  1. Saying it’s fine to win ugly doesn’t help in the long run. It’s okay now and then, but if a team relies on luck or one good chance, it sends the wrong message. That said, fans should enjoy the odd scrappy win when it comes. Against Fleetwood, we looked like the better side, so I don’t really get why MP said the performance wasn’t “good”.
  2. Welcome to the community. I’ve not been around much myself lately, I took a break when the club was going through a rough patch. But I do like how supportive everyone is here. Nice to see you, @sentient.
  3. These look brilliant, well done @Ash. It’s great to see someone your age helping to bring something like this back.
  4. The club and the Reedtz brothers have learnt a lot over time. Most of their time in charge has been positive, and our first season back in League Two followed that same path. I’m pleased with the progress. I don’t expect everything to be perfect, but I do expect steady improvement and for the club to figure out how to handle each level. It took four seasons to get out of the National League, and now we’re in our third season back in the EFL. You’d hope this season or the next will be the one where we go up. The most important thing is to appreciate what’s happening off the pitch. The club is becoming more stable and better run, which helps Notts stay strong in the long term. Any fan calling for the owners to leave clearly doesn’t realise how lucky we are right now.
  5. Wishing Pride of Nottingham all the best. I’ve noticed loads of changes since I last posted, and it’s great to see how things have moved forward. I’ll look to donate in the next few weeks.
  6. Fleetwood Town looked poor in the first half. They didn’t create anything that worried me, apart from one chance they wasted. Kelle Roos did well to hold his ground, even if the shot was straight at him. Notts looked close to scoring throughout, and once Matt Dennis got the goal, it felt like a second was coming. Then we started misplacing passes and lost control a bit. Still, a very good win and a solid team performance overall.
  7. Robbie started following NortonNCFC
  8. There’s nothing surprising in the registration update. I’m actually a bit surprised the club bothered to post it, since most of it was obvious. Still, it’s good they did. These updates often get overlooked, but keeping fans informed is important.
  9. I imagine this is the club’s way of trying to calm some of the concerns around the rumours and the lack of clear updates. It doesn’t really offer much, though. The message feels quite shallow and full of corporate language. I think they could’ve shared more, especially about what they’re actually working on behind the scenes.
  10. It’s not a big loss, though I do respect the effort Curtis Edwards gave. He looked like a smart signing at first, which was a nice surprise. It’s a shame it didn’t work out, and in the end it felt like he was never meant to stay long.
  11. We’ll have to see how Mai Traoré gets on now the transfer window’s shut. There’s not much room to bring anyone else in, so I’m puzzled why MP asked for signings when it seemed unlikely. Was it just a distraction, or maybe wishful thinking? I’m not sure, but Traoré needs to prove himself now.
  12. Great pictures of the fans! You captured the occastion well.
  13. The nerves are settling in I just hope Notts can get a result away from home. 1-0 will do me! If Jon Stead scores it should come some supporters quiet too.
  14. This is how I feel but if Notts plays well on their day they can beat any team in this league. Issue we haven't seen the best of the squad but the signs under Neal Ardley are so far good, a positive draw wouldn't be the worst result. I would take it.
  15. It would be nice to see better stats for once, either the players will respond or they will play like amateurs.
  16. I think a 1-0 win is on the cards for Notts, I don't expect the squad to put in another performance like we have seen against Crewe and Crawley.
