So, Liverpool have unveiled Jürgen Klopp. Looks like a perfect fit to me.

That could be a masterstroke by Liverpool.

Be interesting to see how he does.

It'll either be a great success or a megadisaster. Worth the lisk from their point of view, but unless he gets a lot of money I can see them being better than they are now but competing to win the league.

I first came across him watching this incredible game, one of my all-time favourites on Gladbach's way to winning the cup in 1995. There were not many Mainz 05 fans there, given they were in the 2nd division and it was played midweek. However, they made a great deal of noise all game and as a result a friendship was set up between the two supporters clubs. I still have the scarf commemorating it.  He was stil playing up-front in those days. Borussia Mönchengladbach 6-4 (4-2) 1. FSV Mainz 05
DFB-Pokal 1994/1995, Achtelfinale, 25.10.1994, 15.800 Zuschauer, Schiedsrichter: Jürgen Aust (Köln)

Scoring: 0:1 Thomas Zampach 5. - 1:1 Peter Wynhoff 13. - 2:1 Heiko Herrlich 15. - 3:1 Heiko Herrlich 39. - 3:2 Jürgen Klopp 41. - 4:2 Peter Nielsen 42. - 5:2 Peter Wynhoff 52. - 5:3 Christian Hock 61. - 5:4 Michael Müller 63. - 6:4 Stefan Effenberg 90.

Borussia: Uwe Kamps, Thomas Kastenmaier, Patrik Andersson, Joachim Stadler, Jörg Neun, Christian Hochstätter, Stefan Effenberg, Peter Nielsen, Peter Wynhoff, Martin Dahlin, Heiko Herrlich

Mainz: Tom Eilers, Michael Müller, Holger Greilich, Peter Neustädter, Thomas Zampach, Abderrahim Ouakili, Bruno Akrapovic, Thomas Ziemer, Hendrik Weiß, Jürgen Klopp, Ansgar Brinkmann

Substitutions Gladbach: Holger Fach für Joachim Stadler (46.), Martin Schneider für Peter Nielsen (66.);

Mainz: Christian Hock für Thomas Ziemer (59.), Arno Glesius, für Ansgar Brinkmann (84.)

Trainer Gladbach: Bernd Krauss: Mainz: Hermann Hummels
