  1. It is funny, because if it were real it would be even better. Part of the problem with the internet right now is the sheer amount of AI slop. It is not that AI itself is bad, but many people who use it are idle and churn out pointless things they would not be able to make otherwise. What it represents is amusing. The way it is made and the slop around it is what becomes annoying. Sadly, most people will not have a sharp eye like @menzinho.
  2. This year has been very painful for me. I have lost many loved ones and I have not coped well. I needed time away. I have not been to watch Notts as much and that makes it hard to visit a site that talks about the club. Please do not fuss over me. I would rather this be read without reply. I am not trying to be harsh, but it reminds me of what I have lost and how bad things have been in 2026. Last year was not much better, but at least I had a job and some hope for my future. The site is not the same, I know, and I should try to make more of an effort, but I have found myself wanting to keep to myself. Things will get better with time. I am sure some people will have noticed that I have not been around. I am fine and doing what I can to get by, but it is hard. If it was not for @liampie and a few close friends, I think things could be worse, so I am grateful for that.
  3. I like most of the people who work for the club on match days. They are friendly and they usually say hello with a smile. I know it is hard for the club to deal with this issue and I am not sure how they manage it. If they can find people who are buying the wrong tickets, including season tickets, then they should deal with that. I do not think they should treat everyone the same though. It has to be based on clear evidence and not on opinion. If it is based on opinion then it becomes worrying who they choose to challenge and who they ignore. Some fans who try to pay less might be doing it because they are struggling, but they are still choosing to be underhanded with the club they say they support. That is not right. The only problem I had was when my leg was broken. A few times I was pushed through the turnstiles and it was awful. Not everyone seems to have common sense these days and that is disappointing.

  11. A lot of our players are not the most reliable finishers. Kellan Gordon and Nick Tsaroulla have both missed very good chances and do not often take the ones that come their way. The same could be said about Scott Robertson, Ollie Norburn and Tom Iorpenda. It is not only Conor Grant or Matt Palmer who struggle in this area. Players like Jodi Jones make up for it with assists and creativity. Jodi is more than capable of scoring but does not. I do not think people hold it against him, as he works hard and is a real asset to the squad. Palmer is a credit to Notts and Grant also puts in the effort. Grant might benefit from an extra push from Martin Paterson, perhaps by being challenged to score more. Mai Traore should not be given a free pass just because he has not settled. He is a professional footballer and so far looks like the biggest flop of the Reedtz era. I would love to see him celebrate a goal, but he needs to show more form and play at a better level. Every player has limits, but each brings something different to the squad. As long as we have players who can finish chances, the goals will come. We are fortunate to have Alassana Jatta and even Matthew Dennis to a degree.
  12. The activity streak might be the push I need to get back on here as a regular face. The improvements are very good. The live features and the new menu changes make it easier to use on a mobile. It is brilliant to see more changes that help bring the community together.
  13. It is getting colder each day now. It feels good to stay inside when I can, where it is warm and comfortable. I do not blame anyone who chooses to sit in their cosy chair and enjoy the comfort of a heated home. Today has felt much slower to me. With no football to look forward to this weekend, I will need to find something else to keep myself busy.

  15. Notts have shown they can play well. It's about keeping control during matches and making sure the performance is strong enough across the full ninety minutes. The win itself isn't hugely important, but it was a good showing. Like me, fans will want to see that kind of effort more often in league games. When I say the win doesn't mean much, I don't mean it wasn't good. It does matter, just not in terms of points. It's more about the hope that Notts can rise to this level more often in League Two.
  16. Billy Dearden played for Oldham Athletic in 1966, and later managed us in 2004. The unusual link, having no playing experience with Notts, but being in charge of players.

  18. The Reedtz are showing real commitment to the club by writing off the debt. Our two previous owners would not have done that, and while one did save us from Munto, it was not on the same level as this gesture. The decision is not about paying people back but about pushing for promotion to League One. This deserves a lot of appreciation because it has been done in the best interests of the club and its aim to become sustainable. The whole club has changed since the National League years. Some may not agree with what I have said before, but I do not think anyone can underestimate the good the Reedtz have brought to Meadow Lane. We are now being run like an ambitious club. To match that, we just need to keep working towards promotion. Things feel much brighter, even if this season’s recruitment raised a few eyebrows. That is part of the reason why smart loans were considered. We just need to back the players and hope they can deliver or at least help us along the way.
  19. Crewe fans on social media are acting like they’re unbeatable. I find it annoying when their stadium name sounds like a breakfast cereal. Notts needs to keep up the recent momentum and keep working hard to create chances. I don’t mind a draw if it’s earned through effort. Defensively, we should be able to handle Crewe. The main worry is their aerial threats and set pieces, but we’ve looked better lately. I hope we can ease the pressure at the back by attacking more or at least keeping hold of the ball and moving into areas that stretch them.
  20. Rod McDonald is a good example of what makes life easier for a manager. Part of the reason he's been so consistent might be down to Martin Paterson and the fact McDonald wants to impress the new coach. I thought he did alright under Stuart Maynard, but I feel he's showing his appreciation to Paterson for letting him take up the central spot in the back three.
  21. I am not all the clued up with cricket, but even I know who Dickie Bird is. I hope he rests in peace.
  22. Didn't he last join a Non-League side? I’m guessing he’s not playing anymore and this is now his full-time job. It’s always sad when a young player’s career doesn’t go the way it looked like it might. Signing for Liverpool would have been a huge moment, and being let go must have been hard to take. Still, he’s found something he cares about and seems happy doing it. That’s a good thing. Even so, it’s a real shame for football to lose that kind of promise.
