can really kick start the season with a good display, I do feel the confidence has lifted and that makes a difference watching them play. Some fans need to be mindful that it's still early days for Harry Kewell but the positives are the wins. Points are finally being collected and I can see Notts winning Macclesfield. The away performances this season have to improve and I think any win will be narrow.
