Martin Paterson: A New Era Begins at Notts County
He came across really well and said all the right things. I’ll fully support him because I want the club to do well. I liked that he spoke about helping players improve and focusing on their strengths rather than their weaknesses. That’s an encouraging approach. It reminded me of something Sam Slocombe mentioned before, about not being comfortable with the ball at his feet. That might have been overlooked in the past. If the players concentrate on what they’re good at, it should help performances come more naturally. It was a good interview and I think most fans will be pleased with what he said.

Thoughts on the Goalkeeper(s) Behind Alex Bass?
I wouldn't mind seeing Archie Mair back. He never looked the most confident in goal, but there was clear potential there. It’s been a few seasons since he was with us, and our defence has come on a lot since then. I do think there’s something in going for someone more experienced. At 24, you'd expect Mair to have played more games by now. That lack of match time is a bit of a concern. Maybe we should be looking for a keeper who's had regular first team action, but also knows what it’s like to be a backup. That balance could suit us well.

Has Luke got a new job?
Neither of those pictures look edited or AI-made to me. The one shared by Wales Online clearly shows it’s Luke Williams. I get that bald blokes can sometimes look alike, but that really does look like Williams. You can tell by the way he holds himself. It’s good to see he’s not just sitting back and relying on his Swansea City payout. Still, I really hope he gets back into coaching rather than settling into a job at the airport. He’s got too much to offer the game.

Jeg havde en trillebør, hjulet faldt af
Forget the heatwave, Nottingham’s got Danish fever! Everyone’s talking about it. I don’t speak the language, so I’ll leave my thoughts here and step back for now.

Exploring ways to further strengthen the coaching and staff structure
It was great when Notts had former players working around the club. It made things feel more connected, and brought a sense of unity that fans really appreciated. I think the club could make more of the ambassador roles, especially with things like the stadium tours that Les Bradd leads. There’s a real chance to bring fans closer to the club’s history through those experiences. Of course, there’s a cost to it, but tapping into that sense of nostalgia might actually benefit the club. It could help with events or simply boost the atmosphere on matchdays. If Neil Warnock were to return in some sort of advisory role, I think it could really help whoever ends up becoming the next head coach.

Wishing Fan of Big Tone a happy birthday!
Happy Birthday, @Fan of Big Tone! 🎂🎈🎁 Sorry, I couldn't get @super_ram to dress up and give you your cake. You will have to settle for Superman instead of 'Super Ram'. 😅😂

Could it be
There are better and worse options than Luke Williams, but we know he can inspire the squad and get the best out of them. I don’t think we were ever going to get promoted in our first season, and I don’t mind that he left or how it happened. It was the worst timing for us, but it made sense for him. I just don’t think success can be repeated when so much has changed, and he struggles with defending. Still, I’d be more than happy to see him return, I just don’t see it happening.

do you think jatta will be sold?
Did Jatta end up getting suspended for longer after being sent off in the home game against AFC Wimbledon?

do you think jatta will be sold?
I think you’re right, @liampie . Losing Alassana Jatta before a new campaign, combined with delays in appointing a head coach, wouldn’t be good business for Notts. I wouldn’t speculate on how much we’d want for Jatta, but he’s surely worth more to us on the pitch. The club will have learned from losing Macaulay Langstaff. He’s a vital part of our squad now, and £500,000 wouldn’t be enough to change their minds.

Welcome to Notts Academy: Nimesh Patel.
Welcome to Meadow Lane, Nimesh Patel. I hope you can help Notts develop young talent, reducing the need to buy players and finally allowing the club to produce its own stars. That’s something most fans would love to see.

Ollie Norburn signs for Notts.
If a player has real quality, they’ll show it regardless of injury troubles. It all comes down to how those setbacks affect them, and while it’s a concern, we’ve seen players like Jodi Jones overcome similar issues and thrive at Notts. I hope Ollie has the same impact and helps strengthen the midfield. For all the criticism Matty Palmer faced as captain, we’ve clearly signed someone who can lead on the pitch even without the armband.

What's Behind the Delay to Appoint a New Head Coach?
I don’t know, it’s anyone’s guess, but there will be a reason, and the process has worked well so far. Every appointment the Reedtz brothers have made has kept us moving forward, and I trust them completely in their decision. Whoever takes charge next, I will back them fully because we need that unity to push on from League Two. Hopefully, they get off to a strong start, as that will help bring more fans onside. Support the club, not just the people who come and go.

Newcomers
You called it right, @gtownjohnno. I wasn’t expecting the club to make any more signings just yet.

Maziar Kuhyar signs from Kiddy
He looks determined, and having strong players around him will only help bring out his natural game. As others have pointed out, he brings something different to the team. We may not have signed someone from a higher level, but football is about the journey, working hard and making the most of every opportunity. Hopefully, he’ll become a cult hero at Notts, and as fans, we’ll do our best to make him feel welcome.

Matchday Traditions: What Works for You?
What makes supporting Notts County at Meadow Lane so special? The history or the passion or the sense of belonging? Each person enjoys the club for their own reasons. It is pleasant to listen to various viewpoints. When you're at the game, are you always doing something prior to the kick-off? Maybe an afternoon pub visit, a meal nearby, or a meeting of other fans beforehand before heading down into the stands. For a few fans, the build-up is half the fun as watching the match itself, an anticipation of the atmosphere and the game in general. Notts fandom is an emotional rollercoaster, highs and lows and all the rest. Your experience likely had something unique that stood out. It could have been the loud noise from the crowd, the friendly atmosphere among supporters or the excitement of watching the team perform. Each fan values the matchday experience differently. Let's discuss how we all get the best out of the atmosphere and the matchday rituals. What do you do, and how does it make you love Notts?

Close Season, Notts and more free time
How do you cope with the close season? What other hobbies do you do to distract yourself when the news isn’t as forthcoming, like it is now? How do you handle that? Are you constantly pressing F5 on social media or the official Notts site? I thought this suited the general discussion more, as some answers might focus on things other than football. I don’t mind when it’s quiet, but I don’t like it when rumours start causing issues. I prefer to wait for official news. I don’t mind sharing my thoughts, but I don’t take everything too seriously. During the close season, I spend more time catching up on things I usually prioritise Notts over. This includes my personal life, eating healthier, and going to the gym. Some long-time members might remember that I am recovering from a serious injury. Having no football has helped me focus on that more and find time for PON.

Pavis, KOP or Family Stand: Where do you sit when attending games?
I am also a Kopite and have been since I first started going. At the beginning, I would go with family, but now I go by myself as some of my relatives have moved away from Nottingham. My grandfather, who started all of this, sadly passed away last season. Only one uncle still goes, but he sits in the Pavis.
