How does it feel losing the World's Oldest Football League club tag?
What a well written, constructive piece which does provoke thought. I don't like the fact the title has been lost, it's something if used well can be marketed and that only helps the club who holds it which is sadly our neighbours. The key is gaining a prompt return to the Football League.

Match Discussion: Game 15 - The Whites (A)
Avoiding changes has given the players better chances to settle and perform better, I don't think Notts performed too badly against AFC Flyde in the second half. Away from home I think things have been harder, so I see Dover as a tough outfit.

Match Discussion: Game 14 - The Coasters (H)
If the performance is there, all the fans who attend should go home happy. I am hoping they do, as high crowds are normally a potential banner skin for the club.

Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Ravens (A)
A win could change the course of the season and give the fans something really to get behind, momentum is building nicely but I wouldn't be disheartened by a set back. I just hope to see a strong performance.

Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Glovers (A)
I'm expecting a setback, I hope I am wrong but I think confidence is easier to manage at home. I suppose we'll have to see how the games goes.

Match Discussion: Game 3 - The Bees (H)
I thought Barnet played very well, they made the most of their chances and you can see the difference between them and us. They have an established squad who play for each other, ours are still getting used to it. I am only disappointed about throwing the lead away.

PON Fundraiser
Not disappointed about not winning, I will look out for the next raffle and you can be sure I will have a go. Well done to the winners, enjoy the prizes!

Match Discussion: Game 23 - The Mariners (A)
Cedric Evina doesn't cope that well with direct or pacey teams, Dan Jones seems the better fit. If push came to a shove, I would rather see Rob Milsom or Andy Kellett play there.

Match Discussion: Game 22 - Super White Army (H)
I just want to go, watch some sort of attacking football and feel I can write something constructive up afterwards. When there's just negatives I choose not to post mostly for that reason alone.
-
Match Discussion: Game 19 - The Shrimps (A)
If the players had any pride left they would fight even if it meant drawing being turned over by some of the worst teams in this leagues depressing but they should see how the fans feel having to watch them play.

Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - Rovers (H)
Will anyone from PON be going? I don't attend these cup games, I have no interest in the competition but I do wonder what people make of it who do go to the games.
-
Match Discussion: Game 17 - The Valiants (A)
It will sound negative but I think away from home we are only destined to lose points, I am not confident about this game at all.
-
Match Discussion: Game 12 - The Silkmen (A)
I am not sure how Macclesfield have been playing but just because they are bottom wouldn't make them easy in my eyes, it all depends on the work rate. If the Notts players settle and adapt to the game, I feel a good result will come. 2-0 Notts win is my prediction.
-
Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Alex (H)
I wasn't sure Notts would get the goal to seal all three points despite them pushing for it. I am pleased for the likes of Elliott Hewitt, Ross Fitzsimons and Jon Stead because sometimes they are undervalued. The first two are starting to show their worth, so I hope the club can keep it up. Impressive performance to say how poor Notts have been.

Match Discussion: Game 10 - The Alex (H)
Notts have to pressure the Crewe defence, looks at how they have played I think we could play them on the ropes if the tempo is right. I also hope Harry Kewell don't make changes for the sake of it.
-
Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Cobblers (A)
Notts played better than they did against Exeter and the game could have gone either way. I felt proud of how the squad performed, we could have scored or conceded as I say but the focus from Notts was to perform as a team. I think that is part of the difference and things should only improve here on out. It's a good draw.
-
Match Discussion: Game 9 - The Cobblers (A)
It's got to be better than the Exeter game. I feel it will be more down to how Harry Kewell approaches the game from the sidelines, it's all fine training well and saying they're prepared but if they cannot adapt in the game then points will only be lost.

Match Reaction: Notts County 3-3 Stevenage
Much better all round, hopefully in a few weeks things will be merrier.
-
Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Boro (H)
There is finally something to build on now. I am worried that the club doesn't realise that Fitzsimons is a shadow of his former self, I do hope that he can improve but I don't see it. I felt the defence looked better, all the signings fitted in and worked hard. It's just those moments when nobody takes responsibility that punishes Notts.
-
Match Discussion: Game 8 - The Boro (H)
I'm not trying to be negative I just can't see where a win will come from. Only Jon Stead, Enzio Boldewijn and Kane Hemmings look confident on goal and the rest look shaky at the back. A draw is possible but I can't call the game so no prediction from me.
-
Match Discussion: EFL Trophy - The Mariners (A)
When did Notts last lead a game going into half time? Can someone please tell me.
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Exiles (A)
The performance by Notts early on was good, the players controlled the game but the headaches changed after Newport County changed their tactics. After that it was all downhill. What was a bright start was nothing more than a major disappointment. It almost seemed possible that a draw could have been picked up, the Dennis goal came from out of nowhere but the same old issue occurred at the back. The result wasn't acceptable.
-
Match Discussion: Game 4 - The Exiles (A)
Time to get on with things and focus in doing right by the performance on the pitch, the biggest issue has been players switching off and not tracking back to defend. Newport has to be different.
-
Match Discussion: Game 2 - United (A)
It's going to be a very slow start I feel but again an improvement since the opening game against Colchester United. The pressure may be mounting the players to get their first win soon, as will the expectations of gaining promotion. Defensively Notts wasn't very good but its hard to be discouraged from the outfield play. Once chances was created, Notts looked bright and entertaining.

Match Discussion: Game 21 - The Hatters (A)
I would take a point here myself. We need Yates, Grant and Hawkridge all on form and trying to drive play forward. Any news on Dan Jones yet? He would be a welcome addition to the back four and would give us some strengthening in that department.
