I have been reading up on Dan Crowley and he sounds like a magnificent signing for Notts. He seems to have found his element at Morecambe and should progress nicely with Notts.

I’m delighted that Jodi Jones has signed for Notts County permanently. He’s an outstanding player who can do it all on the wing: dribble, cross, shoot and score. He was brilliant during his loan spell and I’m sure he’ll continue to impress us. He’s a great fit for our club and our culture.

It would be great if we could follow in the footsteps of Luton and build a strong team. They had a few spells where it didn’t seem likely, but they persevered. Whatever Notts does, it will be special and unique to us. I hope we can retain some of this squad for that special journey. I especially hope that Jim O’Brien sticks around. Notts needs to get him on their books in terms of coaching.

Tommy Johnson started his professional career at Notts and was highly successful in his early years, though less so as time went on. I also thought of him when reading the description.

Notts has an established squad now for the first time in years, having new signings settle in quickly it will only benefit the club on the pitch.

The form right now doesn't look that bad, Notts needs to avoid losing and I think Neal Ardley will be somewhat defensive with this in the back of his mind. I think it will be a draw, 2-2. Kristian Dennis and Wes Thomas to score.

It always takes Notts a few games to get going, I am not bothered about the 1-0 loss. More disappointed by the club captain Michael Doyle getting sent off, it was a stupid incident.
