  1. Yes. It was awful. There was times when Notts couldn't pass two or three times without giving the ball away. The most annoying part for me is seeing Solihull panic and start to become unsettled, only for Neal Ardley to take of Enzio and then the squad became very defensive minded. It was like the reverse of what you would expect @DangerousSausage! I mean, I would understand if it was the other way round but it wasn't. We walked away without ever really testing them and settling for just a point.
  2. You have to hope that the team can bounce back and put on a good performance, bad ones will come but overall we have looked much sharper at creating chances [just not finishing them].
  3. I would take a 1-1 draw, or a goalless one provided we had good chances. I think winning two games in a row might tempt some of the less rational fans to start expecting promotion and then revert to whining when we lose next.
  4. I can't stand this attitude of Notts beat a bunch of amateurs, a win is a win and it builds confidence. Scoring more than 3 goals is great for morale, lets hope it helps to build character too.
  5. I felt entertained and the top of the Kop was electric. First half Notts looked to struggle to create scoring chances, a few good efforts but nothing like the second half. I thought the final 45 minutes Notts looked like a squad that could give a side a thrashing, Wrexham played well but not as good on the ball. I agree the finishing could have been better, yet I am optimistic about the direction. The football was class.
  6. If Notts can get the ball down and use it well, they tend to do well against Barnet. I just hope Kevin Nolan's return doesn't dampen the mood, some will have forgotten that he is partly to blame for bring the club down.
  7. It sounded like Notts struggled with height and a team used to the standard of play, I think if Neal Ardley wants to focus on pretty passing football, he needs to make sure two strikers are in central positions. It seems a waste to see the wide areas occupied by players who are better on goal.
  8. Come on Notts, lets start the season by thrashing them and putting on a good display for at least 60 minutes. I won't judge the pre-season, but I am excited about the starting game. It will be difficult.
  9. Think in summary it's safe to say, we need players who care about the club as much as us fans.
  10. Correct decision, I hope the takeover happens so that some of those in contract can be bought out. There are 3-4 players who should never wear a Notts shirt again.
  11. Get on the deck, exploit where Swindon seem the most weak. Support and attack, don't switch off during set pieces and the job could almost be done. Just have to win and hope Cambridge lose!
  12. If Notts attacked games I think there would be a chance but Neal Ardley's total defence football is quite bland. I don't see how the result required will come.
  13. Shambles! Neil Ardley said he felt we could score from the break or maybe from a long throwing, what planet his he from? Once you go one up, you play tidy football and push for a second. He gets Notts to park the bus and to avoid playing football at all. It was grim watching!
  14. Tough game... Usually these I feel Notts won't do well in but we all know they lift themselves against bigger teams, I think the game should be okay and that thin thread of string will keep safety dangling over our heads for a few more games.
  15. That is true but for how long? The season seemed to rely on home games and I feel the pressure with this expectation has caused the home performances to be quite poor. I just hope away from home Notts cans till get them.
  16. I would hope both Stead and 'Brien are able to return. I don't think Hemmings can do it all by himself and Alessandra seems wasted on the pitch at the moment. Boldewijn is more useful on the wing for me, however one up top would be annoying to see.
  17. I would describe the game as comfortably boring, Notts did well until the moment it was needed. Too much passing back and a lot of lacking in movement in the key areas.
  18. If Notts screw up or fail to win, it's only going to get harder. I don't see where a win will come from again and the players need to rekindle the support. It's doable but if they leave it late it won't see enough fans get behind it. 1-1 is my prediction.
  19. The performance is important but it's not the main thing. Playing well breeds confidence and the scoring issue might be down to the way Notts plays, I just hope tomorrow the win comes our way. A dull draw or loss wouldn't be enough and now is -the time to fight. 2-0 is the prediction I will go with, Stead and Doyle to score.
  20. I'm not confident away from home, the FGR isn't something we can expect a repeat from and I feel the Newport result will make it harder. Depends if the players want to redeem themselves.
  21. I'm annoyed and disappointed, very poor performance and it could have been different. 3 points dropped to a relegation candidate like ourselves just seems poor. First game in which I did but I left early. I couldn't accept it.
  22. If Notts manages to win, Neal Ardley needs giving the keys to Meadow Lane. What would it feel like to beat Mansfield at home and climb further to safety? The players need to treat it carefully but focus on disrupting Mansfield's playing style. Go bet us those points!
  23. Good luck, when I turn 18 I will be all up for supporting this. ????
  24. I don't want to get carried a way before the game, I will see how things go but I am confident that something can be got from the match. I just hope Neal Ardley rewards the players who played well, both starting and as a sub. Allow the weaker performers to sit it out and get them going together.
  25. First time all season that I have been excited about attending a game, I had been nervous but now with all the new signings there is some hope. I think Notts might look disconnected but provided chances are created, the players should give Lincoln a game. I don't think a draw at this stage would be good enough, there needs to be a clever plan to win it. Tough ask I know but if we do our homework it's possible.
